Personally I think it's super smart that they have both the body styles running side by side. Gives the consumer more choice and the 4th gen is just taking in money at this point
Just traded a 2019 2WD Longhorn in for a 2020 4WD Longhorn with air ride and Ram boxes. It's safe to say I really like this truck. The black and new saddle interior sold me almost 2 years ago.
Went to buy a different brand for 2021, and ended up with another RAM. They drive sporty, and the interior lets you know they didn’t cheap out on quality. I’ve had great reliability with RAM since 2009.
Amen brother!!! Your right.
The new ones are nice but I have a 2016 ram 1500 Laramie lifted love it no complaints
I drove GM pickups for the last 25 years, owning one or more of each generation of trucks. My most recent, 2017 LTZ with the notorious 8L90 transmission. I was fed up with the persistent vibration, even after a complete suspension replacement and all driveline components except the power plant and transmission. I decided to test drive one of every 1/2 ton truck available currently. The Ram won, hands down. I purchased a 2021 Ram Laramie, making it my first Mopar since I sold my 1972 Roadrunner. So far I am impressed. I am in the process of personalizing it with mods, lift, wheels and tires etc.
FYI I drove a 2021 Silverado a s they still ride like dookie.
I was in the same boat as you. Wow…. 10 years ago I would say. No Ram for me. As I see and listen to other Ram owners and the great reliability they have had I figured hey. Try one out. I got 2019 Longhorn and so far will never look back. Great truck by far. Had mostly GM. Tired of the same issues. Had a couple Fords. Not bad and a little better.
I was a Ford man until I test drove a 2008 1500. I just bought my third ram two weeks ago. 2021 1500 bighorn trim. Yeah, these trucks nice.
Late 4th gens I'd trust most right now. '18 or 19'classic w/o elect crud.
I agree 😉
I agree 100% also. Great improvement.
Not the biggest hemi fan in the world but I do like Cummins
The 2015 2016 2017 4th gens are timeless in terms of interior quality and up to date looking infotainment and gauge cluster UI. Even 2 phone holders built into the trucks. Ugh i miss my rebel. But im looking forward to eventually getting a fully loaded 2500 cummins.
Have a 2020 Larime on 20x10 and 34.7 Tires had to trim nothing major on a 3.5 in lift. Rides great and does well off road also just did a 700 mile trip and was comfortable the whole way.
I love my 5th gen ram absolutely love it
Dustin is soooo good on what’s the hype!!🥳
I got a 2021 Bighorn Built to serve, best truck I've ever owned!
Just wait til the HDs get the new cabs they’ll be even better looking
Im sure they will catch up to ram with design eventually
I love my 5th Gen Ram. It’s worth the hype!
I’ve had the 07 reg cab 4x
The 2012 crew cab 4x
The 21 crew 4x
And now have the 22 crew built to serve edition
My 2012 I put through hell
Bounced through the mountains in Colorado following the jeeps. And never had a problem that I didn’t cause my self
The 22 I have is absolutely amazing. It’s just a stepped up big horn but I love every aspect of it
From the orange accent interior to the alpine sound system
The coil suspension rides like a dream. It tows my camper with zero issues
I do have the Etorque which so far I don’t see any issues
Absolutely love the fifth gen but the fourth gen is just as good and depending where on how you build it. The fourth gens can look way meaner ( fiber weed fenders) for instance
I have a 2019 Ram 1500 5.7. Best truck I’ve ever owned. Possibly going to upgrade to a power wagon once they have the new cab.
Ish M you obviously haven’t owned a 15-20 f150 5.0 that is the best truck ever made
American Truck Nation my uncle has a 18 f150 and has had the motor replaced after 1 year and took 6 months to get a new motor in it
Brody Taylor he could have just got a bad one
American Truck Nation that is true. Most trucks are good but there is a few bad ones in a batch
Brody Taylor yeah, you mass produce anything not all of them are going to be good
Gen 5 is one sweet ride
I can’t wait to finish my truck build little by little it’s the rims that I can’t decide lol I have a white truck 2020 not sure to go with chrome or black 22’ s but I would post it on your website for the finished build 👍🏻
Love it. My first full size truck. 2020 Laramie Sport 4x4. Trying to pick a 3.5 lift now.
I think they look really nice, Just a sleek clean look. That being said I still like the 4th gen way more
Have 19k on my 2019 love it
My 2022 1500 Bighorn Night Edition is the best truck I’ve ever owned. Biggest reason I switched to Ram from Ford is because I couldn’t touch a stripped down F150 for the $45k after rebates I bought the Ram for.
Buying the bump step and tailgate shock for my gen 5 . I like the classic as well but chose the gen 5
My ram came stock with 33s so you don’t even need a level
Mine too
I really wish they would have kept a manual transmission and the cross grill and gave us a more reliable less electronic engine but other than that I love em
5th gen Rams are better. Ram did a great job on improving from the previous generation
The body style and that giant screen more likely.
You can install that screen on any pickup truck now couple hundred dollars Dodge was just the first ones to make it Factory
I'll probably pick one up.
Don’t. Do yourself a favor
I will keep working on my 2nd gen ram...1998 ram 1500 4x4 ..still going strong...best of all ..it's paid for...I'm not going to spend 50,000 grand on a new truck...
I remember commenting do whats the hype on 5th gen rams
Got the 2019 classic old body style hemi, got a 2.5” level and tiny trimming got 35x12.5 tired in there
I want one!!
Tanner no you don’t
Now ford and Chevy are sitting back taking notes lol 2022 is going to be the year for the truck market interior
Ford and GM are sweating there ass’s off. They are worried. Ram cost them tons of money because of there upgrades just to stay in the game.
I love ram trucks I just wish they were more reliable
They are more reliable. Review the data. Greatly and dramatically improved. Data tells all my friend.
I love the interior & not so much on the exterior.
Or the engines they really made em shitty in the past few years
@@jett_teague yeah, I've got an 09 Ram Hemi, no issues
Lou Indorato that was Mercedes that made that truck the FIAT ones are awful
Lou Indorato 09 was the last good year of dodge engines
@@jett_teague I've got a 130,000 miles & still running strong .
whats your thoughts on getting a pedal commander instead of a tuner to help with 37 in tires?
Waste of money. Get a tune
@@bradj5642 whats up Brad why is it a waste of money in your opinion?
Robert Montoya don’t do it if it goes wrong the pedal will mess with the truck, happened with my dad
@@asah4155 what do you mean? what did it do to the truck? and was it fixable if you removed the pedal commander?
If they make a 2WD single cab short bed I may consider one.
Don’t ford is better
@@americantrucknation4891 Sorry bud. Ford is not. Not bad. Better then GM but not better.
@@ramrider1453 in what way? The Fords never rust, have more power, torque. More space in the cab, towing, payload. The ability to power a house. They are also better built and more reliable. But never mind all that, I’m curious
@@americantrucknation4891 hmmm never rust. Underneath would. Fly on the highway would dent it. Lol. More reliable? Well stats say they are falling in that category but they are decent. Better than GM of course. Lifter springs are breaking on the eco boost. Cam phaser failures. Transmission issue also. I’m sure they will work out the bugs but it is an issue. Seen it first hand. I would prefer the coyote myself but they have issues also. It’s a matter of picking your poison really on all brands. As for on board generator is an excellent idea. Myself I rather have a Honda generator. Cheaper and more reliable for all needs. My Honda is still working after 20 years.
Do a vid on how ur tpms sensors dont work for the 5th gen trucks
Opinions of a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 slt 4x4
Decent prices for the options compares to ford and chevy.
What about that transmission?.. what's new?.
When you gonna talk about the real bread winner for dodge the caravan.
That’s a 6th gen
Correct, people name them 1st 2nd and so on for the 2500+ diesel engines
1st gen 1981 - 1993
2nd gen 1994 - 2002
3rd gen 2003 - 2008
4th gen 2009 - 2018
5th gen 2019- now
03-05 is 3rd 06-08 is 4th
American Truck Nation No.. They are both 3rd gens, same everything just different headlights
Zach Olinger if you put it like that we are still on the 3rd gen as everything is the same. And in 07 they switched to the 6.7
Video with whistindiesel
At the end of the day its still a dodge. Don’t hate it, Don’t love it.
Bob Bob Fiat, it’s all bad
Any nice black wheels under 1000 dollars.( I dont want to spend more on rims than I did on the whole truck)

