When it becomes available in the Netherlands I'm gonna order it! Can't wait. Maybe they should have called this show ''Strike FROM the back'' 😉🤣🤣🤣
This show is great, honestly. It gets better and more insane with every season. It's 100% a guilty pleasure with lots of gun fights, hand to hand fight scenes and tons of sex. It's Spartacus set in modern times, and basically expressly designed as for dudes to vicariously live out the ultimate male fantasy, The CAG dude fucks a LOT of hot chicks. He's basically James Bond if it wasn't PG-13
This is a great concept, will check it out. Cheers. If it is as good as it looks, will recommend it to a few from the battalion. S/F
Preordered on Audible, as I am a Marine vet, reading is hard. Crayons good.
When translated in Romanian language.
Strike Back is a great show! Well...the first 3 or 4 seasons are. The last couple of seasons are pozzed out. But, the first few seasons are awesome.
Agreed. It went to complete shit when Scott and Stonbridge left.
I never liked the changing casting it was always the same formula.
I’ve always thought Rhona was hot ever since invisible man, but the whole storyline of the guys starting the international terrorist union was so poorly done IMO.
Yeah the first few episodes was bad then it got better with time. Seasons 2-4 was when it was at it's best IMPO. Totally agree with @Chubb_T0511 that the show went to complete shit when Scott and Stonebridge left.
@@Chubby_T0511 Except from when they made a cameo in the next series. I cheered for that reveal.
"There was a woman in the stack..." had me dead
“What’s wrong with that?!”
As a woman, this made me laugh 😂
The later episodes with Scott and Stonebridge is awesome!!! Give the show a chance guys!!!
It’s been awhile since I watched it but Scott was recruited for two very specific reasons. John Porter (guy in the video) and Scott had worked extensively, developing the code Porter used with only three people having working knowledge of it. The other is the villain worked with them back in the day but only they had any idea of what he looked like, so, he’d wound but being key to it.
I know you probably know this, but I watched this show way too many times to not share. Also, John Porter has his own season, which was effectively the very first season of the whole strike back series. It had Andrew Lincoln as the CO and was pretty good. I recommend it purely for a single scene in the first episode where Porter has to get creative with weapon concealment, which always makes me chuckle.
Glad they finally got round to doing this show. I hope they watch more of it especially with the bigger gunfights that come later on. Also from what i understand from interviews i have watched (including with US guys who worked with the SAS and SBS) they used to run lights instead of night vision especially in the 90s and early 2000s, given that the advisors are ex UKSF guys that might be why they did that in the show.
My favourite series of all time! Loved the Brit original with Armitage and Lincoln, and really loved the four seasons with Stapleton and Winchester!
Great show. The first episode or two is the typical awkward development of characters. As it goes along the two leads do pair well as characters, supporting characters are overall great. Tactics and weapons handling are good for the time it was filmed, mid to late 2000s.
2010 and on. Yes, less time has passed than what you thought 🤣.
Lol the soft corn scenes are always awkward. End up just looking at ur phone or something haha
its the worst... Game of Thrones was terrible lol but great show
Buck said "that's the front of her back"!! That one choked me! 😂
The prequel series to this show is normally listed as Strike Back Origins. It is a pre-Cinemax Sky only production featuring Richard Armitage (the guy being executed in the beginning.) He was the main character in the first season, and before a second season was discussed, he was already working on the Hobbit films. He only appears in the first episode for continuity to the Sky-only series.
Keep watching guys, there are some great gun battles in later episodes, and less games of hide the sausage.
Agreed!
Well this show was co-produced by Cinemax which explains a lot. It gets a lot better in season 2 when they reboot the whole thing with a new cast. And the CAG guy is played by an Australian actor which was surprising but he does a good job
The funniest thing is they have the half- American guy using an English accent and the Australian guy trying to be American
I have been waiting forever. This is my favorite tv show of ALL TIME. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Now, time to watch!!
This proves what I already learned by growing up with my daddy, a vet: that being tactically unrealistic doesn’t necessarily ruin the show. Unless you watch it with a vet. 😂
The Strike back show from season 1 to 5 was dope with Scott and Stonebridge 🔥🔥🔥
It is an awesome show. Thank you for reviewing it.
"Boy banging..Alley fighting..." 😅😂😂
Oh, you guys took my request about Strike back!!!!!! Much love to you guys!!!
you bet!
There was a series around the same time as stike back called ultimate force which was basically an SAS drama think a couple of episodes are on youtube
ill check it out
Thank y’all for taking my recommendation!
