I have a 2001 2500 cummins. I would love to upgrade to a 2020 but I would need to get two more jobs, sell one or two of my kids and have the wife get a second job. The price on the new trucks are ridiculous.
been buying RAM trucks for the past 2 years and what i have noticed is that the best time to buy a RAM truck is from mid October to the end of the year. This past year i bought a new Ram Rebel with a MSRP of 54k for 38,500 before taxes. That was a great deal. I was not looking at the 2500 then, but started looking in December of 2019 and you the 2019 2500 Leramie 4x4 were selling for about 52k or 54k depending on options. About 15k of MSRP. SO just around those times for the deal possible.
100% I have just the 2" bds levels on my black megacab, with 35s. After see this im definitely copying that carli and 38s. Need to get it deleted too still, but that will be done shortly.
Gale banks sure has some opinions about that. I followed your ideas on my last truck and it worked out well but this time on my 2020 I’m gonna do the bank route and leave the emissions intact and save my warranty. Cheers

I bought a brand new 2019 Ford F150. 45 days later I traded it for a Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. When you get to be a senior satisfaction can be short lived. Better to be happy. Love my Ram.

Really like the video. You’re the first reviewer who has ever mentioned the lateral tail wag. I own a 2015, 2016 and 2018 Ram 2500 and they are used quite extensively to tow heavy loads here on our farm in California. They ride incredibly nice but when the bed is loaded with tools and has a fifth wheel, I sometimes experience a rocking boat motion that has occasionally progressed to the point where I need to reduce speed. This has primarily happened with the air suspension coupled with the RamBoxes. I completely agree with your assessment to hold off getting a new truck with the new cab and transmission update with more gears. Personally, because I had a 2013 1500 with the eight speed ZF transmission, I hope Ram decides to go with the ZF transmission. The have such buttery smooth and precise shifting qualities that have to be felt to be believed. Until then, I’ll keep my current 4th gen. trucks even though they have over 100,000 miles on them.
How does this kid/channel only have 10k subs? I don't even like trucks, especially diesels and watched the whole video! Great video and editing plus he seems to know what he is talking about. Well done man!
The biggest draw back imo is you can't delete them, at least legally. The def system is absolute pain in the ass. Saving the earth one plastic bottle at the time.
you can't legally delete any diesel so whats your point? if you don't have emissions testing in your state its almost unheard of to get busted for deleting
Too funny I own a 2019 diesel pickup and a 2014 highway tractor, I have NEVER put a DEF from a jug in either truck. I add 65l of DEF at every other tank of fuel(2246l or 600 gallons) my 500hp volvo thats gets 6.3mpg at 140,000lbs is averaging 88km/L(51mpg) on def. My pickup has only been filled 5 times in 46,000km(28k miles).
I love my 2020 Ram 2500 Cummins.. I was a little nervous going into it hearing all of the horror stories about the 68rfe, but I really like it so far. Very smooth shifting, doesn’t hunt for gears. Tows my boat like it’s not even there. Love it.
If Ram just decided to only use the Aisin Transmission for both 2500/3500 as the only option they would infinitely improve their reputation. Also follow suit with the other big 2.
By far the nicest truck I've ever owned. I haul on a regular basis about 12000lbs with it and pulls great. Still a huge fan of gm but can't beat the ride and luxury of the ram.
My ‘19 3500 HO shifts like a manual. I don’t know how else to explain it. Very positive feel, shifts firm and quickly. Mine is spec’d with the Aisin however since I use it primarily for towing equipment. But it drives super nice when driving normal conditions Also I’ll say, it SO DIFFICULT to stay at posted speed limits. VERY easy to speed without realizing it.
this is not a troll comment ,but if an owner wants to tack in 200 plus HP..with hot tunes the 68rfe will not last...If you mod the motor..mod the transmission..68rfe is a VERY reliable TRansmission..Great video
I came from a 2012 tundra rock warrior. And while that truck was awesome and reliable as hell, this ram 19 2500 Laramie longhorn is a beast compared to it. I’ve had 3 elks in the bed with full gear and topper, 4 hunters and it hauled ass like there was nothing back there.
my cousin just bought a 2015 2500 Ram diesel with 50,000 miles.amazing truck. The ride for a Heavy Duty truck is second too none.I can only imagine how good that new truck is.Don't know how u can make a better truck then those Rams
I run a 19 Ram 3500 6.7 dually for my hotshot business. I love everything about it except of course the emissions crap which I can’t change cause DOT. Another thing I can’t stand is finding parts for it. Every time I call a dealer or auto store they only have stuff for 18 and older so I have to wait a week, give or take. That stops me in my tracks financially. Drives me nuts!!