👍😎❗

Raptor.Tremor means nothing. I don’t believe it because ford did not win in 2015 f150 or 2017 super duty those are instant classics the first year of the aluminum body and box
@@americantrucknation4891 its a paid advertisement
Raptor.Tremor yes
TRX. Other than that, none 😂
I’m really not huge on this gen, I really think the last gen is meaner. The 5th gen doesn’t scream truck to me, it screams pavement princess.glad they got rid of the regular cab though, 4 doors for more (finish the sentence)

No hype for me. RAM is awful they’re pretty but that’s is it. Have you seen the recalls on these? They have no quality. None. The transmission in any RAM has never been any good. I will never consider FIAT product. I absolutely hate all new ram pickups! Just because it looks pretty and has a big screen doesn’t mean it’s any good at doing what trucks need to do! Even then this is still a mid-cycle refresh the cab is the same as the 2002!! These trucks cannot claim number one in anything, because they simply didn’t try!! What is up with that?!! A new truck that the manufacturer just threw together? No. Never will I consider it. FIAT can barely build their micro- cars right! Why do I want them building my truck? Awful FIAT just awful.
Couldn’t agree more
How can you not drool over the 2500/3500, lifted, on like 40s?
Lucca Virgallito I do, but it’s not about the looks for me. It’s the strength, the power and the longevity. FIAT has none of these
Most do not use a truck as a tool at all anymore. Asphalt princesses. If one does not need a truck one should not buy one at all.
Can't beat a cummins
