I'm actually happy for Woodle, he has managed to get a pretty decent game out of the first... thing. It's always nice to see a pretty alright game pop up every now and then in the most unexpected places. It kind of fills you with hope.
I was thinking that with all the shit he showed off, Woodle 2 being "Kinda like BotW" must have felt like experiencing Mario 64 for the first time again.
So fun fact about "Fight of Gods" I actually met the creators of this game at a competition. So I asked them how'd they come up with the idea of this game. And they just told me "why not"...pretty fking awesome XD
kinda epic? I mean, in the fighting game community, its not being shitted on as much as other games, so kudos for the creators for making it. They also made the Christian church mad at one point
Okay, so I have to say I was a little sad when Ant was talking about the first Woodle game because it seemed like someone's first game or something and he was just ripping it a new one, but then he gets to the second game and I was so happy to hear that it turned out good. So I decided to look it up to see if it actually is a project of love or just corporate shovelware, and as it turns out it is actually a labor of love from 4 people based out of Milan, Italy. Also, they have what may be the most adorable name for their game studio: Chubby Pixel. Their games don't look like they're the greatest, but they seem to be improving, and for such a small studio (again only 4 people) I've gotta say that the second Woodle game seems really impressive. If by some chance any of the people from that studio read this, I hope you continue making games and improving and someday you get a spotlight in a Nintendo Direct: Nindies showcase.
Yo i was thinking the exact same! I had a load of Gold Points left over on the eShop one day, so I decided to buy the first game, and I was actually kinda pleased, finished the game within like an hour and kinda forgot about it. Then like 2 years later, my little sister's birthday comes around, so I get her the two games, and the second onw for myself so i can actually play it with her. It's really good actually!
I am Italian, and I met the creators of the game in a convention. They where really nice and let me play woodle tree 2. When I went back home I downloaded it on my switch. Worth it.
That second game is such a pleasant surprise. By no means will it replace Nintendo's big hits, but this is still a solid 3D platformer for an absolute steal of a price.
I worked as the lead programmer for Woodle 2 Adventures and I really appreciate the nice comments on the game! And no, I had no hand in the first game; the lead guy, Fabio, reached out to me after finding my Third Person Control kit for Unity and wanting to integrate it into the sequel, and I've been working with him since. The game did take a lot of inspiration from Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, and 3D World. I'm proud to have worked on it! For anyone looking to play it, it's available on Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One (the last 2 I had no hand in porting) with the PC version being the most up-to-date and well-performing. I also appreciate that I'm not the only person that thought the Fall Guys characters looked like Woodle; everyone I knew said that they clearly took inspiration from Woodle and I agree.
Woodle Tree 2 looks like a wholesome game I could actually see myself getting on sale Edit I actually bought it, and I hope this company gets more of a budget, and gets to keep their cute little tree stump, this is incredibly charming, not GOTY contender obviously, but really fun and cute, try it sometime
I didn’t mind Woodle Tree Adventure. It had a few problems, but what can you expect from a $3 3D platformer. It grew on me after playing it for a while. I’ve been curious about the sequel but haven’t checked it out yet. Thanks for the recommendation.
Something that hurts more than not owning a Switch is looking at Vroom in the Night Sky and realizing how much potential it had. It could have been an open world magical girl delivering packages and exploring with friends. Like Kiki's Delivery Service or something.
I don't really see that. Seeing potential is more like seeing part of a good idea that isn't fully realized, not making something up to add in out of thin air.

Kinda? Not really? The Mario skin I’m pretty is temporary for the anniversary celebration, I assume it’ll go away at the end of March like everything else.

