I guess I just liked the actress (Laysla) :D And I didn't think the movie was about military tactics, but mostly about the agent's inner struggle with completing her assignment. When I watch movies like this I don't focus on all aspects of the movie, I just ignore what's stupid and try to view it from the character's point of view. What I would like to know if it was possible for an agent to feel so disillusioned and with no sense of accomplishment after completing her mission, because she had to kill someone (after understanding what he had done and the importance of the mission). Like what is the mindset of a soldier who looses faith in the rationale for the operations they are conducting and how they deal with it internally. I don't think I've ever seen something like this in a movie. Not even a small satisfaction for pulling off something difficult and barely escaping with her life. In many movies it's a mixture of satisfaction and regret (for betraying her friend). I don't expect many movies about covert agents to be realistic. The movies that I'm finding hard to enjoy now are action movies with many fights (unelss it's like John Wick level), because I'm starting to understand how unrealistic most stuff is. First night in the army, there was a guy there built like an olympic gymnast. He started bitching, immediately, knocked out 200 perfect push-ups in 60 seconds, in the middle of the bay, and then quit the army.
Not to mention that he was a marine drill instructor the first thing they tell you is the "first word out of your mouth is sir and the last word out of your mouth is sir" I was army and we refer to them as drill sergeants. Try calling an DS /DI sergeant in basic for both army and marines. Forget that all branches.
I'd really like to hear your thoughts on Echo 3. I work for Dale Dye, the Military Adviser for Platoon and Spielberg's and Hanks' shows and films. Anyway, as a Veteran (Combat Medic) I do a show called Millitary Monday, and was going to cover Echo 3, but after watching it, I had so many issues with the writing and the military tactics in it, I gave up. I sometimes wonder if I was wrong in my assessment and would love to hear your thoughts on the show.
Just found your channel the other day have been blazing through the reactions loving it! Was wondering if at some point there is gonna be a Punisher series reaction or the Doom movie reaction since the actors went through some actual tactics training from what I remember. Would love to see those :)

i don't hate the show but also don't like it. you can literally skip 80% of each episode and just watch the parts with zoe saldana and nicole kidman and it's actually decent. the rest of the show is 100% agenda driven whether by the director or the studio.
You guys ever seen a British show called 'SAS Who Dares Wins'? Its a reality based show where civilians and celebrity's go through SF selection ran by EX soldiers, SAS, SBS, Seals, Marine Recon. There is now an US version into its second season called Special Forces Toughest Test (same show as UK just a name change for US) Its on Fox in the US, channel 4 in the UK. Interesting to get your views and reactions on it.
Wait, I thought the main story happened many years after her basic training. She was at MARSOC or something. So she is not from basic training to tier 1. And she is not tier 1 I guess, she is more like an enabler to a OGA unit. Truth to be told, they want to write a story of Enhanced CST.

Sooooo, everyone's going to just scream by the 99 PT score? Had to Google the Marines PT test and it said it goes up to 300 like in the Army. 🤔 It's pretty amazing how people can watch the same show and see different things. The Marine recruiter was simply offering her a way out of the life she was currently in. That's how I saw it.
I hope Sean finds time to actually finish The Terminal List as the rest of the episodes show why the 1st episode seemed off and why he was acting so strange
Marines do not have Drill Sgt's. They have Drill Instructors. Never ever call a Marine Drill instructor a Drill Sgt. It is worse than calling a Marine a soldier.
I actually liked the show. Probably because i was able to set my gender bias to the side. The "agenda" is to show that women can also do what men do, if afforded the opportunity. This show is offensive to people that abide by the social con-struct (of gender roles) they were assigned by people within their culture.
The militairy had allready lowered their standards and there still is no all female squad of anything in any branch, so the reality is that woman are not capable of doing the same as men in this profesion.
I'll just watch Guardians of the Galaxy. You guy's ever watch the show The Boyz? There's a scene where Homelander assists a unit of special ops soliders to take down terrorists in the most Homelander way. It's awesome!
