Great Western Railway No. 7 (built at Swindon in 1923 and named Owain Glyndŵr in British Railway days) and No. 8 (built at Swindon in 1923 and named Llywelyn in British Railway days) are captured double headings at the front a mixed train of passenger and freight vehicles on the top section of the railway near Devils Bridge.
We also see the pair of locomotives working solo on passenger stock at other locations along the railway.
The Vale of Rheidol Railway, a narrow gauge railway with a track gauge of 1 ft 11 3⁄4 in, is one Great Little Trains of Wales. These scenes of a steam hauled freight train was captured on the Bob Branch / David Williams organised ‘Heaven Again’ photographic charter.