I'm 3 seconds into this video. Just drove my 2021 HO Cummins Laramie home from the dealer! I smiled the whole way home and completely forgot about the price. I had the dealer swap my fuel wheels from my 2500 as part of the deal, that made it all worth it. I'll put her through the towing ringer tomorrow, but I know it's going to be 1000 times better then the 6.4!
I still drive my 97 Dodge 2500 4X4 LB Cummins 12 Valve. No diesel emissions BS, ~24 mpg, and with 120K miles, it is just getting started. Plus it is paid for. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of modern trucks but I don't really need/use all that stuff anyway.
I can tell you with 💯 truth that my brother-in-law owned a 2019 diesel ram and 6 months in he had things going wrong with it and he said it was poorly put together and weird sounds were coming from the engine... he was even told by a mechanic at the dealership that he knows that he better get rid of it because they had a lot of complaints... he traded it in on a GMC and has had no issues with it.... I’m not a diesel guy myself I’m just telling my story of my brother-in-law’s experience
I own a 2020 Ram 3500 and use this thing to make a living with. I absolutely love the power out of the HO Cummins and the Aisen is the best transmission Ram has has thus far. What's even better is how this truck can stop all that weight behind you as well. I don't think I'd even consider a different truck for work. I love the 5th Gen
@@onym1 nowadays I run a hotshot with the truck. I've already put 155,000 miles on it since I bought it in June of 1020. The most I had behind it was 18,000 lbs. It was heavy but it handled it.
@10:33 I thought the half tons were the new kiddie haulers and mall crawlers...a stock coil spring rear end on a three quarter ton cummins!? Thats insane..might as well just have a cummins Durango at that point
The coil suspension on these trucks is severely oversized from the half ton coils. I max out the rear axle rating on my 19 2500 pretty regularly and have been rather impressed with the rear coils. This truck feels more stable and handles the weight better then my old duramax.
So i'm one to not like "walk through" videos, but I really appreciate him keeping the points flowing. I learned a lot, and think this was very well done. I have a 2020 ram 1500 4x2 lone star, but definitely want to hold off for the next gen 2500 model for an upgrade.
I would have to disagree to an extent about what you said about the rear coils being terrible for heavy towing. I tow pretty regularly for farm work, from large loads of hay, to horses, to cows, to heavy equipment many times as max gross weight and sometimes over on short trips down the road. My previous truck was an 07 duramax, and I feel like this truck is lightyears ahead of my old truck as far as stability and load caring capability. The truck also squats less then my duramax did hauling the same loads, this coil suspension will sit exactly level with the rear axle at max capacity (6k lbs). Now obviously I would agree that if your truck is a dedicated tow rig the 3500 is the way to go. But for a small hobby farmer like myself who daily drives my truck I feel like the coil suspension is a great option.
Good review. Just to let everyone know that we haul a 15,000lb gooseneck, cross country all the time and it's stable as can be. Max tow on my 2500 is nearly 20,000lbs, so there is no need for a 3500 unless you are regularly hauling 17,000+.
My 2019 Cummins 2500 has a payload of 2069lbs, my 8,000lb empty, 5th has a tongue weight of 1,650lbs, I can barely slide in under the payload restriction. I'd suggest you don't check the pin weight of your 15,000lb trailer!! Yes you can certainly pull it but will your insurance cover you in an accident!!
@Jonathan Tripp That's more of a problem with the design of 5th wheel campers. With gooseneck flatbeds and livestock haulers etc, you are able to shift the load weight so you achieve an appropriate tongue weight. If we are talking 5th wheels, you probably maxing out with an 11,000lb trailer plus kit.
@@randyphillips559 See my other comment to @Jonathan Tripp for further explanation on our hauling - we're on the Cat Scales regularly. In your case though, you have 420lbs of excess payload.
I've gotta say dude. This was the BEST damn review I've ever seen on a Ram. You weren't a fan boy and pointed out concerns while also highlighting the many positives. You seem really young to be THAT knowledgeable about trucks but wow was I blown away with your review! I have a 2019 1500 Laramie. But have been thinking about upgrading to a 2500 for a while...thus watching all the different reviews. Yours is hands down the best I've seen 👀
I’ll be the first to say I don’t know everything, but I figured I’d share what I could from my experience driving these new trucks! 26 sure feels old to me! 😂
F-ing love my truck. 2019 Ram 3500 Laramie Crew Cab with a HO Cummins. I pulled 25k pounds up a 40% grade and didn't lose anything. This truck pulls. In todays market. I've been offered more then what I've paid for the truck.
I like Cummins but I had a 2019 Ram 2500 for a work truck for about 5 months and it was garbage to work out of. Engine was great but everything surrounding it was awful. Transmission issues, electronics acting up, front diff issues, etc. luckily a recall of the trans catching the truck on fire allowed me to go back to the new powerstrokes.
