"EVGA no longer uses the edible packing peanuts." Notes crushed corners of GPU box.
i think the delivery companies are sliding down the hill on the "giving a shit" standards these days. i have had quite a few instances of packages being left out in the rain this winter rather than walked a few feet further to my covered patio.
edible wow, thats one way of recycling!
Recently ordered a 50th edition Ryzen 2700 and the Radeon Vii 50th edition. Had to RMA the CPU to get another because the box corner was crushed and im putting them both as display collector models.

@JUST DO IT giant generators? i see external power source for the graphics power juicer
@JUST DO IT don't let facts get in the way of a good story!!
On top of the backup generators most ventilators have a backup battery that will power them for about an hour or so
Those ventilator patients weren't pulling their weight anyways.
But extra frames? Good for the economy.
From what I've seen, people on ventilators are essentially dead anyway, just that their families have money left to milk out. Once that's gone, the doctors officially pull the plug.
It's saddening, but it's true.
Jay's enthusiasm over pc parts is what really inspired me to build mine, so than you jay! Keep up the great content

It was Linus
Probably because of the non-descriptive clickbait title. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't click the video earlier because of that.
Couldn't handle the girth joke...
Title is clickbait, deceptive (has nothing to do with the video card, it's an overclocking video), and it's nothing special, really. I don't watch videos like this, I have to click on it and skip through just to find out what's going on. Dislike is deserved.
Jay: "what might be the most overkill graphics card on the market!"

Great, thanks a lot Jay............
I always use the "It's not small it's condensed because of the air conditioning" as my excuse. My wife sees this I'm screwed, or rather not screwed.

Jay is the man! Without him, I would have no inspiration for my channel. Before I watched Jay, my channel was trash and I uploaded the most random videos, but now that I make tech videos, my channel has sky rocketed and I've gained many subs and views. Thank you for the inspiration Jay!
I think it's the most beautiful card I've ever seen. The understated slanted grey plate, the copper heatsink and the black fan go together in a lovely way
an overclocked "normal" 2080ti (ftw3 in this case) scores 15664 (gfx), that's essentially the base score for the kingpin card before you even try to OC it.. impressive.

Right now my 980Ti is paired with a Kaby Lake Celeron. Because reasons.
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge on watercooling and GPU overclocking over the years. Between you, Steve from GN, and the reddit overclocking discord I learned enough to overclock everything in my system to the max, then build a custom open loop cooling system, and the overclock everything again. Because of all this I'm now able to run my 1080 Ti at 2037 MHz (got an average core) and 14 GHz on memory (golden IMC). I love seeing my GPU hover at 40C all the time under heavy load. You had a lot to do with getting me here and I really learned a lot from your channel.

"That's like turning on the AC is gonna make your walls condense"
😂😂😂😂
That´s a very well designed looking card with the power connectors perfectly lined up with the shroud design. something that will help you sort the cable management easier.
it would be great if KPE watercooled card would come out with universal quick disconnect couplings, or with the rad attached to the cold plate via standard quarter-inch thread fittings (i know that the pump would have to be relocated elsewhere), so that it would be possible to integrate the card in an already existing custom loop without sacrificing the aesthethic of the cooler shroud which i found really amazing

Fractal Design damn mate. Now I saw one sell for 650.
If there is one company in the PC building base that deserves fanboys its EVGA. Stellar company. My 2080 ftw 3 is an absolute beast at cooling and OC. I will never buy a GPU from another company.

@@chebrneck thats your choice I guess? Defects can happen with literally every product.
Depends on the region. EVGA is American so support there is awesome, also in the western hemisphere. But in other regions, EVGA is dud. Asus customer care sucks everywhere lol.

"That's like saying turning on the AC makes the walls condense"
After living in Thailand for a year... Yes, this happens. High humidity and high heat where the inside of the room quickly drops temp makes the whole room condense... Windows become impossible to see through.
Amazing...an AIO with its own radiator fans, *and* that VRAM fan on the card...and 3 8-pin connectors. The features boggle the mind. :)
Hey Jay keep up the good work and congratulations on the new studio!

