Hi, did the cement cause the pH to rise after the curing period? I've heard some claim that it continues to elevate pH for a lot longer afterwards

Yes, it keeps on increasing the PH slighltly, I found allowing it to bake in the sun for at least a week as part as the curing process before the surbmerging process and partial water changes will definitely help minimizing the PH increase