Wasn't she supposed to be a Force Recon Marine or MARSOC. I think the Delta Capt. Said something during her recruitment. I was wondering why she was training with the CAG as a Marine. Kinda made no sense. I'm happy I'm no the only one who see the agenda in these shows.
there' definitely a feel-bad-about-the-Military agenda. But the review got a lot of stuff wrong. Like, I want to defend the real military vs the fictional portrayed but the real military guys doing the review embellished so much that I can't really defend them. If that makes sense... it's just all bad all around now. "Attention to detail" ...yeah, right! pls. it's a joke. The attention to detail is crap. You can say a movie is bad without needing to make sound like everyone who works in fast food, is the same as prostitution. And the US military is a joke and all your people are terrified of the potential local pimps. That's just really sad, man. They basically just added unnecessary bad made up stuff to the plot. Why couldn't we just stick to the actual plot line and had to make up stuff? I don't know.
This is the one criticism that is wrong. CAG recruits from every branch. There have absolutely been Marine Force Recon and MARSOC guys in CAG. One of the CAG guys at Benghazi was a Marine. If you can make it through selection, they want you. There are a couple pretty great interviews with Marines who have been CAG operators. Here's a clip of retired CAG operator Todd Opalski, a Marine CAG operator, talking about how it happens. ua-cam.com/video/xOyXb_5kPok/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DavidHookstead
@@sgxxbruce9878 while this is true lets be clear that this happens once every 5 years or so, CAG is full of Rangers and from then on a few other personnel from other branches that get selected IE AF 22nd STS, DEVGRU, none special operations personnel from the conventional Army force and Marine force recon from time to time. Most also think that SF goes to delta but they don't they usually move over ISA and do the field work there for intelligence gathering.
I don't know how much you watched of this, but I'm a bit disappointed as there are several more military scenes later in the show that I would have really liked to hear your take on (even negative) - when they rescue a prisoner and do a terrorist house takedown inside the US, the interrogation training she goes through, and the final episode where they go after the main bad guy. There is a lot of cringe and family time that really slows the show down - depends what you are watching for I guess. Maybe I am mis-remembering it but my understanding was that they had an opportunity to go after a major bad guy and no one that had the right look/background so they had to grab a woman out of basic and train her up (I see more training later in the show). Probably crazy and not real but I accepted this is why she was moved so fast into it.
I agree Columbiana was better than i thought it was gonna be. Very few women stars can pull off action roles but she did a good job. As for this show haven’t watched it yet
Hey Buck I just wanted to let you know that I saw you on a crimson trace commercial on the sportsman channel the other day and I thought that was pretty cool.
Adrian from Rocky franchise is easily the most strongest female character i ever saw on the screen. Viewer will never see her fighting, pick guns or whatever - but she gives so much to Rocky as a character and her loss is soooo huge in Rocky Balboa/Creed. Or when Linda Hamilton played Sarah in the second Terminator, she looked like a really strong female - but because she experienced so much terrible things before that made her stronger. She needs to be strong for her son as well. This crap is just frustrating to watch to be honest. Scott Adkins would be awesome for this kind of role for sure.
A 99 on the army physical fitness test sucks a 300 is great. Also, in Marine Corps Boot Camp drill, instructors are referred to as sir not drill. Sergeant.
Marines do call their DIs sir/ma'am. When they graduate, they start addressing people properly. But they contradict each other in the show. She's also a Mary Sue. She's too perfect and is a natural at everything. There's no struggle, no character development, or growth.
I think Sean needs to think more about his intros. He always says first that the movie is "awesome" or "badass" or "dope" and then within like a minute he's talking about how bad it is lol.
On point summary of this tv show. Maybe I shouldn't comment on it because I've just seen trailer of it and that was enough for me, even from my brief careeer in Polish military not to have probably cringy feel while watching this "gem". But I have question for you guys, have you seen tv show Strike Back based on Chris Ryan books? Especialy from season 2 where cast have change and there were 2 main characters. I ask because from all "military" films and tv shows this one of few that I can respect of what i'm seeing. Beside whole cast was traind by SAS and SBS instructors and you can see it when they do cqb. This is statement by one of main actors: Winchester recalled his training experience, "[Sullivan Stapleton] and I would meet every morning at 6am. We would run to a chosen location and on the way we had to memorise street names and directions and then our trainers would say 'that car that you just passed what was the licence plate number?' Our trainers were ex-SAS guys who made us study everything in detail, for example, we learnt step by step how to enter a room in twos, then alone. At the same time, we had to be constantly aware of where our weapon was trained."