Kojack yeah the transmissions are creating too much pressure and causing the fluid to come out of the dipstick tube and hit the turbo and igniting. We had two trucks catch on fire because of it. They have a recall out on it. We got rid of all our company Rams and went back to Fords.
@@stonereed and our company got rid of the 2016-2018 FORDS from the east coast division and replaced them with 2020 RAMS. The workers love them and prefer them over the FORD. Our West division is now having issues with there 2019(bought in the year 2018) F-150's. The 10 speed transmissions are not that great as they are now developing issues, among other problems.
I liked the way you explained the truck on this video. I wanted a dirty max but after seeing your video I am hands down convinced to get a ram as I already have an 2016 ecodiesel (I am not happy with the tuning of it going to get a gde tune when I can afford it). In summation your video has me excited about an dodge 3/4 ton! Thank you!
My 2020 2019 1500 longhorn has been amazing in terms of electronics. The few hiccups have self resolved in 10 mins at most. My assumption is that if the system doesn't boot quickly a backup must quick flash the system firmware or dump cache and reboot. Either way it was my only fear with this 12 inch screen but it hasn't been an issue and ingot my truck in the beginning of 2019
Your video came up a suggestion since researching a RAM 2500 with the Cummins. Appreciate how you deliver your content and I am now subscribed. Nice work! Cheers from Massachusetts!
@10:20 I drive for a living, currently In a '16 Sierra 2500. I tow fiberglass pools and equipment, between baton rouge and houston. Average weight ranges from 8k-11k lbs. Ive been thinking about trading mine in for a Ford, another GMC or chevy for the last year. Ram wasn't even on my radar. March 23rd this year a chick hit me, I ended up in a rental for over a month. It was a 2019 ram tradesman. My mind was blown. This is the best driving truck I've ever sat in, and that coilover suspension is what makes the difference. I tow 10k lbs daily, never even considered buying a ram, and my next truck will be a ram specifically because of the suspension.
I’ll speak as a 5th gen owner....1st off I LOVE my 19 2500 Laramie, truck runs circles around my dads 18 3500 and when we saw the 5th gen released I told him I was gonna buy one. At the current moment though my truck is at the dealer with a handful of recalls and for its first oil change at 8k miles. Recalls are as follows. 1: Radio electronic components update. (Something to do with the hardware inside) 2: Transmission bracket replacement (apparently fluid could leak and cause a fire) 3: Rear fold down step underneath bumper removal. (Apparently they break and RAM is having it removed for safety reasons until they come up with a better design). I elected to keep mine on as I’ve had no issues. Also not a recall is my heated steering wheel threw a code stating an “open circuit” was occurring and preventing the wheel from heating up regardless of outside temp. As with all new generation vehicles, there will be bugs but regardless I absolutely LOVE this truck, I’d buy one everyday over other major brands. My father in law own his own automotive shop and I consulted him when shopping and he told me if I want to make him a lot of money buy a Ford, if I want to have front end problems buy a Chevy. RAM is the best diesel out there period.
@@xpham973 Have you seen FORD recalls(of course not) cause they ain't any different. All modern vehicles with gadgets have electrical problems that get updated and the bugs get worked out. He bought a 19 RAM which means this was the first year they introduced all this new stuff.
What a great video and the production value is leaps and bounds above other Ram reviews from the cinematography and editing alone. Thanks for your work.
Thanks for the insightful review. I just ordered a 2022 3500 mega cab. My dealer said 12-16 weeks to be built and delivered. (With covid production slow downs) Can't wait to get it though.
Great, informative video on the 2019! So many of the reviewers just repeat the standard bullet points and don't get into actual driving experience. It's literally like they all just copy each other's notes. I love my 2019 2500 Laramie megacab. Pretty much the same truck as the one reviewed but Granite Crystal but on stock wheels/suspension. I don't think I could give up the smooth/quiet ride on stock wheels but that truck does look extremely nice! Weird negative for me, why is there no physical 'Off' button for climate control? And the 'Off' button in the 12" screen is so tiny at the bottom of the screen. Also, just to clarify for people, you do not get the Aisin as standard on a 3500 and both Cummins engines are CGI blocks, not just the high output.
I bought a 19 2500 6.4 with 4:10 after my 99 3500. Not doing a DPF. I love it. Pulls anything I tow. At it's loudest point it is still quieter than my old truck.
That color is sick what color is that ? Love this set up .. I’m researching for summer / fall 2022 . Hoping the last fine tunning comes in the 2022-2023 model
