In an event co-sponsored by the Gallatin Human Rights Initiative, The Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies, and the Middle East and Islamic Studies Department on October 15, 2024, Michael Fakhri, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, presented the Report he submitted to the 79th session of the General Assembly prior to the General Assembly convening on this report later that same week. A distinguished panel of scholars of international human rights law and humanitarian law offer analysis and commentary, including Prof. Asli Bali (Yale), Adil Haque (Rutgers) and Zeina Jallad (AUB).
