Hey, thanks for showing my game (The Adventures of Gorm). I have been subscribed to you for years now, so it was a surprise to see my game in your video 🙂
I believe you are the first one to ever pick it up 👍❤️
Hey, It's been a nice project to follow the progress of so I'm happy to cover it. I'll be trying to follow the spider animation tutorials you're releasing at the moment to see if I can up my animation game a little!!
This is an excellent series thanks for bringing exposure to these developers
Always nice to see stuff that is not being shown on "mainstream" video game coverage much.
Great to hear. I figured people already know about the next Kingdom Heart or Witcher game being made with it...
Nice concept for a video!
Thank you. I'll try to keep them coming.
Nice selection! I knew already about Snacko, didn't know it was made with Unreal!
Yeah, the 2D characters were an interesting choice for unreal but it is getting popular. I remember seeing your channel in the past, I hope you're able to post more soon.
@@DevEnabled Thank you! I am a bit busy developing Kitori Academy, the game I am making and that takes all my time!
good video thanks
Thanks. More to come
Great games! We need to get on this list!
I thought so. I hope to continue making these videos so keep at it and who knows.
The quality looks great in these though. No pressure anyone
Haha, just needed to raise that bar for everyone a little.
Oh boy, that "Certain Individual" game is out finally!
Certain individual? Have I unknowingly promoted an unsavoury dev?
@@DevEnabled no, lol you got me wrong! I was waiting for the game to come out. I mean who doesn't want to have the John Wick experience :P
I just used the word "Certain Individual" because you used it (Certain long haired, action movie hitman).
Sorry for the wording/confusion.
@@messiah001 Haha, now worries. My bad for being slow. I see what you mean.
Felt I had to check as you never know anymore...
hi i makeing 2D game from unreal i want make quest systyem but i even don't know how can i start for makeing quest systyem can you make toturail about this ❤
Does someone have experience with UE4 or UE5 on not so slow laptops?
I have 9300H, 1650, 16gb ram, 1080p laptop. And it struggles in some UE games. Even Fortnite on low setting gives 60-70 fps.
But I think I also played Little Nightmares 2 on this laptop and it was fine.
So I think is it enough to make open world games? Or should I stick to small levels? Can I downgrade UE5 graphics so much that my game could be played on slow PCs? Or should I switch to Unity?
turn off real time, turn off post processing on project setting, use scalable graphics, turn on DDC, use UE 5.1 the new shader compile on demand made life so much easier, i have I7 7700, GTX 1060AmpQ 6GB, 16GB DDR4 and two SSD it runs well on most low poly projects and small arcviz project.
Great video, I think unreal engine is the right engine to use in 2023. I have used unity for 11 years and have been transitioning into unreal for the last 2 years. Unreal is the engine for any game you want to make.
It's not perfect but it's definitely getting hard to argue against using it. I was only a Unity dev for about 3-4 years when I made the switch and I'm sure a lot has changed since then.
whatever your first engine is, unreal will be your eventual selection.
@@devatsdb7 Saw a tweet being shared round the other day by a dev who I guess wanted to make their day harder. Made me laugh though.
"The game engine you start with doesn't matter.
You can always go to Unreal later."
@@DevEnabled ya saw that too..haha..funnily enough i have two big project that undergo similar situation, that made me laugh in derision when my employer doesn't listen to my suggestion after lengthy brainstorming to select Unreal engine as unity HDRP seems so finicky.
@@devatsdb7 Hope that still works out for you. I've seen some impressive stuff from Unity HDRP projects too. Just need some spare time to dive back into Unity and see what's going on.
