Man. This takes me back. I got it christmas 04 and the first 5 games of mine was mario party 4, double dash, the spongebob movie game, sonic adventure 2 battle, and sunshine. So i saw dk in mario party, wrecking double dash with mario and wario, dennis almost kills the sponge, live and learn and bowser talks in a mario game. And christmas 05. I still have my GameCube. I modded mine slightly so not only i can play at home, but i can play in the car without the need for an inverter. I still have the Game Boy attachment but i lost the startup disc a long time ago, and I'm pretty sure they're stupid expensive for a replacement disc.

And damn if I wasn't floored by the graphics of Rogue Squadron. But how was I supposed to know that only like 5 people in my town wanted one at launch and they had probably 150 in stock on day 1.
So he said name another console that lets you change the music of the start up, well the Nintendo switch does just that. For the start up when you press the same button 3 times, you can press the right trigger or the left trigger to make some funny sounds, you also get some other funny sounds if you press on the left or right joystick.
Finally! A mind blowing video on my very first console! I grew up on this masterpiece of a system and still play on it, even 10 years later! And in case you didn’t know, the hidden startups aren’t the only secret the cube is hiding! The menu theme is actually a slowed down version of the startup theme to the Famicom Disk System!
Shoutout to third party jams like Eternal Darkness, MoH Rising Sun, True Crime Streets of LA, THUG 1 and 2, Simpsons Hit and Run, Soul Calibur II, 007 Nightfire and Agent Under Fire. I know I'm missing a lot of bangers but that's off the top of my head.

My childhood was spent with GameCube and I never had known a game like smash existed up until Smash 4 got released and my friend introduced me to it. Smash Ultimate is my first game I've owned of that series and I love it so goddamn much!
Very thankful that the GameCube was the first Nintendo console that I owned. Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Mario Party 6-7, Melee, and Kirby Air ride are my favorites and still own them to this day!

It released upon a time when Nintendo was using it's licenses (which were a lot, especially compared to other consoles at the time), and still respected them. Oh and there's the fact that most games that released in every platforms at the time had their gamecube version (which was more powerful) as the best one, and their PS2 version as the worst, for exemple Sonic Heroes or SoulCalibur 2.
It felt so unique and powerful in its way. I love the GC's design philosophy. Hope that someday their design team takes a look back at it and dares to design something that takes a few more risks!

I loved the gamecube as a kid, although I was always very unimpressed at the fact some games multiplayer only worked with a GBA plugged in. My family didn't have money to buy a GBA, nor the cable to plug it in to the gamecube. Still will never forget playing OoT, Wind waker, Paper Mario, Kirby AirRide, & smash bros.
Some of the game icons on your memory card had different animations when you clicked on erase and had to press either yes or no . I don't remember which game it was, but there was one where the characters cried with their hands buried in their faces, waving you good bye... Seeing that was just heartbreaking.
The fact that the GameCube's controller is being supported 3 console generations later is mind blowing, and I can certainly see why it is.

My family didn't have money to buy a GBA, nor the cable to plug it in to the gamecube. Still will never forget playing OoT, Wind waker, Paper Mario, Kirby AirRide, & smash bros.

Some of the game icons on your memory card had different animations when you clicked on erase and had to press either yes or no .
I don't remember which game it was, but there was one where the characters cried with their hands buried in their faces, waving you good bye...
Seeing that was just heartbreaking.