I absolutely love my 2020 Laramie 3500 (Aisin). Here in Canada, prices are more extreme than the USA. Bighorns can be as expensive as $92,000. I'm glad I got the 3500 over the 2500 though. I have a personal hate for the 68rfe, won't touch one with a 10 foot pole. Also have more payload which is great.
Great informative video, however I disagree with your opinion on towing with the 2500. I have put over 150K on a 2014 2500 with significant amounts of towing 15K+ and it handled it like a pro. While i am sure the 3500 would be better but that's expected, its a heavier duty truck. I will 100% agree with you on payload, putting a camper or anything 3K or heavier in the bed will result in a white knuckle drive.
I just bought a 2022 Dodge quad cab 3500 dually, Limited, with a Aisin transmission, 3.73 rear end. Truck really runs good with no bad MPG. Hope it's a good one. At my age, I'll be dead before it's paid off. lol
Ram 4570 while I wish it had more power I’m a big fan of the 6.4 for a big block gas motor . I had the 2014 and drove it hot shotting for 270,000 plus miles when I sold it . Never missed a beat the whole time . I wish I had kept it .
3:43 that right there is the best color combo i've seen in quite some time. i "murdered" out my f150 years ago but now it seems too mainstream. the night edition is a more subtle badass look. love it.
Thuren extended rear track bar made a huge difference in my 2014 2500. Pretty much eliminated that lateral wiggle that you would feel in the passenger seat especially.
I have a 19’ Mega cab that I have had for just about a year now, 24k miles. I have never hit mid 20’s for MPG. The best I ever got once was 20.9.. I get about 18-19 at most on the freeway. Still very happy tho and love my truck! I’d buy it again any day. It’s my 4th and just can’t be beat!
I have a 2019 ram 2500 with over a half million now its been deleted and the transmission just went out but hands down been a great truck getting the trans fixed and going after another half million. All my miles are from towing big campers. So NO u don't need a 3500 because these trucks pull just fine
Only thing I wanted to point out is chevy no longer has an Allison transmission. They make the transmission in house, co-created with Ford. It is now a Allison "branded" transmission, but no longer an Allison.
I own a 2020 Raptor. Every time I see a Ram I do like the interiors but the over all long term quality is questionable. The rest of the truck falls apart around the engine. It would be nice to see quality Ram.
Rams biggest downfalls is not updating the transmissions. It would be nice to see a better option than the 68RE for the auto and as far as the G56 Manual not handling the torque outputs i would say that is relative to how the truck is driven. We have all seen a manual trans truck that has been hoped up beyond what the torque rating is for one of those. Its also the dealerships not wanting to deal with the hassle of a manual transmission on the lot and its easier just to put one in gear and go.
@@XploreAz Ya, it won't be cheap. But a loaded Cummins + Aftermarket rims and tires + Carli suspension parts an't to far off. Then if you want it to be somewhat comparable you would need around 850HP due to the extra +2000LBs these trucks weight over the half tons. Add transmission + turbo and injectors the cummins would cost you more then the TRX.
@@paulj9821 They'll most likely dump the Asin in the 3500. As it makes zero sense to have the same truck with two different transmission and power options. Non of the other manufacturers are doing it, and it just confuses the customer. Next year will most likely be a New ZF 8 speed Powerline transmission, they've been testing in the Ram for over 2 years. But now that GM dropped Allison. Allison is looking for customers for its new 9 speed, and have approached Ram about it. So that might be a possibility as well now.
I just got a 2019 that was leftover ram 1500 classic tradesman regular cab, short wheelbase, rubber floor mats, crank windows, manual door locks. The reason I got it was because it has a 5.7 Hemi and 8 speed transmission. I'm going to go ahead and pay this off while I wish I had a diesel truck.
I disagree with your assessment of the rear coil spring suspension. I have a '14 2500 and I currently pull a 38' 12K lb 5th wheel camper with it. I could not be more pleased with the suspension while towing. I have also pulled a 10K lb travel trailer and also loved the suspension with that. I have filled the entire 8' bed with green oak firewood and hauled it for an hour home. As long as you stay within the limits of the truck it performs very well. When not loaded my '14 drives like a luxury car compared to my old '06 (leaf sprung) 2500.
I was thinking the same thing, I have the 2019 2500 with rear air (Diesel, Megacab). I put a load of 3200-3400 pounds of bricks (pallet) on the back of my truck. Knowing I had to use alt height before carrying this to reduce the risk of a full bag. I was actually impressed, it aired up. Drove really stable, didn't body roll very much. Interesting thing is, that system has an overload sensor on it. That didn't come on, according to the system. But when you factor RAWR and FAWR, you start to realize more and more that the GVWR is based on DOT registration, not capability.
