SilenceGlaiveMaster For real there are fan made ones that are better quality and a better tune. NEVER buy the ones from Bandai! There are better fan made ones on EBay.
Mmmm the music doesn't sound as good... I don't understand why it's so quick and skippy :( but the Gold one looks quite nice anyway, glad I got it since I don't have the 90s one
+captFIZZ It's because it's a wind-up music player. As the tension winds down the music slows, so if it were the correct tempo t full wind it would be way too slow as it went on.
+inlovewithJLT I know, I have it myself but it does sound like it skips a lot which shouldn't really happen even if it's a wind up music player.

Same here! The star locket was one of my top items to own but the pink one was definitely the one I believed I would never own because of how high it went for online. I'm so glad Bandai released both versions and they look even better than the older ones. I can't wait to see what they'll do for the proplica version ^_^

I received mine a week ago and both play nicely and smoothly, no skips, clicks or tinks. Maybe it's in the video recording when it plays it's picking up the weird sounds? I notice the tick sounds in another girls video that reviewed her lockets and I freaked out that mine would sound like that, thank goodness that wasn't the case! The other girl reviewer (she bought like 155 of these lockets, forgot her name) also posted comparison with the original made in Japan '90s locket(not korean/china version).

Love your videos! The new locket is definitely gorgeous, but I don't like how fast it plays. It sorta sounds like it's skipping sometimes too. And I agree with you about the pink locket. Never got why they have the body pink, but the lid gold. To me it makes it look cheaper.
Found the Bandai Asia 1995 one for $88. I paid as much as I had for the Moonlight Memories one, which was $85. It feels like a dream to finally have the original. XD Super super happy. Was a nightmare because they had misdelivered the 90s locket to a different address, luckily the apartment it had gone to was vacant and there it was in the hallway. There was a vintage sailor moon star locket in the middle of the hall the whole night and nobody picked it up. X'D So thankful because I know if anyone had opened the package, whether it be an adult or a child, I probably would have never even gotten a chance to see it in person. ^_^"

I've never seen a review where someone is pictured wearing the locket. Is it comfortable to wear? Is it too big or heavy to wear?
Fermataloid I think it's too big and heavy to wear, maybe if it was a kid playing with it that'd be ok XD
What does the "Moonlight Memory" mean? Is it just supposed to be more similar to the old toy? I know the Proplia's are supposed to look more like the actual object instead of looking like a toy. Just curious ^__^
***** that's just what they decided to name this product line, but yeah the Moonlight Memory toys are supposed to look like the old toys, even the packaging!
It was used to reintroduction the transformation items in jewelry case type. In a way it's more like bringing back the items in a nostalgic way. While this was a good brand and a way to bring back non electronic items ,I like the fact that the detail on these were accurate. However the first season brooch was based on the make up kit that appeared in the 90's .
Originally before the moonlight memory Star Orgel was going to be released
Proplica was going to release its own version of the Star Orgel locket But sadly it was cancelled!

VERY NICE REVIEW MISS MOON. AS FOR MINE I USE GLOVES WHEN I GET THEM OUT OF THE BOX L.O.L. FOR SOME REASON IM IN LOVE WITH THE PINK VER. MAYBE BECAUSE I REMEMBER IN THE 90's IT SOLD 1,500 NEW IN ITS BOX AND I THOUGHT I WAS NEVER GOING TO GET ONE L.O.L :D

The pink one looks cute as well. Agree with the other comments though that the music sounds too fast and a little uneven. Wish they had put in a Japan movement for the music box inside but that might make the price too high
I never understood the reason for the pink one since it never makes any appearance after the first season, but it was released during the R season, I wonder if there is or was going to be a ep where the music orgel was going to be used and it changes from gold to Pink.

You could buy a stand from a home goods store or you could make one yourself. I decided to mKe one myself but you could buy a three legged picture holder or something of the like.
***** I usually just lay them flat but I also buy little plate stands that can hold up the compacts ^^
ALEX ILLEST I just lay them flat on the shelf right now, but when I have time I'll probably buy bigger plate stands to prop these up. the stands I have now are too small >

It is a beautiful piece, but I just noticed the half-moon is rotating the wrong way when it spins and it's very slow. I really wished the creators did the background of the night sky like in the original.

My 90s moon locket top also spins like the new moonlight memories one. Maybe the Korean version is slightly different?
The sound of the new one is a bit odd. Too fast and there's that sometimes random/jumping sound.
But like the back of the new one and the bigger size. Couldn't they make the button/stopper gold too, rather than black like now?
I have the 1992 Korean gold version I took the chain from thr necklace version and put it on there I wish they sounded like the anime tho
