That last shot of the little building by the path was where I camped on my first night backpacking across England! I can't believe how long it took you to get there! My cheat of starting at the most westerly point of the tidal Thames clearly saved me a LOT of walking 😜
🤣 the bit over the closed bridge made me think of my arlesey video with the disappearing bridge. It would have been side splitting if you had done something similar at that point 😅
Cameras under the bridge by the M25 at Runnymede, that could be my fault.... When I was a kid back in the 80's, myself and friends tied a rope to the railing on the edge of the A30/M25 Junction and hung it to the river. We would swing from the bank out into the water. We would also climb the long swooping supports and jump in...
LOL maybe. Looks like a great space to shelter though, or camp...I am guessing they want to stop that. Or graffiti (if so they don't seem to be succeeding on that front). Sounds dangerous!
When I did the Cape Wrath trail the bridge to Glenfinnan was closed and they just postpone the date by putting a sticker on the old one. That year I didn't finish so on my second try it was still closed and they had given up changing the completion dates lol. Anyway I just crossed it both times and so did most others I talked to.
Am I allowed to make a joke about the quantity of vanish needed to remove staines from the Thames? 🤔😜 I am a dad, so I think I have the right to such a poor dad joke 😉
Mine are apparently Uncle Jokes according to my godson, which are far worse than Dad jokes! But you'd need a LOT of Vanish. Would be a worthy job though..
Thanks for the concern, but I have seen a doctor. I have eczema which causes wind burn, hence my face being red, and I had been walking for over a week in the sun and wind at this point. Also my phone makes it look worse than it is.
Enjoyed this and will be watching the rest of your content!
Thank you - and welcome!

At least 100 miles, yes! ;-)

This route doesn't need my help with disappearing bridges...as you will see.... :-(

LOL I am not surprised. From the look of the bridge(s) that were out, most of them were passable, it seems like they were being super cautious.
