    amzn.to/3BbIFKf - Here is another cheaper lagun table, I have not tried this one.

    Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
    Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
    Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
    However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
    RV tours / walkthroughs
    Camping destinations
    Hiking
    RV modifications & DIYs
    RV Cooking
    And much more…..
    So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.

    Ruby, I have a lot of respect for you and what you've done to this RV. I saw the video showing your pre-delivery inspection and had it been me, I would have walked away. I guess, never get rid of a Benz because of a few dents! I'm still torn between the Sanctuary and the Airstream Interstate 19. Your videos are very informative and I have been watching everything I can on class B rigs. I have seen a few videos from other people, questioning the quality control of the Thor Sanctuary/Tranquility - specifically the mounting of the cabinets and water leaks. What is your experience? Are these problems common or is it a YMMV? I have shied away from the Thor product as a result of the possible problems. I wold appreciate your insider view. Thanks for the good work you do and love your mods!

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +2

      I have owned two B-class RVs in the past 12 months and have had a few minor quality issues but nothing that I was not able to take care of myself. I have not had any major quality issues such as the cabinet falling and I have only heard of one case of that happening. I have however had two water issues. One was a simple connection that needed to be tightened while the other was a small hole in the tank that was easily repaired with some flex seal. My advice is to complete a very thorough PDI on any RV, demand any findings to be fixed before signing any papers, walk away on any RV that has larger issues and that should ensure that you get a good RV. Thanks for Watching!

      Thank you for the links! Very helpful! Again, great video! My wife and I are out in our van traveling through Northern California and down through Nevada, Arizona and back to Southern California. Been gone for two weeks and it’s been a learning curve especially boondocking to figure how all the power, solar and other things work out. Actually, it’s all been good but there’s some things we want to change out (like adding lithium batteries instead of the AGM batteries if possible ). But all is working well so far. A few standouts are the fridge and Truma heating/ hot water systems. Been in the 30s at night and the Truma is exceptional.

      @@Andy-ec9yn Sounds like you are having a great time learning the new RV! Make sure you get some professional advice when changing out the batteries as you may want to change out the inverter and change some of the settings within the solar charging system. Thank you for the helpful video, Ms. Ryker. How do you feel about the cassette toilet? Is the capacity limiting? Will it provide more options for emptying, such as in a home bathroom? Could you please provide the width of the bed? I would like to know if I also could sleep sideways. Does the bed have sufficient memory foam to be comfortable on its own, or do you require a topper? Have you had any quality issues with the van yet? Thank you.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +1

      I have had no issues with the cassette toilet so far, but I have not used it very much yet. The benefit with the cassette toilet is that you have many options for emptying. The width of the bed is 68" and I can sleep sideways as I am 5'4". The bed could benefit from extra cushioning, however I do not have one right now. As for quality issues, yes I have had a few but nothing that would make me regret my purchase. Thanks for Watching!

    • @Adventure-Mom

      The Lithium option does allow the AC to be run off the battery through an inverter however the batteries only last a few hours before needing to be recharged. I do not have a checklist but most dealerships will give you a checklist during the PDI. It is important that you check everything on that list and not just let the sales person blow through the list. Also, I like to pretend as if I am using the RV and I turn on and try everything even if it takes hours. Check out my video's that I have done on PDI inspections. Thanks for Watching!

    I am thinking if I should spending more money on lithium batteries or having a generator which is a more cost-effective? Can you give me some advise?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +1

      My opinion is that I would not spend the money on the lithium package as here in FL I need to run the AC and the lithium option would only last 2-3 hours before needing to be recharged. Most Lithium packages have some type of alternator / generator connected to the engine to charge the lithium batteries. Which means you need to run the engine to charge the batteries. Why not just have a generator to start with? A generator seems more effective to me and you get to save money. Also, the non-lithium has a 200 watt solar panel capable of running the refrigerator and keeping the AGM batteries topped off. Thanks for Watching!

      The tire carrier was purchased from Owl Vans: (owlvans.com/collections/vs30/products/owl-tire-carrier-for-sprinter-van-2020-revel-2019-sprinter-vs30). They have UA-cam instruction videos on the installation and it was fairly easy for me to do. I was nervous about drilling a hole into the door, but they have really done a very good job with the instructions. The one I purchased was the steel one and cost around $700 however I am not sure they sell that one anymore. They do sell the same thing but made from aluminum and costs around $1200. There are expensive, but well worth the money IMO. Let me know if you have any other questions and Thanks for Watching!

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому

      It really depends on the dealership and what they have in stock at the time. The P is sometimes more expensive as the layout seems to be preferred a bit over the L. My opinion is that the P has a better bedroom layout as I am not a fan of the platform bed and I like the bathroom layout better in the P as well but it really depends on your preferences. Also, price depends on if you are buying the Lithium power option or the generator. Here I prefer the generator as I live in FL and the lithium batteries drain quickly with the AC on. Careful with that microwave so high. When you have hot liquid and have the microwave mounted so high, it is easy to remove the vessel that holds the liquid (like a soup or something) and as you remove it, your arms naturally fold and so it is easy to dump the hot liquid on you. This is why you never see a microwave mounted so high in a kitchen.

That's why most of the larger OEM manufacturers don't use it. This is the reason I would only buy a van from a custom builder at this point.