As a civilian I enjoyed the show, I guess that's because I don't know shit about shit out there in the military, so I can see why knowing all about it would hinder your impression on it. I do think they could put more effort into making things accurate, and not just pushing shit to push it, but like I said, personally I enjoyed it
Odd because Tulsa King is like the opposite. But dude has a billion shows out, no way he’s actually spending any time on them individually. Just basically the new Dick Wolf.
if that was in fact recruit training she would definitely be calling the Drill Instructor 'Sir' no matter if he was an officer or Enlisted the only exception would be if the Drill was a female then it would be yes Ma'am, plus that was the nicest Drill Instructor, you only talk when told to unless times have changed so i could be wrong but that was the way it was when i went through Recruit Training
I'll say this much. Buck forgets what big army was like. Ppl will jack you off if you're a PT stud in big army. Ppl in big army care WAAAAY too much if you're a pt stud vs if you're a good leader 😅.

Wow......i remember a couple weeks ago this being suggested and people telling me how bad it was, but really? How can a show be this wrong?
Easy. Put a chick in it and make her gay and lame.
they dont care about being right... just make money and push an agenda
@@FNGACADEMY Exactly, the bandwagons the best way to make money nowadays.
But as much as you hate it, we love watching tear it apart lmfao.
Knew it was gunna be shit as soon as I seen special ops in the title haha
Same here, but it was "lioness" that was the real red flag
She wasnt in basic training at tht time in movie it was a selection program or something and she wasnt the guy proso she was gf. Did you guys even pay attention and watch it all the way through before commenting
I have a theory that able is taking all this time spent with all the sf guys and gaining all these experiences to become a real life John wick.
interesting...
Can you guys do the Foreigner with Jackie chan. He plays such a different character in that movie then your used to. You guys are bad ass keep up the good work!
The "you're cool man" is such a diss from a drunk guy lol. I have been on the receiving end of those before lol.
The worst part is this show is being called the best action show of 2024
First night in the army, there was a guy there built like an olympic gymnast. He started bitching, immediately, knocked out 200 perfect push-ups in 60 seconds, in the middle of the bay, and then quit the army.
"It's the same fucking line!"
Nailed it.
I'm mad because they didn't put all 6 years of Spec Ops training in a 45min episode. lmao
Thanks my guys for the heads up, I was actually wondering if it was any good or worth the time.
Can y’all do Six Days next pls?
That would be a nice one!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Nicole's enhancement jaw line? :P Like, someone went: "which chin profile would you like?" and she went: "Thanos"... and they went: "Yes".
No one stopped her! loool! why?! ...that is a real mystery, that is.
i don't hate the show but also don't like it. you can literally skip 80% of each episode and just watch the parts with zoe saldana and nicole kidman and it's actually decent. the rest of the show is 100% agenda driven whether by the director or the studio.
Yep….All the family/daughter shit is PAINFUL!!!!
@@BadNewsYouNeedToKnowbecause it’s not for men Lmfao….
This show is obviously made for women. I love it.
There's SAS: Australia as well. And SAS: Celebrity as well.
Your ability to run and cower was so impressive, you're clearly black ops material.
I can't wait for them to watch season 2😂😂
Marines arent soldiers. Drill instructors not drill sgts. And in boot camp, drill instructors are “sir’s” until after the crucible (except in OCS).
You people too serious, Taylor Sheridan must be laughing at you by now 😂
Wait, I thought the main story happened many years after her basic training. She was at MARSOC or something. So she is not from basic training to tier 1. And she is not tier 1 I guess, she is more like an enabler to a OGA unit.
Truth to be told, they want to write a story of Enhanced CST.
it did, i guess they didnt understand that part
Buck usually misses a lot of details lmao. Not the first time.
It's very fucking clear that she did shit before going to CIA. No matter how unlikely that may be.
