there is an actual reason you can only pick Bulbasaur and Squirtle
it's because Leon took charmander during his time at the dojo the other two are just the leftovers

Not only that but Leon leaves you a Charmander in the post game.
Leon give you a Charmander after you beat him anyway so it's not like you're missing out.
Oh so it is general updates not just the hardware alright this is pretty epic

the most accurate one has gotta be that part about new pokemon snap, the base game already had so much playtime and they decided to give us even more, and they also hinted at possible future updates since they only just introduced the mini mode for the the first level, there could be ini versions of so many more levels
The game really costed a lot for what It offered so yeah It makes sense for them to add more things.

For me King Bomb and Wiggler were interesting too because we’ve only seen their most recent playable appearances in Mario Kart (Tour for King Bomb and 7 for Wiggler)

The Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion has to be my favourite of the Nintendo DLCs. It is basically a whole spinoff game inside of the game it's based on, and it adds so much. I do agree that not being to skip the idols in either game is kinda annoying though...
Would you say getting the game just for the Octo Expansion is a good idea?
Because I love Splatoon's gameplay but don't really play online often, and if I got Splatoon 2 I would only play it's single player content "mainly the DLC" from what I've heard.

Well with Splatoon 3 out I'd recommend getting that one, as it has a significantly larger and (in my opinion) repayable single player campaign and mini games.
If you really want the Splatoon 2 experience I'd recommend getting the Octo Expansion with it, as it has a great single player campaign with fun multi-player unlockables. That's not to say Splatoon 2 has a bad story mode or anything, but if you're primarily an single player I recommend Splatoon 3 or Splatoon 2 with the Octo Expansion in tow. Splatoon 3 is really the one you should get as it just came out as will continue to get updates and DLC if it's own, but I won't judge.
5:04 don't knock it till you try it, using a detached joycon in each hand is super underrated (as long as they aren't drifting)

I usually play SMG from 3D All-Stars and SMO with detached Joycon, it's surprisingly comfortable
my hand usually blocks the signal
In my defense, even if the extra content has been delayed by a few months, at least it's still a free update and not paid DLC... *for the most part.*
In that case just wait a few months when the free updates are out and then buy the game, if not, you're paying full price for half of the game

Kirby Star Allies was fine and honestly it didn't look like the game wasn't finished, but they announced free updates for Mario Golf before it even came out, that is really lame
They just release unfinished games with the excuse of Free Updates

you can't pick charmander because you can get him without dlc
just go to hop's house and into leon's room and it's in the middle of the room (I have shield)

I remember watching you when I was a young, carefree primary/elementary (UK/US) school child, using my dads phone or an iPad. Thank you for all the memories you have given me, around 5 years later. I haven’t been looking at all the channels that made my childhood lately….. oh, how the past is so hard to cling onto, slowly fading away when you find new interests, subscribe to more channels…… but no matter what, I can’t… just can’t let it go forever. As much as free updates don't bother me in the grand scheme of things...
It is jarring just how many games on the Switch got them. What's more, some just give you stuff that you'd think would be in the base game (like an opening movie for Mario Tennis or adjustable AI difficulty for Mario Golf).
I think that Mario Tennis Aces and Kirby Star Allies offered the coolest updates. They added fun characters and were mighty consistent. Super Mario Odyssey's Balloon World is fun too, and Super Mario Maker 2 was nice.
That being said...let's see more complete games moving forward. I don't want half of a Mario sports roster or essential features to be locked behind waiting a few months. That's lame.

To be honest, I actually wish we got a Wave 4 in Kirby Star Allies. To be original, it would've been cool if we got some characters from the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya! as playable, either them or we could've gotten Lololo and Lalala or Shaggy and Scooby.
Escargoon would be a fun one.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 wasn’t on here because they added so much more content including 14 new party members, tons of quality of life, a brand new challenge mode, and an entire separate game if you bought the DLC.

Chatmander is only available to you at Hop's house after becoming champion in Sword and Shield, so regardless you can only choose between Squirtle and Bulbasaur because Leon already took the original Charmander that was there
Kubfu might’ve evolved by reading something off of the scroll(knowing how to speak the language it was written in). It might’ve been one of 2 kinds of scrolls that evolves him into one kind of Urshifu, whereas the second kind evolves him into the other.
