    Hi great video LSA team - you rock! Thank you so much for taking the time. One thing that is not clear to me - in another guide I read that it is very important to do correct adjustment of the "selector index spring". Is this the same as "roller blade" you referred to? If so, how did you know how tight to make the bolt on it?

    How can I know the model number of the solenoid valves without opening the box ?

    Hi, can you please advise when we refill the transmission oil, how would we know its upto level. So when we refill and when it starts to overflow or do we need to measure the oil we drained and fill the same quantity? Thank you

    Spot on video going to try my 407 Peugeot v6 box in a coupe of months started crunching now at 70 000 k know and again, but it goes all right for 6 weeks no noise or crunching then it does the same thing for 2 weeks then clears back to no problems, I changed the oil about year ago but started to get more regular problems now where do you get the solenoids from AliExpress is OK or do you have a link to where to buy the solenoids from please thank you I have seen some people pay £450 just to have the box reckoned without fitting back into the car I'm nearly 70 years old now but still loving the challenge have a Citroën c6 with the same box as well

    Do you know if this valves does intermitent problems?... my car some times show me “anormal gearbox” (is a Picasso xsara). I turn off then on and Works again good. Not depending of velocity, way up or coastdown. Thanks in advance.

    Hi thanks for the video but i see you just tide the roller blade and put in but that roller blade connect to the gear at the back must the car be in park when i put roller blade back somewhere i do wrong neutral is my drive and when i put in drive then its like neutral if you know what i mean thanks

    I replaced the solonoid as per this video.firet try I haven't done manual valve properly.started no gears. Then I re done with manual valve. Now gear enters and then engine stops when realese the breake. Can you please advise any cause?

    Renault scenic 2...1.6 automatic. Been crying over how to sort out gearbox issues. Moves freely inbetween PDNR but just revs in D...moves only on fiat surface but doesn't chsnge gear..Can only move up slight incline in R.
    Diagnostic revealed speed sensor issue, i replaced sensor but still same problem.
    Help!Help!Help!
    No mechanic wants to touch this gearbox....suggested converting to manual transmission.

    Shouldnt the Al 4 have lt71141 fluid in it, not jws3309. Jws3309 is for the later am6 aisin warner box...??

    I have a problem with my gearbox.
    Car renault scenic 3 2.0 petrol.
    There is a 6-speed gearbox in the car. while driving, it lingers the gears, sometimes it jerks when driving more dynamically, the engine revs go up and the car does not accelerate dynamically, the engine then works louder.
    can I have any suggestions for the fault?

    Please help me, after cleaning my al4 gearbox valvebody , car isnt move fast. Reverse also very slow. Oil colour and smell fine. Not bad. Manual valve adjested, multifunction switch adjested. All solonoid valves resistance ok.

    There is one mistake visible in 13:00. You didn't put correctly a metal movable pin (placed under a spring) so you have to remove it once again. You are not showing how it happened but just before putting back a oil cover everything is fine.

    Great video! I read that a car must be levelled when refilling transmission oil, did you bother to perfectly level it or just more or less levelled is ok?

      The car must be leveled anytime you top up any fluids (engine oil, gearbox oil, power steering fluid etc).
      I have my spot where the car is more or less leveled.
      I can't think of any way you can level it 100% unless you work in a garage.
      For this particular car I measured how much oil came out from the gearbox, check it against manufacturer's specification (which was spot on) and put back the same amount.

    I have a 2006 Citroen C5 model 2.0 16v (AL4) automatic transmission vehicle.
    I get transmission failure when it rains.
    I am getting error U1003-0103 in OBD data
    In addition, the vehicle changes gears on its own while driving on the road.
    When the rain stops, my car returns to normal. Errors cleared
    I think part of my car is getting water and the problem persists until this water dries up.
    What is the faulty part?

    Selenoid valfs, al4 pressure sensor, al4 cooler, sensor seals and hydraulic block settings and oil changed in my car but the problem is keep going. How many liter of oil did you add it bro? Could you help me? and you filled it up with red oil? Actually, we use Mobil 71141 lt. Why did you fill different oil?

    I did as you show in Laguna 2. New solenoids, new oil. And now the gearbox jerks a lot from 1 to 2. And from 2 to 3 gives emergency mode. Do you have a solution?

      Szymon Łoziński try to scan your ecu to see what fault codes you have.
      Very common mistake when you do the gearbo repair is to not fit the valve body lever properly or not have the right oil or the right quantity of oil in the gearbox

    But with mine, after changing the solenoid valves, it now takes too much time to engage gear 2 and 3 while 4 doesn't at all especially when ascending. Any help as in further guidance?

      Unfortunately that is the feedback that I been getting from msny sources. Even after repairs, these french automatic gearbox problems reoccur. Best to convert car to manual transmission. So I am looking at that on my Renault scenic 2

      Check the video at 7.00 and at 8.00 for the manual valve. If its not correctly placed hence the problem you're having.