I really enjoyed this show
maybe it gets better.. episode one was unbearable
@@FNGACADEMY I can see how you guys would dislike it from a tac stand point (and the female optics) ... But as it moves along I think as pure entertainment it gets better. (The way you clowned the recruitment center was funny)
How did the SEAL consultants not revolt during filming? 😂 you guys should do a partnership with Andy Stumpf on breaking down silly movies and shows.
1. That scene was more riduculous because it was a pre-boot test, not actual Basic. 2. He's a Marine DI, they do get called sir.
Q: What do you call a the guy who graduates last in class?
A: Doctor
Same in Spec Ops. The U.S. Military Thanks you for Countering Recruitment Propaganda. Fkn American Genius.
This is the barfly that shoulda never left the barstool. Tab ran out. Now on YT. Next time try it Sober.
Edible arrangements killed me too. But he's right....edible arrangements, I for one love me some chocolate :)
Fob shank 2013- 2024,i was there OEF 23 was mortar city Hero's DFAC was a scary place to be at middle of the day. The VBIED thru are decribing really happened. I worked at badging office near the ECP.
Guys the marine is a three year recon vet with two deployments to afghanistan by the time the fob is getting attacked
Yes, I have waited for this since forever 😂
Please do the rest of the series 😂 or at least the episode where they clear the house.
Happy Thanksgiving guys.
Marines do not have Drill Sgt's. They have Drill Instructors. Never ever call a Marine Drill instructor a Drill Sgt. It is worse than calling a Marine a soldier.
This is the one time I agree with buck
It's awesome!
that show is bad ass!
When he came flying in just as loud as you can be and the soldiers were like please be quiet. He was like "Oh yeah sorry."
I knew a Russian chick that worked with CAG as an interpreter, she spoke 7 languages and was MFF and combat diver certified.
Marine do attend and pass CAG selection. And CAG do joint training or has some combat support personnel from other units from time to time.
Probably crazy and not real but I accepted this is why she was moved so fast into it.
she went from civilian to special operator in 1 episode by skipping thru 18 months of Special High Intensity Training
I knew after watching this exactly what your take on this show would be 😂😂 I got so much attention because Taylor Sheridan wrote it
17:21 What is the explanation for them eating in the dark?
Sergeant.
You guys need to breakdown Jack Ryan series or the reacher series!!!
All the cast got trained by navy seals
I was in Bagram when the Shank attack happened I think
It's a solid show if you can stomach ep. 1 lol
Hey, was wondering if y’all could make a quick tutorial on the ruck trainer and how to apply the additions such as the back panel?
Could y’all do a review of heartbreak ridge?
sure can
What would be the point of an all female squad? Serious question
there isnt one... female team members sure but all female squad.. cant imagine why
They are CIA not military special ops. don't know if that matters or not. I think she was a recon marine when she was recruited.
It’s just a TV show, it’s not that serious, just take it for what it is.
Never really seen this show. Never wanted to really.
me either... even the title screamed cringe
@@FNGACADEMY I wish I would have known getting a good physical score would rocket me into super special forces lioness branch.
Damn I actually love this show 😂❤
Marines boot camp is sir/ma'am, (answer), sir/ma'am exp. sir, yes sir... When did that stop?
Slurring speech like a boss lol
Marines do call their DIs sir/ma'am. When they graduate, they start addressing people properly. But they contradict each other in the show.
She's also a Mary Sue. She's too perfect and is a natural at everything. There's no struggle, no character development, or growth.
I think Sean needs to think more about his intros. He always says first that the movie is "awesome" or "badass" or "dope" and then within like a minute he's talking about how bad it is lol.
Review The Way of the Gun. I wanna see what you guys think about it
On point summary of this tv show.
This is statement by one of main actors:
Winchester recalled his training experience, "[Sullivan Stapleton] and I would meet every morning at 6am.
You know them chocolate pineapples got sent😂😂😂
As a civilian I enjoyed the show, I guess that's because I don't know shit about shit out there in the military, so I can see why knowing all about it would hinder your impression on it. I do think they could put more effort into making things accurate, and not just pushing shit to push it, but like I said, personally I enjoyed it
Taylor Sheridan tryna do “an agenda” is a hilarious take lol
I watch this specifically because I can just turn off my brain
