Making a LONG BOW from Leaf Spring (With simple Tools)

Making A Long bow from an old Leaf Spring. Using mainly just an angle grinder.
This is a project I've wanted to do for a long time, and my god i'm super happy how it turned out!

Plain stock removal is sooooo waistefull, could have used a third of that spring, forged it out, and saved cutting wheels, grinding disks and belts and a LOT of steel. Not to mention make it a lot lighter.

Hey, you mind shedding some light on the heat treating of something like this? I know little on the subject and am thinking of trying something like that but don't want to come out with a bow that breaks on me cause I made it too brittle!