Love the videos😂 Happy Sunday!
Bruh! Thank you for reviewing this show. This is one of my favorite British shows. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
While I love the Seal Team watch videos... and I'd love to see you just do every single episode... I also know that would get boring. However, I would like to see you guys do like an episode or 2 from each season as the show progresses and tackles new problems with PTSD/PTSS, TBI, CTE, and the struggles we dealt with in terms of our bodies, our families, relationships, etc.
So glad you guys got to this!
Abel explaining that scene sounded like my Dad explaining something like that when I was 11 😅
You guys kill me! I'm dying here! 😂
I loved this show...But I have zero experience with anything military and yet would say to myself at times..."Oh hell no...they don't it like that!" But it absolutely was a fun show to watch! Love what you guys do!
The Beast (2020, Italy) is a "war veteran has daughter kidnapped movie", and is pretty solid.
And on the crime movies one where the criminals use some military tactics, there's The Crew (2015, France), which has as basically a tv series sequel (same lead guy, same premise) Ganglands (2021-, France).
But, you know, turn the subtitles on guys.
I loved Abel’s face during the first rigorous scene, his face lit up 🤣🤣🤣
Finally someone reviewing this show. I’m so happy
Finally y’all do this show after a long time
When Buck said. Ya, this is the good sence 👀. That killed lol. 🤣😂🤣😂
I think Strike Season 2 and later was a Showtime production.
Season 1 was with Richard Armitage, the guy who was killed.
Great show, never finished it, got half way through season 3 and got busy.
love this show but expecting sean to give it a complete roasting at every level of plausibility
In it's defence, the show does get progressively better over time
I loved this show, I know it was the best realism as a whole but it was well written and fun to watch up until the last couple seasons. Plus the intro song was awesome. I can't wait to hear Sean tear this show to shreds.
The heavy - short change hero
This was a Friday night Skin-A-Max action show which is the reason for at least 1 sex scene per episode. Funny it's that the American actor posed as a Brit & the Australian actor posed as an American. Great show though.
I would of liked to see your opinion on the first season, when John Porter was introduced. And after the scene where he's decoding the message, he explains that it's a code him and Porter made together when they worked together.
Oh wow. I loved this show!❤
you guys should watch more of Strike Back, the relationship between Damian and Michael is an interesting dynamic given the differences between them
If my Reptilian Brain recalls correctly, the Delta Force vet had been railroaded out of the Army and hence he was in Thailand trying to survive. The SBS guy was ordered to find him because he and John Porter had been involved in a mission with British Special Operations forces-something like that-and since Porter had been KIA, the American had some pieces of intel that the British needed. The Commander sent the SBS guy to find him and bring him in.
Then theres a woman in the stack got me sorry 👍🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm quite glad they start on "Season 2" as the show basically has eras. Season 2-5 was a reboot of season 1 and shares almost no resemblance to it beyond a few references to Porter throughout and a very short scene at the start. Then season 6 reboots it again with a new team. Most people regard Scott and Stonebridge as proper Strike Back. It was always quite silly but it was a weird blend of being 50/50 silly and probably the most accurate SF portrayal on tv at the time but it was inconsistent and would slide between the two... It would be utter realism then quackery, then back to realism, then gooftastical.
I recommended this show. Not for anything else but the banter.
glad you did!
Please keep on watching and reviewing
Tha k God I've been recommending this show to you guys for a hot minute I love this show
"I JUST WROTE A BOOK.." 🤣 Love the transition...
You guys should do a Beers and Breakdown for The Thin Red Line, also Windtalkers! Love these videos!
Buck! Keep up the good work! You guys should review La Femme Nikita from 1997. I'm a civilian but I see some stuff that's very not correct lol. But one character uses a Mark 23 which is cool
Great show. Did you ever watch Who Dares Wins, from 1980 i think, a british film about the iranian embassy hostage rescue by the sas?
Never got down to watching this series. I will now haha
I think some of the later series was filmed near my house. One of my neighbors did the pyro work for an episode or 2.
Do more of this show!
Hey Buck , love your show. Have you reviewed Hamburger Hill yet?
i dont think so, added to the list!
Sean, I appreciate you causing me to spit coffee on my monitor with the "railing lady boy" comments. Thank's brother.......
It was originally on Cinemax during the SKINimax era. I think there was another season before in the UK, but most streaming services count the first season from Cinemax as Season 1.