I don't blame you, overpowered GPU is like narcotic to pc guy in general.
The rare Radeon fan
#RedTeamAssemble
You must like 1080p 60fps
Nathan Kennedy Radeon cards are well capable for high fps lets not do that
Has anyone experimented with using humidity reduction systems to drive down the humidity in the room they are doing extreme overclocking in.
Simple silica gel could reduce the dew point by at least 10 degrees, possibly as much as 30 degrees depending on what sort of rig it's used in (High power circulation system pushing the air in the room through silica gel, for instance). Lowering the ambient temperature in the room as much as possible could aid in this.
Another method would be to bring the entire room down to -10 Celsius like a deep freeze. This would make any condensation on the cooling unit for the room (which would need a LOT of deicing) instead of the computer equipment.
As of the +5v running high, you probably need to use a different overclock software better equipped to handle the card.
It might also be the result of how something, somewhere along the line deals with voltage drop flutter, in which case you need to add some caps in your power supply lines. You might even want to throw some chokes in for a full low-pass filter in the line. Or you could just throw in an even more expensive power supply than the one you have. (Meaning going and grabbing something from the industrial market or building something custom built.)
"your girth, vs the girth of the guy she tells you not to worry about" this is why i love this channel
Pretty cool to see. My 2080ti ftw3 hybrid gets the same clock and mem speed at your max ambient.
That's right, my 2080ti FE with the hybrid kit installed gets almost better scores than his highest before chilling the radiator. goes to show how power limited/temperature bound these chips are.
Thought my 1070 ti was incredible
Jay be like here’s a ladder to get up to my level
Air conditioners act as dehumidifiers - they collect condensation on the coils and drain it outside or into a sink drain.
This is pretty common knowledge. ACs set too low will freeze from ice build-up on the coils due to this effect. If water didn't condense on the coils, they wouldn't freeze.
yeah, most people seem to forget that the primary purpose of an A/C is to condition the air not cool it. Cooling the Air is just a side effect of the process.
If you were to breathe directly into the computer it might condense but many AC's have condensation collectors built in anyway. This is why your lips get chapped when the AC is on because it pulls water out of the air into a tray that you have to empty. The condensation happens to liquid cooled parts because the internal liquid is colder than the air with water in it. If the air is already cold the condensation is happening at a different point in the cycle.
I'm actually liking this card. I appreciate your review of this!
At least I got to watch it before it reached 110 views. I'm getting better at this... But I Digress... Great video Jay.
those air coolers still look insanely beautiful. The copper heat sinks are very much eye candy
The reason the walls don't sweat when you use that portable A/C unit is it is condensing and conditioning the air by removing the heat and blowing the conditioned air. You are removing moisture and heat. =)
Of course this VGA is not for the faint of hearth because with that price you can build an entire decent gaming PC
For half
Decent ? Super high end for $1900. RTX 2080/Core i9-9900k/MSI z390 pro/16gb 3200Mhz/EVGA Supernova 750W/Samsung 970 Evo 250GB/Seagate Barracuda 2TB/Noctua NH-d15 for $1740. :/ :/
Jamie Ammar
Not really super high end. You won’t be getting a custom waterloop for that price and that build isn’t really optimised for anything other than 4K gaming. 16GB of RAM is steadily becoming obsolete and will need upgrading within a couple years.
Certainly high end but not anything special.
r a r e
Everyone needs a custom loop in their life. I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who has to suffer the horror of air cooling.
Just take it one day at a time. You’ll make it through one day. And on the other side you’ll find cooler temps, less noise and more badass looking builds.
@@profblack I was waiting for a wise guy to eventually show up and say what you said, lol. Let's say I change the 16GB RAM to 32GB, it will be $1800 from $1739. There's no use for custom waterloop unless you crazy overclock. In general use, a Noctua air cooler beats even the best AIO in cooling, watch Linus video. Anything above this and you enter the enthusiast territory leaving the high end where one wouldn't mind spending $1900 on a Kingpin.
The day I spend $300 on earbuds is the day I'll burn the entirety of my bank account and not care.
Steve mentions in his OC stream, that the ln2 profile is meant only for using ln2. Tinn says that you can destroy the card by running it on the ln2 bios while on water, you may have actually been able to get a better overclock if you had used the second profile.

regarding the mini-displayport solution: whoever has the money to hook uup more than one monitor has the few extra bucks for an adapter-cable from mini to fullsize DP. ignoring for a moment, the card alone is expensive as hell. so, other boardpartners should copy that. single slot capabilities also mean more space for vents with an aircooler.

EVGA is the number one video card I get in for repairs. 80% of the time for a port with ripped wires. They use cheap HDMI and display ports on their devices. Ports that are proprietary. Just to make them tough to get and expensive. I pay 15 bucks a piece for 1 port that is worth about .06 cents. It's the only source I've ever found. They don't even sell them themselves. I do not like to support companies that do not support the right to repair. The cards I see the least of is Gigabyte who use genuine Japanese SMD components.
Does it run doom 1993?
This Video Card is NOT for the poor...
We all have dreams!!!
the biggest thing with cooling something like this is that as long as the cold air temperature is above the dew point its fine. someplace like the desert the dew point is regularly close to freezing, so i could easily cool my entire pc to 35F and not have a drop of condensation. if i was in florida in miami where the dew point is 70F for today, i could only cool my pc to 71F otherwise the colder parts would start forming condensation. o and btw the la area is pretty dry so the dew point is normally very low compared to the rest of the country

The condensation XD they got it the wrong way around heating air up makes it capable of carrying more water so really its a good way to "dryout" that radiator.
And of course the water tubes are coming out of the long side, requiring a ton of space inside the PC case. They put the power connectors on the far end of the card, which reduces the need for PC case sideways space (I really can't understand why _all_ graphics card don't do this), but they they nullify the benefit, by orders of magnitude, by putting the water tubes on the side.

KINGPIN cards should come with AIO LN2 loops.
If I had the money, I still wouldn't buy it.
@@atiradeon6320 Yeah well, can't all be boomers my friend.
The thing about the people who freak out about condensation is that they probably don't realize that you live in an area with quite low humidity. If I were to hit those temps here outside Atlanta, there would DEFINITELY be condensation in like 2-3 minutes (and that would be dangerous) but out there in SoCal, there's just not enough water in the air for condensation to be happening at a dangerous level.
Edit: grammar

I hope more GPU manufacturers start making more water cooled cards out the box. Really helps when a starter tries to build a PC.
I just checked the EVGA site (US). It's $1899.99 US, but you need to be an ASSOCIATE MEMBER to even buy it. It's some kind of owner club.. so you already have to have purchased an RTX or GTX card previously and registered it.
You can use anyones associate code. Go to evga forums and browse the rtx 2080 section, a lot of people have their associates codes in signatures as well as posting it on kingpin threads.