Wrong. Duramax fixed the fuel pump issue by switching brands, also, The L5P Duramax has a lift pump from the factory. NO, I'm not a GM fan boy. I like both. But let's clear up all that misinformation.
Used to drive those stretches of PCH through Malibu all the time...great roads. I'm looking at this as my first diesel truck, planning to have it shipped to AEV to convert to a Prospector XL, and your video has been the most informative and transparent I've seen. Thanks.
Happy to help! Think twice about that AEV setup though. There’s lots of better suspension systems on the market, and you can still combine them with the AEV body styling for an awesome look WITH the function to back it up!
@@JustDiesels I'd be curious to know more - one big thing I like about the AEV setup is that it allows for 40" tires on 3" lift, thanks to the revised fenders. I also like the idea of warranty, which as I understand from my local dealer, purchasing the full build through the dealer means there's only one place to turn to if something goes wrong: them. I've modded a LOT of cars/trucks over the years, working on them myself and having shops do a lot of the work, always piecing together the truck from lots of different sources for parts. At the end of the day, something always breaks, and that's when the finger pointing starts (usually back at the owner, as I've experienced). The simplicity of a very capable kit that has a warranty is really appealing to me. One approach would be to simply go with the AEV kit, use it as much as I can, and if I find it limits what I'd like to do, I can explore another pathway then. Or, I can wait until the warranty expires and then start pulling in other parts.
Still have my 06 5.9 mega cab. I’ve had no issues with it and tow 14k all over the country. It’s easy to work on too. Friends have the 5th gens and have been to dealer multiple times with problems. I’m gonna stick with the 5.9 for little while longer.
I’d have to go with the powerstroke for reliability as an overall package. I love the Cummins though, you can’t replace straight 6 torque, I just don’t trust Chrysler yet 😂. Solid video
Just a quick fyi. The new cp4 is still not good. It has inherent flaws. It caused catastrophic engine failure at 39k miles on my 19 ram. I haul heavy all the time and my combined fuel mpg is around 6.5. Ram is already moving away from the cp4 this year. I just full deleted and put an upgraded lift pump as well as a cp3 conversion on my truck so I hope it runs better. Theyre not all good by no means. I do love the look and the interior and the driving experience tho.
Is ram not warranting the cp4 pump o. The 19 and 20? Or just replacing it with another cp4? We are looking at getting a 5th gen to pull a toy hauler that's going to weight 21k loaded up.
@@emanuelgonzalez2696 I think the new chevys and rams are in the same boat for me it takes specific color combos to make them look good I ironically like the ford body styled trucks even tho they are rectangles with wheels
My 19 averages 17.5 and my high so far was just under 20 cursing unloaded hwy cruise set at 75mph. But I live at 5000' and constantly drive mountain passes so I could see how a person living in the south with no hills could get low 20's, but not mid-20's. I even posted a video about it if you want to check it out.
hell my 02 24v gets 24 mpg with me hogging on it occasionally, and no stupid emissions junk. my buddies 02 duramax gets 28mpg all day with a 4 inch lift and over sized tires. MPG has actually decreased over the years not increased, only engines that have made strides are small engines like vw's 1.6 gasser's and good old Japanese engines.
@P Mason ford's v6 ecoboost engines have been out for 10 years now. They've actually been proving to be reliable long term. There's plenty of them running around with over 300k miles. I know of one at 391k that tows frequently. Original engine. Replaced timing chain around 200k iirc. I used to have a 5.0. I now have a 3.5 ecoboost f150. The ecoboost tows better, has way better low-end torque and better fuel economy than the v8. They can last as long as the v8, but are less tolerant of poor maintenance. Take a look at the rods, pistons, bearings, etc. and you'll see they are built for some serious power. Ford uses the 3.5 ecoboost at 610hp in the Ford GT race car. It doesn't break a sweat at 375hp.
Just how these trucks look sells it for me, hands down the best looking truck on the market. My only issue with these trucks is no manual transmission, but I can't even afford a rusted 2nd gen let alone a $50k+ 5th gen, so I have no room to talk lol
I have a 2001 2500 cummins. I would love to upgrade to a 2020 but I would need to get two more jobs, sell one or two of my kids and have the wife get a second job. The price on the new trucks are ridiculous.
Trucks used to be for the ‘hard working common man’. Now a new diesel will set you back $65K easily. It’s sad
been buying RAM trucks for the past 2 years and what i have noticed is that the best time to buy a RAM truck is from mid October to the end of the year.

