Very underrated band. I saw them once in the late 90s and I thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. My friends were really snobby about music and didn't want to even stay and listen to them (after some local band we liked opened) because they were on mainstream radio stations. That really pissed me off.
that album still blows my mind. oh, and if you haven't seen them do those first two/three songs in a studio (i think for pitchfork), it'll just balloga the lota ya to flotsam and jetsam…!
"amazing grace" still kills me to death! ;) the entire album is a friggin dirge, but, seriously: "it sounds like razors in your ears / that's how you sing amazing grace," and "someday I'll give it all away / that's how you sing amazing grace." (which is to say nothing of "little argument with myself," as the penultimate argue naked sort of end of the beginning of love…!!) RIP mimi.
@@ChadBergersonpeople think I’m on meth when I get nervous out in public. I rant….Good thing for guitars!!! Instead of take drugs for rambling or nervousness, I try my best to just keep getting out there. Soon I’ll be playing shows again!! ❤
adore Low. I could live in hope is one of the most important albums in my life.
Earlier this year I drove 10 hours with my wife to see them in Sante Fe at Meow Wolf on my birthday. It was amazing.

Spoken with a lot of depth and emotion about music he loves.
One of best bands of all time, Double Negative is one of best albums of the decade
And then came Hey What. Transcendental.
@@ftm84 hard to believe that after Double Negative Low managed to do an album at the same level, if not better
@@HermanWaldorf Right??? I love all of their albums, but those last three were game-changing. I'm so sad about Mim.

breaks my heart so see Alan high in those interviews.
Well, that's presumptuous. Aside from smoking weed, I don't think Alan is a drug guy.
High? That is nervous energy from speaking on camera. What a stupid remark!

Isn't he Mormon?
aw not what i expected other than the wall
I reckon Alan has a positive allergy to coffee .
He had to mention minimalism. I knew Floyd, especially Waters Floyd, had to be a big influence. I love his less-is-more approach.
that hat is about to fall apart
Incredible how the low first album is better than these albums.
