Balling hard with his pants almost falling. Rajon was a blessing, the kind of player who will stay in minds regardless of rings and awards.
😂 lmao
His pants falling.
I remember when my buddy was in slippers busting everyone's ass at the court

Prime Rondo is one of the best PG’s ever
I never been this high holy moly
Yeah and prime Jason Kidd and Tony Parker too
No he’s not
@@kilionduke5776 who was better
@@Leon-or5go no one
Looking at how Rondo was being guarded during this series while showing how effective he can still be is a testament to how underrated he was man.
hes guarded like draymond at the perimeter lmfao
@@TH-cx2yx so wtf that has to do with anything that I said? 44 points, but being guarded like Draymond? Casual bum 😂
facts yet there’s a man who gets played the same way and is damn near 7 feet called ben simmons ain’t doing any of this
📍
@@lonzoslump2714to be fair Ben actually has done this, when Embid was out he’s had 40 point games. He can playz
It's amazing how the game has changed so much. They were leaving Rondo open for a 3 but barely any attempts. A lot of the plays were done inside the 3-point line. I miss this style of NBA so much. Curry really changed the game in such a short period.
There's always going to be a lot of ways to be effective in the NBA. There are still killers inside the arc. Rondo was strange even then for his lack of consistent three point shot. He still dominated.
Jimmy Butler, Demar Derozen, etc. still dominate the game without shooting a lot of threes. You just have to be able to hit some when you're wide open.
people talk about Giannis not being able to shoot but he won a chip and 2 mvps with no jumper! I been saying this for years, you just have to be willing to let it go make or miss!@@user-dc7um4pr3f
That didn’t have anything to do with the game back then, he wasn’t shooting 3s because he wasn’t a good/confident shooter.
That was the Heat's gameplan. Leave Rondo open, let him make a shot. Props to Rondo tho, he made them. I think the Heat wouldn't do this if he has a consistent jumpshot. It's like how the NBA guard Westbrook now lol Make him a jumpshooting guy.
In 2020 they tried that and he shot 43% from 3!!!
PRIME RONDO was a different breed
6'1 with a 6'10 wingspan. He is one of the unique PG i've seen.
Yep, Cedric Maxwell used to comment about Rondo's uniqueness all the time on the radio broadcasts.
This man is saggin while hoopin, you know he finna get buckets, this a hood classic 😂💯
I’m weak 😂😂
@@ripslobe2100 😂😂😂
Weak to my stomache 😂
This team was so fun to watch. Prime Rondo at his best, I didn't appreciate it as much as now. Rondo played God mode against one of the toughest teams ever.
I often come back just to watch the highlights of this just to think Rondo by himself almost pulled off one of the greatest upsets by almost defeating a super team that featured a prime Lebron and a prime Wade I don't know even think Rondo know how inspiring he was in this game to fans and those who were against him honestly he made them respect his game even more
Prime LeBron but definitely not prime Wade. Wade was dealing with knee issues at this point in his career. Still a very good player but not prime.
@@Cardiakk that was the last years of prime wade
@Lay-K47 Not even close. Wade could barely stay on the court those years but was still highly effective when he could.
It wasn’t an upset. Maimi heat had a weaker bench. Rondo was in his prime, Wade was injured, Celtics had the big 3 still. It was very possible for the bulls, Celtics, pacers to bet the heat.
Idk I would say Rondo was by himself..
This was the Rondo I always hated to like💯 But he was/is the definition of a real PG
Prime rondo at its finest
Prime rondo was the best PG in the league his toughest, his attitude, passing ability, ability to control the game and make other players around him better was unlike anyone else
Underrated handle too
@@kanyecrazy7440 Yep
This my childhood
Man… I remember being in high school watching this man run circles around defense. Making it look easy. Very underrated point god. His iq was mad crazy. Loved the squad and energy
Rondo is a solidified HOF. Was one of my favorite players back in the day!
Dude iq is amazing at this time he was a kid an learned this fast to be a leader people say Paul was the leader but he wasn’t
Kid? He was 26 years old in 2012.
@@reddish8692 When he won the chip he was a kid
Rondo became the leader after the chip. KG was the heart.
If his iq was high he would've learned how to shoot. He was so bad that teams wouldn't even bother guarding him near the 3.
