Well…I’m have the same truck, year ,color and model. Your video definitely helped, But you sounded so stressed the whole time I thought this was going to be difficult. Here is the tip we all need so you don’t have to worry if your arm will fit to remove the DRL BULB. Ready? Do everything this video suggests but REMOVE ALL the top grill bolts and reach over the top of the grill to get the bulb out ! Super easy that way!
@@davemcdaniel7446 Before seeing your tip I used the same exact method. If there is a need to align the light before reaching over the gill to place back into the housing, you can reach over the top of the light into the opening to place the bulb at the hole.
Just take the air filter box out and you can reach the bulb without having to go from underneath. Its wayyyyyy easier. Theres a video on here that shows you how to do it. Simply dissconnect the hose from the air filter box, pull the box up and it comes right out. Then you can easily reach the bulb.😊
Good Video. GM wins the idiot designer award for this. Every time I see a Tahoe, Silverado, Suburban, & Avalanche with one-eyed daytime driver lights, I’m reminded they should send me $200...because I’m never paying them $400 labor to change my bulb... IDIOTS!
Use this on the contacts of the bulb and they will last even longer. $1.49 at Advance Auto. Works on all electrical contacts. Prevents corrosion. Great video though. it did help. Thanks.
Start the car, put your foot on the brake, put it in drive, and have a friend/family member/neighbor/well trained pet confirm the running light turned on. Absent all of those, think of a business parking lot like a strip mall where you can pull up to the store front and observe your car’s reflection in the store front glass.

Stressed? Really? Regardless, thanks for adding the tip.
I tried it and it works. Thanks!

What about the drivers side?
Thank you so much
Thank you for the video
Thanks, I don't know if you should touch the bulb with your bare hands though, at least wipe bulb off if you do. Thanks!
Good Video.

How do you check to make sure the lights work?

Now you have to show the drivers side. That is completely different.
There is a big mental brace in the way on drivers side
I had no problem with the bright and dim bulbs
Need to take off all the top bolts off the grill
Yes there's no need to loosen that bolt in the wheel well.
On the 2011 ltz.there are 2 metal bars running vertically behind where you can't get your fingers in to take bulb out
You have take the whole side front panel to get to both of them
By reflection
Gloves keep the fingerprints off the bulb
I found out from a reflection of a vehicle ahead of me at a stoplight
Probably be best to wear latex gloves to
I just spray the bolts with WD-40
