Holy shit shut the fuck up. He's got a point. Too many people ruin an engine swap video with music over the real "music" coming from the engine.
What's the name of the song
For everyone constantly stating it's not an ls3, the block was a core that came out of a g8. He didn't get the heads included with the block when he received it. He already had the 243s so that's what he decided to put on. I believe he is switching to ls3 heads and a truck intake soon. If you disagree with what he did, to each their own. His truck is his daily and he was super excited to put his new motor in, so he did what he could at that time.

I'm almost done saving for my swap and was trying to make myself happy with a 383 stroker for my 1997 Z71 because it's a super easy 1-day swap but after seeing 👀 how fockin ridiculously forking fast yo Chevy is with a 6.2LS/exhaust/intake/tune, I think I will just have to save an extra $2k for one instead. DAMMIT!
And you get amazing MPG & reliability for something that strong too....

I have a 6.2 supercharged on 11psi running through a 4l65e , if going with 4l60 I recommend a shift kit, rabestos zpak 3-4 and a trans cooler 👍🏼
I did put a raybestos z pak , and a sonnax pinless kit
Youd need more than that lol. Upgraded shell, and upgraded servo would help too. And maybe go with 5 pinion planetary if its not in there already. And obviously ditch the stock converter for triple disc lockup converter

Hello, I currently have a 2003 Silverado with an 8.1 in it and I’m looking to put a 6.2 ls3 in there, was there any problems you guys ran into doing this swap? I would be getting a full ecu and everything I just wanted to make sure as far as mounts and everything it all fits in. Also looking for what issues were ran into with wiring, will I have to get a whole new fuse block or was everything mostly plug and play.
What kind of tune did you use? Were you able to keep the abs and engine light out? Just bought a truck with the same swap and I'm having using with the abs

I run a heavily modified all motor 4.8 with 799 heads port polished, titanium valves, BTR stage 3 cam, forged crank, 44lb injectors, 102mm intake manifold. With a super rich tune. I'm running 3600 lockup verter, 2 step installed because I'm stealing my procharger that's on my 5.3ls swapped 62 4 door dodge dart. All I'm getting at without going scientific specs (let my nuts drag bullshit) my little stock single can Short box was running 11.50s on a set of wide proxies that were dry cracked. Truck dynoed 511 HP at the wheels at 7300rpm. Like I beat the fuck out of this truck. I finished the engine and trans 6 months ago and I've logged 25,000 km with no tune change even with the weather change. Valve train still tight, timing chain immaculate still. I swear it's like driving a 2 stroke dirt bike. The truck loves high R's. It can sit on 6500-7000rpm all day. I upgraded rad with flex lite fans. Hi pressure oil pump and an after market water pump that increases the flow by 30%. I have 4500 dollars cdn in parts for engine and the 4le60. I did the work and levonoise motorsports dialed the truck in. My intake is obviously far to big for 4.8 aswell the 44lb jectors. But doing these extreme measures it helped me break the 500 mark with no power adders on a 4.8. 294s are little monsters. Light weight, high rpm screamers, big power band range

nice build! my STOCK 4L60E held up for 2 years and 3 months after swapping in the 6.0, it did see its fair shares of mexico runs, currently installing a performabuilt level 2 with circle D stall. hope it holds lol
That's awesome. I was thinking about going performabuilt on mine but I actually got super lucky and found a 80e at a junk yard. Walked out the door with it for 150$ Plan on having it built and in my upcoming video you'll see why lol

LS3 has the 58x reluctor wheel. That works with the stock drive by cable P01 computer?

at lest there 243s
IMO cathedral port heads on 4.065" bore are better than rectangular port heads on a 4" bore unless you just some of the medium port style. I just think too much of the valve is shrouded on a 4" bore. We did a LS2 with GMPP LS3 heads that was down on power compared to the same heads on a 376 with the same cam heads intake headers and everything even down a half a point of comparison. The LS2 broke a rod and took out the block itself. So s LSX376-B8 went in NA with less compression than the LS2 and it made I'd say 30-50 more HP with identical top end. The LS2 was 10.9 with forged rods and pistons. The LSX376 has stock LS3 parts. Thecompression was 9.4-9.8 with pants for aggressive LSA. We both figured down CR, a 364ci cam in a 376, going from forged to cast 376 would rob power. Only explanation was the larger bore unshrouding the valves on the 4.065" versus a 4". Would like to try a destroked 4.070" 4.125" bore with short stroke flat plane crank really good internals and excellent heads ultrastable valve train for 9500 or so NA centrifugal or TT. Around 5.2-5.6 liters in S10 Colorado RX7 FRC SLC Daytons GT40 kit or something light with a manual and 4.56 or 4.88 gears and if centrifugal a wastegate on the charge is it can be pullied way down but instead off the boost at redline bleed it sooner so target boost it sooner and controlled by gear. Like one of my many dream builds. Hell even direct drove off the crank to say 37-380si with the wastegate bleeding at 15-18.in 1st and 2nd 3rd 25 or so then 4th 5th and 6th 30-35psi
