- Sailor Moon's famous third brooch is finally here (again). But this time, It's actually anime accurate! Here I unbox and compare it with the 2016 compact (except it doesn't have batteries but trust me here, the RGB LED lights and sounds are the same!).

Imagine if season 6 did happen. Besides having the Amazoness Quartet in a larger role, they could've introduced more outer guardians given the discoveries of more Kuiper Belt objects and moons of Pluto at the time. Names like Sedna, Hydra, and Nix.

Ugh. I wish they would continue the original anime, even if Naoko wasn't involved. Dragon ball keeps coming back all the damn time, why can't sailor moon?
@Lilly Cat yes, I know. That's why I said I wish they'd do it without her.
My theory is that there is at least one elderly top executive at Toei who has a strong dislike for Naoko Takeuchi or Sailor Moon.
@@Dexshurun1988 Naoko bought most rights from Toei, so she probably has full say of content and stuff
I missed out on the original so I’m glad I was able to get this one! I like brilliant color versions of the proplica better.

This was one of my fave compacts. I jumped down the proplica rabbit hole and since I have adult money now I’ve ordered a few! Including this one on pre-order, I can’t wait to get it!

I do like both of them. I own the first release version. However, the only issue for both versions is that the sound pitch is lower than the normal pitch that was usually heard in the show. To think that issue would be fixed, but it was basically a "copy-and-paste" procedure.
Know what? I find the sounds a little "tinny" or"squeaky" in person. I feel like as much as they said the sounds were remastered, the speakers could be better... Does that make sense? I think the mic on the camera isn't picking it up 100% accurately.
@Sailor Tortilla The mic on your camera sounds great, and it picks up the sound 100%. And I think the speaker is fine. I guess I'm so used to hearing sounds a lot and how they are cued, etc.
Did they use the original music, SFX and vocals or just the music and SFX and have Kotono re-record everything?
Because I could've sworn there were articles stating that Kotono, Kae, Masako and Megumi recorded new dialog for the proplicas.

I agree, I didn't buy the Crisis compact, because it has sounds from the movie. Why release Chibiusa's crisis compact from the OG anime and then do Usagi's with movie sounds, it makes no sense. Same goes for the Eternal compact, they should have done a 90's version first. I'm really not a fan of Sailor Moon Crystal/Eternal, so wish they would go back to giving us more OG anime style merch.
@@SailorSteph The manga is the original. Since Crystal is based on the manga, it is way more original than the old 90s anime.
@@miyako1909 I said the original anime not the manga. Whether the new anime is more faithful to the manga or not the 90s version is the original anime. I prefer the 90s anime over the manga, that’s my opinion.

When I got the original version of this, I was so mad at how inaccurate it was that I sold it on EBAY right away. I did not purchase this new version, but I think it is very nice looking.

I love cosmic heart and spiral moon rod so when they came out a proplicas I wasn't gonna let anything stop me from getting them. I have to say I was slightly dissapointed in the brooch and the new one as well. The pitch shift is the thing that kills me. I understand it could be for matching with the old sound from the old toys, but I barely touch it cause it irks me.

The older version of the cosmic Heart brooch was the Proplica that got me into collecting the brooches, by now i have most of Sailor Moon's brooches

Red makes sense. The Cosmic Heart Compact is only pink after Usagi uses the Holy Grail to become Super Sailor Moon. And even then it's a light pink.

I do agree that thenew face on the brilliant color broach is better than the old face, and the back part on the old one is better. Also think that the more saturated colored pieces and the more light colored peices look great with each other if you ask me. Also you gave me some ptsd flashbacks when you showed that tsume art super sailor moon statue, eugh... P.S. - Still waiting for that Eternal Tiare Proplica, grrr! Hope it comes out soon...

Amazing to see that we finally have a officially confirmed Sailor Stars Prop!!! But there was NO Eternal Tiare 😡!!!! WHY?! I really hope they realease it, I'm going to be so upset if they dont!!!

I was so upset when I found out that they were releasing the brilliant color editions of the Cosmic Heart Brooch and Spiral Heart Moon Rod because I had gotten the OGs sometime last year and I could've saved lots of munnies ~ ToT
I did find out that they had preorders open for the Cosmos Brooch too though and snagged a preorder right away!
Thank you for showing us this comparison! I do love how red the new one looks, but I also love the gold interior compared to the new silver one.
I wish they had made the SuperS brooch with the OG music, but I'll probably get the Eternal edition eventually since they probably won't ever do it with the OG music. :(
Getting the OG Kaleidoscope will also be a big task since those appear to be really rare compared to the other proplicas. x_x
I'm really sorry you dropped that hard cash before the rerelease :( but the value is def higher cause it's rare! Also, I will never stop hoping for a 90's sound version of the Crisis brooch you're so right.
I have a feeling the original Kaleidomoon Scope didn't get as many pieces produced during the preorder period and I think it's because there was a big jump in prices when that one was announced. Bandai why you do this to ussss

I had the 2016 version and sold it right away with my disappointment at many details it did not reflect and the gemstones were popping off. I'm more into the accuracy of the Miniaturely tablets tbh but this 2023 version looks good so I may re-consider!

I can't wait to get mine I'd ordered it last year. BTW I think Bandai doing some anniversary thing they are reselling a bunch of magical girl toys. Luckily I was able to get a dreamspinner/Apprentice tap from Doremi they're also selling the wand from creamy Mami. I heard they also wanted to resell the stuff from Tokyo Mew Mew with the original music but because of the new anime they decided to put it on hold.
I'm sad it sounds like the new TMM didn't do too well :(
@@SailorTortilla it's more like they're indecisive of what score to use the timing of when they wanted to do this was just bad. They want to resell it with the original music but they think people would expect to hear the new music which is why the toys on hold but not canceled. I think they should make an anniversary Style with the old score wait a few months and then sell the version with the new score. I heard Pretty Cure had the same problem at one point when they wanted to resell one of the wands but the new generation came out at the same time.
I wish they will do other sailors’ wands 😭

Is this louder than the original Proplica?
I just ordered mine from Amazon and it came. But unfortunately, the box ended up arriving all beat up from shipping and poor packing. I had to do a return and replacement order on it. Now I'm afraid that the spiral heart moon rod proplica BC edition will also end up arriving beat up from the same thing. Amazon doesn't seem to care about taking care of delicate things when it comes to packing and shipping them.

I'm trying to sell mine. It was bought in 2017 how much is it to reasonably sell because I see them anywhere from 250 to 500 and I want to get as much out of it as I can without feeling like I'm robbing the person

Honestly I think Bandai QC is always unreliable :l and somehow proplicas receive the worst QC lmao I do love the colours of the new one but sadly I sent back a defective one only to receive a replacement that has a scratch and paint discoloration that somehow passed their QC 🙃 still love it! But the noticeable cosmetic flaws that somehow pass their QC is ridiculous sometimes 😅