@@manonoue5608nah he was a grown ass man
Rondo is my favorite player of all time loved watching this guy play
Imagine how many 3s Garnett would’ve hit if he learned to not put that lead foot so far out when taking his jumpshot. Luckily he didn’t need it to be legendary
he always used to shoot long 2s lmfaooo
Playoff Rondo is superb! One of my Top PG on any nba 2k
Also had a triple double (22-14-10) in game 7
Avgd 21-11-7-2 for the series
Rajon Rondo 🔥🔥🔥
Still watching 💪💪💪 July 19, 2o23
I watched this game i couldn’t believe it as a Celtics fan
Game a hood classic
he didn't win the series but he won our hearts forever
rondo is so unappreciated man people didn’t pay any attention to him because of kg and the others but he could do almost just as much as them for the team
Rondo was so clutch.
Today Rajon Rondo officially announced his retirement. You were the best point guard of my generation. Hope to see you at the hall of fame.
miss this rondo
oh how i miss this era of nba . i dont even watch ball anymore its just not the same
They leave him out the best PG conversation. Idk why. My favorite.....
They missed a call near the end of this game, Rondo drove and got hit on the head by Wade but got a no call and got a free fast break at the other end and took the lead that’s why they ended up going down like that and Rondo had to shoot those 2 three’s to keep them in the game
fax
Glad someone mentioned that. That non-call may or may not have changed the outcome but it was such a blatant whack across the face and yup Miami raced right down and scored in the fast break. I’m still salty about it bc the Celtics lost this one in OT but won the next 3 in a row
one of the smartest players, hes playin chess the whole time
Ronda jus a different breed
The greatest PG 🏀🏀🏀👏🔥🔥🔥
Rajon Rondo gained my Respect when he continued to Play with a Broken Arm against Miami Heat.
Watching these highlights make me appreciate the mid-range game.
This was the game where I became a basketball fan. Been a Celtics fan ever since.
I think his best game ever, underrated shooter/scorer-
rondo is one of the true floor general PG, unlike other scoring PG
It trips me out how LeBron won a ring with both Ray Allen and rondo
Yep, and he wouldn't have won his second without Ray's buzzer beater, and in 2020 the best player on that Lakers team wasn't Lebron, it was AD and Rondo was in playoff mode.
@@jamespenny9482Yeah it's almost like Basketball is a team game. Every superstar that has ever won an NBA finals benefited from big time plays by role players/secondary players. Welcome to the concept of team sports.
@@jeremybamgbade Oh a Lebron fan, one of them?
@@jamespenny9482 who got finals mvp?
@@jamespenny9482 2020 was more 1A-1B. LeBron was the focal point of the offense and played PG that season, leading the league in assists and finishing 2nd in MVP to Giannis who also won DPOY. Both him and AD were fantastic in the playoffs and LeBron was better in the Finals, nod goes to LeBron. He set up AD with so many easy looks all season long via his playmaking skills. AD was close but Bron was still the better player.
Rajon Rondo is the most lethal Playmaking Point Guard under 6 foot i have ever seen in there prime.
Remember watching this live didn’t expect rondo to be hitting 3s like he did in this game
This dude gave LeBron fits. He said it himself. This Rondo was absolutely God mode. And if wasn't for two missed calls they win this game. Because Wade fouled him and LeBron fouled and it cost them this game.
Always a Rondo fan.
Actually if it wasn't for 45 15 and 5
When I saw 44 points Rondo I cant believe it
Prime national Tv Rondo was as if his normal version got a mega evolution or some shit. Dude was as good as any point guard in the league when it mattered from 2010-2012
I like how ray Allen always had his own personal squadron coming after him every time he shot and then rondo is just getting open layup midis
5:33 i dont know what lebron's doing hahahaha
LeCoach was just scouting their plays
If Rondo could have developed a consistent jumper like he had in this game, he'd have easily been the best PG in the game. He was already top 3 at this point even without a consistent jumper.
Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Steve Nash, Tony Parker
@@evankale4404 Rondo, Rose, and Paul were pretty clearly the top 3 PGs at the time of this game.
@@evankale4404 this was 2012, Nash and Williams isn't as good anymore. TP and Rondo is debatable tho
Facts. After this year, the next year was his year to take an even bigger step
@@evankale4404 Yeah, and Rondo was better than all of 'em.
Funny thing abt rondo is that he slows everything down in the half court everything is precise and patient
He’s rly good to decide what pace he wants his teams to play as
I always come back to this because I'll never forget my big cousin being sarcastic telling me "Rondo would have to drop 40 tonight if they want to beat miami" and rondo ass really went out there and dropped 44 but they still lost. As a celtic fan, i never forgave them for wasting an All time performance like that. Idc that they didn't win the series but they should have atleast won that game
Playoff Rondo is legendary
Rondo at his very best is a top 3 point guard of all time man was a true floor general
Agree 100%. Nobody could stop him, and his rebounding also sets him apart.