    Thanks for a nice video. I have questions about my car. It is Renault megane with DP0083M transmission. I have changed the transmission because the last one was not shifting from second gear to third and fourth after seen the video on UA-cam i have replace the valve and oil but no luck then someone advice me to replace the gearbox so i ordered second hand and replaced. Still the car have same fault as i never changed any thing. Kindly advice what it could be.

      Hello!
      I am not an experienced mechanic, even if I would be is still difficult to answer your question.
      Obviously you need to have your car checked by a gearbox repair specialist as it might have lots of reasons why it behave like that.
      From my previous experience I can tell it might be anything from ECM, Solenoids, Loose Connectors or dry solder joints, even low oil level or wrong viscosity.
      Sorry I can't help this time

      Apparently these Renault automatic gearbox is a disaster. I have been.advised by numerous specialist and mechanics and Renault owners, to just convert to manual transmission. And because this is so common, parts to convert is readily available and you may already have a few guys in your area already offering this service with all the parts needed.
      I have scenic 2 to is going this root. Entire conversion with parts are around the same cost as sending my current auto gearbox for a complete overhaul.
      Look into converting. Good luck

    Hello guys. After replacing selenoids I have a problem with "kicking" gearbox. Any suggestions where to look? I didn't fully opened this hydraulic box. Only 2 main plates to clean this. But I didn't want to play with springs and small parts. I did evrything like you on video 😩

    Hi, great video, thanks for sharing this. I would want to perform same operation on my 307 peugeot, but I have few questions that might help me. What gear did you put gearbox before starting, what tools did you use (especially second drain plug), how did you adjust manual valve and roller blade without specific tools (video is skiping exactly at that part), it was a Lexya needed after mounting electrovalves for recalibration or software update?

      Thanks for watching my video.
      The car was in park all the time. For the second drain plug I used an allen key. For the rest of the work I used a KS wrench tool set.
      You don’t need any tool for manual valve and roller blade, you’ll adjust them by hand (sorry but I don’t have a better view on that).
      I haven’t used any special software for recalibration. It might calibrate itself or you can use a generic software like Delphi or wurth (wow)

      Sorry but i can't remember which tools i used, if you have the full set around you it shouldn't be any problem.
      80% of the time I use a 215 piece sockets set. This is a life saver. I recommend anyone who plan to work on their cars to get one of this.

      @@lsateam1491 Thank you again for this Video, managed to fix my 307 cc by changing those 2 electro valves (bought parts for Renault - they where cheaper :) ) - I have done this about 6-8 months ago. At first some shocks were felt from 1st to second and from 3 to 4, but with time it was getting better. Now it is awesome. I also have replaced the oil cooler with one on air and that might count as well. As an advice for others, especially beginners like me, I had issues with some bolts and broke several of them, even from inside the valve block. But with all those issues I managed to put all together and it is working properly. tip: roller blade I've put the pin correctly and tighten up the bolt until that lame was straight - that it's all I've done, not much of a fuss - I was scared about setting roller blade, but not much to be done there. Now the gearbox is working almost perfectly - before it was having the limp mode error and I couldn't drive the car - Thank you @LSA Team for this video

    Can you help me. My Citreon C4 AL4 shifting from 2nd to 3rd is odd. After revving up in 2nd gear, revs goes down like it is shifted to 3rd gear but it is not, after revs go up again it is shifted to 3rd smoothly. Manual shifting works without problem.     Hi, just finished replacement of the electrovalves, everything was as described in your tutorial. However, the problem now I'm facing is very high oil pressure. It starts from 11.25 bars on cold oil and then gradually falls to ~4.5 as the oil heats up. With load, oil pressure instantly goes up to 11.25 on regardless of the temperature. Because of this whenever I try to drive the gearbox instantly goes into limp mode with guide pressure 3.5 bar and actual 11.25. I've repeated the oil levelling procedure, the problem still persists.
    Have you heard of anything like this before? Will be grateful for any advice.

      Sorry but I am not aware of any problems regarding oil pressure. 11.25 bars seems too much for a gearbox.

    Hi good day,
    My wife's car gear has a Limp, it normally get. Stuck at gear 1, but it only do this when the engine is a little hot. I mean when she go for atleast 10 kilometers with out a stop.
    Could it be this kind of repair work is needed?
    My wife's car is 206 SW driven by TU5 engine,AL4.
    I am planning to use PP2000 to diagnose the problem tomorrow, I will tell the code of the error. Before then stay safe pals.

    AL4 DPO gear box not use red color oil , must be brown color. You use wrong oil, is not that cod number...
    LT 71141 this is the original oil

      is not useless comment, I told is not original oil....you possible to put any kind of oil, also sunflower oil, the gear box will working, but not for long time, until damage.
      Normal oil is ESSO ATF 71141, and color is yellow-brown, not red...
      That all.