The lift and tire combo is absolutely perfect
Can you (author) confirm what life, tire, and wheel combo in this video? TIA

Well done man!

Great review, thanks for pointing out the differences between the 2500 and 3500 for those of us who need a truck for more then rolling coal.
The biggest draw back imo is you can't delete them, at least legally. The def system is absolute pain in the ass. Saving the earth one plastic bottle at the time.
Use inlane DEF and you'll never touch a plastic bottle
you can't legally delete any diesel so whats your point? if you don't have emissions testing in your state its almost unheard of to get busted for deleting
The EPA has totally trashed the diesel market. Which is why I prefer gas. I'm to broke to keep up with the maintenance of a diesel. 😂
I love my 2020 Ram 2500 Cummins.. I was a little nervous going into it hearing all of the horror stories about the 68rfe, but I really like it so far. Very smooth shifting, doesn’t hunt for gears. Tows my boat like it’s not even there. Love it.

By far the nicest truck I've ever owned. I haul on a regular basis about 12000lbs with it and pulls great. Still a huge fan of gm but can't beat the ride and luxury of the ram.
Oh,that sound!. I've always loved the sound of diesel engines.
My ‘19 3500 HO shifts like a manual. I don’t know how else to explain it. Very positive feel, shifts firm and quickly. Mine is spec’d with the Aisin however since I use it primarily for towing equipment. But it drives super nice when driving normal conditions
Also I’ll say, it SO DIFFICULT to stay at posted speed limits. VERY easy to speed without realizing it.
this is not a troll comment ,but if an owner wants to tack in 200 plus HP..with hot tunes the 68rfe will not last...If you mod the motor..mod the transmission..68rfe is a VERY reliable TRansmission..Great video
FACTS. Wish more people understood that.
Great review of the 5th gens, they've really grown on me...I kind of want one now haha.
And I have a 2020 tacoma with issues. At 13k miles. Every manufacturer has issues.
I disagree with the towing part. I tow a 15,000lbs 5th wheel with no problem and the truck does it effortlessly.
I love the 5th Gen
what do you typically haul, and whats the average weight?
@@onym1 nowadays I run a hotshot with the truck. I've already put 155,000 miles on it since I bought it in June of 1020. The most I had behind it was 18,000 lbs. It was heavy but it handled it.