Lol keep doing strike back episodes because its a good show and abel loves it! 😂
Oh sh!t better broken is finally out?! Lets goooooo!!!
appreciate the support!
Season 1 of Strike Back could be better. When it gets to seasons two up to four, it is pretty good for action and just a good action show with many tactics in it. These two guys made this series really good; it is a shame that they moved on and added more people, making it ridiculous afterwards.
What made this show good was the comradery and banter between the 2 lead actors.
we dig it so far
SAS: Rouge worriors was a very fun show. Really cool WWII show, crazy story of the SAS formation
One of the favourite shows of all time 🙌🏿👏🏿
This is season 2. The first season is with the guy captured at the beginning, the same one swearing in the video...😁😁😁
19:24 whats the right way to hold them in that situation though? Like real 2am thoughts here, whats the best way to fight through that?
Behind Enemy Lines, Hacksaw Ridge, and '71
My favourite moment of the series (don't remember wich season) was when they showed how life in the baracks is: The squaddies (soldiers) wearing fake DPM-Uniforms (you could see from far away that they had some cinese low cost crap. I guess the surplus stuff was to expensive) and the female model-chick-squaddies doing PT .
This is damn great brilliant show you are going to love the shit out of it trust me, this show represents soldier's beautifully, enjoy my friend's!
This was awesome, former Army Ranger, US Border Patrol Agent and retired as a Federal Air Marshal..Love this review I really like Strike Back and agree the porn(y) stuff is out of place and takes away from a good action show...Keep up the good work..RLTW Sua Sponte
lol you should do a whole episode of you guys muted and that music in the background 9:09 🤣
Finally they watched and reviewed my show
STRIKEBACK is AWESOME! One of my favorite shows ever!
Cant wait for this got my black coffee ready
I love this show!
I still want to see you guys do some older movies, namely The Wild Geese, Dogs of War, and The Final Option. The show was on Showtime, so that explains the sex scenes, as a lot of their shows had a lot of nudity and sex. IIRC it was primarily filmed in South Africa. As a side note the actor playing the Brit is an American, and the Ex CAG guy is an Aussie actor.
added to the list thank you!
Continuuuuue!!!!
It's a fictitious intelligence unit called Section 20. Its members come mostly from British Military. It's later stated that Stonebridge comes from SBS.
@FNGACADEMY I really enjoy your show. I watch it every week. A show I would love to see your reaction on is SWAT. Not the movie, but the current series.
Have you guys done that Echo 3 show about those delta guys that rescue their sister?
Ronin (1998)
I would like to see you guys do Heartbreak ridge with Clint Eastwood. I’d love to see you guys breakdown gunny highway.
check out 6 Days. its the story of the SAS Iranian Embassasy rescue.
Strike back would be a good one to continue with. I really enjoyed it.
You should watch "the Brave", good show!
will do
Finally! Watch some of the later episodes and seasons for some great action sequences.
nice! looking forward to it
SWEET!!!
My wife and I were addicted to Strike Back (back when there about 5 shows on TV) and she liked to call it "Fucking and Fighting". I need to catch up because I know there's some seasons I haven't seen yet. I remember when Stonebridge took a 7.62 round to the kneecap and was back in the next episode. In any other universe, that would be a career-ender. It's not the most realistic but still enjoyable.
They need to watch more outside of first episode, as it gets a lot better.
Curious what you think about the movie “6 Days”, the one about the Iranian Embassy Siege!
Next do 6 days (2017) love the show. Cheers 🍻 👍.
19:28 That kid is basically a level 3A soft body armour
Strike back was a great show scot and stonebridge were a great on screen duo. The first season was based of a book but not sure if it took from real life events.(spoiler!)
Also scot was kicked out of delta for being framed I think
I've got it on my Amazon account
do you plan to review Enemy at the Gates?
I watched this years ago. Finished it. Man they survive some wild shit lol. But I remember there being some plot twist for why they chose him like halfway thru the series.
Oh my god I rewound when I saw his face after saying “and there a woman in the stack” lol
I learn so much from these breakdowns.
But why are you suprised the SF guy chasing howrs and drinking is using a kid as a human shield while clearing rooms?
Also i liked when but said "SAS is another CAG" i think he meant to say CAG is another SAS
You guys should check out Rogue Heroes!! About the founding members of the SAS
I’d recommend you to continue watching because it does get more realistic later in the show, so yeah
I think I requested this like a year and a half ago😂
