  • F-35s from Luke Air Force Base and their maintainers prepare aircraft for Red Flag missions. F-15Es from Mountain Home AFB launch for night missions. Dutch F-35s and U.S. F-16 Aggressors taxi out for missions. The Air Force says: "These exercises build partnerships and interoperability among our allies and across domains. This Red Flag provides complex-realistic scenarios concentrated on the European theater."
Red Flag is a multi-national exercise held several times yearly at Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas, Nevada. Diverse warplanes from different services execute missions in a combat scenario intended to hone the skills of participants.
