THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this video! I LOVE ramen and it never crossed my mind that there would be an instant ramen option that could be as satisfying as the goods from an actual Japanese restaurant. After seeing this video, I ordered the instant ramen IMMEDIATELY and OMG, it was SO BOMB! I'm stoked I can recreate a satisfying bowl of ramen at home in under 5 mins. I'm a new subscriber & enjoy your vids - keep up the good work! Mahalo ~
francor325 yay!!!! I’m so stoked you got to try it and loved it! I haven’t had this ramen since I made this video!! I think I’ll need to place an order for more ASAP!
Please don’t take this as offence but you did not follow the instructions correctly, it indicates that consumer should put the dry packet and the oil packet into the pot after the noodles are cooked and the fire is turned off completely. :(
With Japanese ramen, they use 2 types of base for their soup. The dry packet is for the flavor of the broth and the liquid packet is for the aroma of the broth 😁
Damn. This is so good. Once I tried legit ramen house I thought instant Noodles will never be the same. Its a good substitute just to fix your cravings
I like Yamagoya Tonkotsu Ramen, and I've been trying several instant tonkotsu ramens, I've tried Marutai the pink one, Daisho, and two Itsuki, four kinds exactly but none of them tastes as good as Yamagoya Tonkotsu Ramen. These two were out of stock from the online local store that I bought from the other day. Now I'm getting these two, I hope it meet my expectation, or at least close to the Yamagoya tonkotsu ramen.
This isn't how you're supposed to make the ramen. The officail instructions are to cook the noodles fist, then use the water to make the broth. And I find the idea of adding butter to the tonkotsu broth quite unpleasant. I got mine very thick and rich by just taking a bit of water out after cooking.
Bought some because of this video, the same kind made as well. Honestly was a light soup with not much flavor. It was okay, that's it. Not the best but not the worst.
Have you tried Itsuki brand? Is Marutai better? For these “twin pack” style ramens, I’ve tried - Itsuki, Daisho, Menraku. Itsuki was by far the best. Daisho & Menraku were super bland, watery and disappointing. Still wanting to try Marutai though.
@@prozerthemightyblue2304 I've never tried it yet, since Japanese groceries never have it. Itsuki, Yamamoto and anything Nissin or JDM Maruchan are my faves so far. www.youtube.com/@LessTalkMoreDelicious/search?query=itsuki
if you gonna constantly microwave a ceramic bowl, it will loose all the natural moisture in it, and soon you will notice micro breakage on its surface, and eventually turn it more brittle..
I lived in Japan for 2 years and my favorite place to get ramen was a place called dambo ramen hopefully im remembering the place correctly cuz I do know their is one in LA California
Foodie Marie I haven’t had any luck finding anything similar to these here in Hawaii! But honestly I think if you add butter to any instant ramen it’ll take it to the next level haha
@@PhilipLemoine I went to Nijiya Market in SF Japantown and they don't carry this. They carry the Itsuki brand. I wonder how Itsuki compares to Marutai brand.
If anyone has noticed atlease on the East Coast, their are Asian Noodle houses popping up EVERYWHERE ! The ONLY problem I have is..... They charge ALOT for a bowl ! Minimum $16. And that's Minimum. Plus a tip. I have a Asian Fusion Noodle house at a place called" New Britain Village Square " shopping center in Chalfont, lower Bucks County, Pa. THEY charge you per vegetable and type of meat and type of broth. For a bowl, with pork broth,Pork belly , and 3 vegetable choices , no drink, $23. With tip. RIDICULOUS ! BUT, I WILL say. It was good. I still say its a RIP OFF ! WHAT ? 1000% Profit off a stinking bowl of Ramen noodles ?
I need to check this brand out. Their product looks great! My favorite Ramen House is Umaido in Suwanee, GA... a close second is Hajimé in Atlanta, GA, also owned by the folks at Umaido.
bruh... i got a few important things to tell you. 1. Do not add powder to noodle until you are ready to stop the fire. This is VERY important. They literally spent ages to cold dry the noodles, so that it creates an amazing barrier. This barrier is super crucial for keeping the consistency of the broth and noodles. The noodles should be al dente, not freaking mush like you made. The broth should not be thickened by the noodles or imparted flavors to each other. that destroys the balance. 2. WTF.... butter. Why... like... WHY... The broth isn't suppose to be thickened. You don't need to add flat oil. maybe sesame or roasted sesame oil, but you shouldn't have to add BUTTER. Your going to kill the flavor notes that the broth was already pre-made for. Your going to destroy the umami, that they spent so much effort making. why? for richness.... bruh, do you even know what ramen is? its 100% rich. You must havef zero taste. I dont want to be mean.. but as the video kept going. It honestly looks like your 100% trolling. Your just spitting on ramen. Your legit just ruining it in the worst way. If you are not trolling, then by god, please get fucking help, and go learn to cook. I've never said this before, but jesus im actually happy this video didn't blow up. If you or anyone reads this. For reference.... just follow the damn instructions. Japanese food products, legit lay down the basic foundations. Before anybody goes, "well you should make it how you like it". Well don't get gourmet ramen then. Gourment Ramen is 100% designed to be fool proof, simplified, and intended to taste exactly how its suposed to be. They spent hours upon hours making it. if you want to add toppings, fine. But if you change the SUPER SIMPLE cooking method for it, then you are just shitting on them. Not only are you shitting on them, your likely terrible at taste and should NOT BE A COOK.
Santouka in Vancouver BC has great tasting ramen! There is also one in Seattle but i prefer the one in Vancouver. Don't know if there are other ones in other cities though.