I agree, top 5 primes for me are Magic steph rondo westbrook and d rose, all unstoppable
If Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen were a little bit younger I think they would have beat Miami....
Fact. Also, Ainge made 2 big mistakes: Letting defensive terror Tony Allen walk in free agency after Lebron went to Miami and trading Perkins. If not for those 2 moves, they would have won in 2011 and 2012. And Wade's dirty takedown of Rondo in 2011 was also a huge factor.
facts the team was assembled just 2 years to late that 08 team was one of the best teams i ever seen the defense was incredible
@@jamespenny9482excuses
if they were younger, it wouldn't even have been close. it would have been a sweep for boston.
@@knowyourenemy50 if I hit the lottery I'd be a millionaire.
Prime Rondo was 2011-12 but the "BIG'' 3 were old
This was Rondo carrying the old guy's
Siempre escucho hablar sobre actuaciones individuales de deportistas que hacen que te enamores de un deporte. Messi y Ronaldo son claros ejemplos.
Pero este partido de Rajon Rondo me enamoro. Amo la NBA por este partido.
Definitely a top 10 True PG of all time ❗️
greatest shooting point guard ever
If rondo was a slightly above average shooter and shot creator, he would’ve been an absolute boogie man. The things he’s managed to do at that 1 position without a scary enough 3 ball is insane.
He busted some asses in this game. 44 -10-8. Man, Rondo was something else
One of the best pg of all time!
The real point god.
If rondo had even a half consistent outside shot he would be in convo for best pg ever
All that hard work to not only lose the game but also the series in 7....then to see your teammate RAY ALLEN join the Miami Heat that summer and go on to win another chip. 😂 😂 😂
Probably should’ve guarded LeBron in game 6
wat a funny comment
Basketball IQ is unmatched
With all those stars on the court, randomness the best multiple times
Prime Rondo🧏🏾♂️
miss this era had to go back and watch the artistry of the great rajon rondo
Prime rondo and drose as my fav players 🤌🏾
😢 this was my childhood
Bro is just a different player during the playoffs. I remember his performance in 2020 Lakers, he was shooting the lights out during the playoffs.
absolute definition of a pure point guard!
Why people act like this Boston team wasn't a super team. They didn't draft Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett
Out of all the Celtics squads w/ KG & Pierce from 2008-2013 this one was my favorite. Everyone wrote them off as washed and too old and they still damn near pulled off the major upset. Riley would have for sure split up the Heat Big 3 that summer if they lost in the ECF.
I remember this game y’all the dude couldn’t miss he was possessed this game🫡
His is one of the best
CP3 never produced like this in the playoffs like playoff Rondo
Tell it!
That’s a blatant lie lmao
The nba changed so much now it’s just high pick n roll . This game is actually good coaching and sets . Miss this nba
Van Gundy, "You're not gonna see an NBA player play much better than what you've seen tonight"
Also had 3 steals in that game, he was a beast.
Rondo dropping 40 is so crazy😂
Prime Rondo was deadly
Rondo got SMACKED by Wade attempting a layup in OT and there was no call and the heat take the ball and score 5 on 4.
If that doesn’t happen Celtics are champs!
4:44 shows dis man was on sum 💯
Showing all basketball nation da 1and only real floor general ma brethren Rajon Rondo LUV ❤ALONE ❤RASTAFORI
Rondo was the only reason they were there the fact that numbers is the argument to how good a player was or their impact is simplistic thinking cause if you remember correctly that team was gutted because of injury and age but still got that far.
Miami only won this game because the refs missed the goaltending call on Lebron on a Rondo layup.
What a man~
GOAT!!!!!
Pure point guard
This was the game where the series was won. Boston needed to seal this one because it never got easier. Especially after game 5
Heat: Let Rondo go off and nobody else and we’ll win
NBA fans 10 years later: OMG what an unstoppable legend!
And some people say he was overrated
legit point god
Quolity of his play is very high, top PG of his time
Chris Paul is better
Rondo hates the Heat…he flat out said he would never play for them
If they call that foul on wade at the end of the game celtics win this series in 5, and lebron never has that game 6 game.
rondo looked like them big ass shorts was going to fall down 😂😂
Most creative passer ever besides Magic
Fast forward to this era...leaving a guard open will hurt you