I was a little shocked to hear a 2500 wasn’t good for towing. What is the point of it then?!?
@@darkpill pulls my 13k pound trailer great 🤷🏼♀️
Still driving my 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie. Going strong at 70k miles outside of an actuator failure.
I have the 2019 Ram 3500 Limited Kentucky Derby Edition. Best truck ever.
That's insane! I have a power wagon and love it couldn't imagine having that
@@ggqbcif I wasnt hauling an rv I would have gotten the power wagon too!
That RAM is awesome! Love that color.
Just picked up a new 2021 ram 2500 Diesel. By far the best driving and comfortable truck I’ve ever owned. Power and great mileage to boot.

I bought one. But otherwise yeah. Early manual.cummins in high demand
I haven't heard about that
Kojack yeah the transmissions are creating too much pressure and causing the fluid to come out of the dipstick tube and hit the turbo and igniting. We had two trucks catch on fire because of it. They have a recall out on it. We got rid of all our company Rams and went back to Fords.
Anyone know who makes the transmission?
@@stonereed Ram has solved that issue with the transmission.

My 2020 2019 1500 longhorn has been amazing in terms of electronics. The few hiccups have self resolved in 10 mins at most. Either way it was my only fear with this 12 inch screen but it hasn't been an issue and ingot my truck in the beginning of 2019

I guess buy a RAM if you want electrical problems. It's a really nice truck nonetheless!
@@xpham973 Have you seen FORD recalls(of course not) cause they ain't any different. All modern vehicles with gadgets have electrical problems that get updated and the bugs get worked out. He bought a 19 RAM which means this was the first year they introduced all this new stuff.

At my age, I'll be dead before it's paid off. lol

So NO u don't need a 3500 because these trucks pull just fine
I would love to buy a new dodge single cab diesel work truck. One day👍🏽
Only thing I wanted to point out is chevy no longer has an Allison transmission.
Dodge trucks will always last longer then a Ford there is way more high mileage dodges then ford's
Was going to wait till they updated the trans. But that Rebel TRX + Hellcat looks tempting as hell.
redbaron242 go for it if you have $100k+.
For the 3500 or the 1500-2500 trans?

I love this truck... from the paint color to the choice of wheels.. just stunning 😍

I thought these were ugly and looked plasticky, but this one actually looks good and sounds good
This truck and the color matched truck at my local dealership are the 2 best looking trucks i have seen.
Nunya Business if you think RAMs are ugly i can’t imagine what you think about the chevys or fords
@@emanuelgonzalez2696 I think the new chevys and rams are in the same boat for me it takes specific color combos to make them look good I ironically like the ford body styled trucks even tho they are rectangles with wheels
Thanks, was thinking about a new Ram/Cummins, and bought a '95 12V to get me by- will wait as well thanks for the data.
Mid 20s mpg😂😂😂😂 I have the same truck and have never gotten over 16.5mpg, hand calculated.
Better drive with a lighter foot then! Haha
@@JustDiesels This I get around 16 but know its because I have a heavy foot and 35s. When I was on stock wheels, and I babied it 20 was easy to pull