Hey, you probably won't see this comment Anthony, but I went ahead and tried out the zengrips since I'd been looking for a product like that for a while. So far it's been a GODSEND. No more cramped fingies while playing my games! I wanted to thank you for the sponsorship. I don't usually buy sponsored items (because I'm always broke) but I took a chance with this one and it really paid off. Thank you, and I would definitely recommend the product to anyone else!
When I play Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe, I play some Balan Wonderworld music and strangely it fits pretty well, not to mention it's a lot less uncanny valley than that game. I can certainly say I'd recommend it.
I recommend two games that once went for $1 and $2 respectively, Agent A and Way of the Passive Fist! It’s nice to see simple, cheap games that have proper polish and quality control!
Agent A I have played all the way through and as a puzzle game lover my thoughts are meh, the puzzles feel really convoluted at one point and just make it a lot less fun, albeit for 1 dollar yeah it’s a good buy
@@futureddude4250 What are your favorite puzzle games in that semi-point-and-clicky style? My mom played Agent A together and she loved it, so I'd like to find similar games for her.
I don't think I've ever seen Diddy Kong in ANY Mario Kart game...except maybe the DS one? Or MK7? Isn't it because Diddy has his own racing series, called "Diddy Kong Racing"? Which had guests like Banjo-Kazooie, Gruntilda, King K. Rool,( a pig wizard?), maybe could've used some Star Fox characters? Or Crash Bandicoot or Spyro characters, definitely, and also I think they had Conker the Squirrel, from the critically acclimated N64 classic, Conker's Bad Fur Day, which has never gotten the sequel it deserved...but it did get a disappointing remake called "Conker: Live & Reloaded" on the Xbox 360 back in 2005. It made the charm of the original lost on everyone who played that version. And thus, poor Conker hasn't seen the light of day since then...
How dare you mock the best game ever made. There is no kart racer in existence that can match the several levels of perfection that is Garfield kart furious racing. /s (just to be safe)
Is it weird to say I kinda want you to make a more in-depth review of the Woodle games? I've been checking out Woodle 2 and so far it's actually pretty neat
Glad you at least pointed out one or two decent games here, I like it when that happens as it does show we can't expect everything to be trash after all. Geez that last one tho.... Just reminds me that Inklings(and Octolings) have standards.
5:57 "A God-themed fighting game" *shows Buddha on screen* Wait a moment... Since when is Buddha a god again? Oh right, he isn't. 6:31 You know, never mind. 15:08 I've been playing Google Translated FE6 yesterday. This dialogue makes about as much sense...
My favorite thing about AntDude looking at a bunch of games: -Seeing the thumbnail and being very very confused -Watching the video and still being a little confused but is now able to understand and point out all the details on the thumbnail that was mentioned in the video.
Ah yes' "Nicky". A game that had the audacity to put my name on it. They turned me into a golf ball. And to add insult to injury this game is literally just a worse version of getting over it but with that text to spech voice that's mostly used on meme and/or MLG compilations as the narrator for some freaking reason. I bought the game out of curiosity that day. What a horrible mistake that was. Also yes I agree I should be in Smash.
The worst thing about “Piano” is that the keyboard layout is totally wrong. There’s an extra white key and you can’t play the black keys, so if you learn to play on that app, you’re screwed.
So, Fight of Gods is just Faith Fighter? But in 3D with arguably less offense. You can also play as Xenu the Exalted in Faith Fighter. He has a freeze ray pistol.
0:22 I've tried both the Satisfye grip and the Hori Split Pad Pro, and I prefer the Split Pad due to its bigger analog sticks, turbo function, and assignable buttons on the back.

Getting Over It was technically a ripoff of Sexy Hiking.
There's actually this golfing game that I think is supposed to be a parody of Getting Over It that plays EXACTLY like Nicky. I forgot what it was called but I think Nicky's ripping off that.

Fact: most people should get downwell on their switch. It’s a very good game that costs a whopping 2 DOLLARS!
Oh, I remember that! I should play it some more.

Fight of Gods reminds me of this one flash game called "Faith fighter" or something like that. Maybe it was faith fighter 2? I can't remember

This just reminded me that the damn ESHOP managed to get themes before the actual Switch itself
Kinda? Not really? The Mario skin I’m pretty is temporary for the anniversary celebration, I assume it’ll go away at the end of March like everything else.
Still no music though.

Here’s some info about Croc’s World that I know of: The Xbox One version is free but you only get to play like one level before you HAVE to pay 2 dollars to progress. I found that like 2 years ago

6:40 a playable Santa Claus in a fighting game... Last time i heard that was Clayfighter. XD
When I play Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe, I play some Balan Wonderworld music and strangely it fits pretty well, not to mention it's a lot less uncanny valley than that game. I can certainly say I'd recommend it.
Wow, a sponsor for something I've actually been looking for. Well done!
When the text-to-speech started talking to Nicky I swore it was about to welcome him to Wrestle with the Lenny in the Thunderdome Ring.

18:51 don’t worry guys Diddy quit that job and now he’s back in Mario Kart
You should talk about epic mickey, it is constantly forgotten and it's one of my favorite games.
I love epic Mickey, it's one of my favourite childhood games
I actually want that grip for the switch

It scratched some of the paint off my joycons. Otherwise, I recommend it.
Hey at least AntDude didn’t waste money buying garfield kart furious racing on switch

Glad you at least pointed out one or two decent games here, I like it when that happens as it does show we can't expect everything to be trash after all.
Geez that last one tho.... Just reminds me that Inklings(and Octolings) have standards.
As soon as you compared woodle to BotW, I got a hyrule warriors ad

This may be the first time I'm interested in a sponsor article, the switch feels really uncomfortable when it gets hot, like my hands get itchy

Dissapointed that Watermelon Party was not included in this video. easily one of the top ten games on the switch.
With $100 you can buy a lot of awful games on the switch

"You can blow up birds in this game!"

Watch the Nicky game become the new “Getting Over It”
That golf ball game has some real Bennett Foddy vibes.
Ant is like a creepypasta mc: He shouldn't play the weird looking, but curiosity makes him do it anyway
Wow, I went in this to laugh at some absolute garbage (which I did) but ended up mostly coming away impressed by Woodle Tree's glow-up from 1 to 2. Kudos to the folks at ChubbyPixel for polishing up the sequel and hope they continue to improve.
