In today's episode I'll show you two very cool and hidden features that every 2020 C8 Corvette owner should know about. One of them has to do with the instrument light panel similar to Night Panel or black out panel in airplanes and old Saabs, and the other will allow you to access the service mode. I cannot get my navigation up on my new c8. I’m getting a message that the sd card has been removed. Makes no sense to me Help please. Don think it comes with an sd card.
Is your C8 a 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT trim? Navigation was only standard in the 2 and 3LT cars. If you have a 1LT you will have to purchase the Navigation SD card, or just plug in your phone and use CarPlay or Android Auto. I haven't tried but you can probably buy one on eBay for a Tahoe or Suburban from 2021 for about $70 to $100. If it doesn't work you can always return it.
Where and how do you lower the outside lmirrors on the outside of a 2020 Corvette and a Siri button do you need to push oh what do you do to do this
Hi Hubert, for Siri you press and hold the talk button for more than 2 seconds and as long as your iphone is plugged in you should hear the Siri voice vs the Chevy nav voice. For the mirrors, you have controls right above the window switches. You select L or R for left or right mirrors, then use the up down arrows on that round pad to make adjustments.

cool thanks for the video. if battery is low and I have it in service mode or acc, will it turn off by itself since bat is low?
They have some safety measures built in to prevent the battery from draining. However, they all have a limit where no matter what it can still die. Best thing to do is try to keep it on your battery tender from Chevrolet. It’s only $140 and saves your battery.
How do you raise and lower the outside mirrors for storage when you’re driving into a garage and is there a switch to do this
Depending on your trim like 1LT vs 2LT vs 3LT, Folding mirrors are an option. You will have a button below the adjustment wheel to manually fold them. You can also set it for when you lock the doors to auto fold the mirrors, but you have to have the option of Folding Mirrors. For the mirrors to auto point down in reverse for the example, you can set this in the menu as well.
Great info thanks for posting. I have a question about my c8 just bought 7/22. When incoming phone calls ring. It's incredibly loud. I've turned ringer on my cell down to very low. It made zero difference with the speakers making the ringer loud. Had my stereo turned low enough to not even here music and my phone ringer very low. Still a deafening volume on incoming calls. Any idea on how to adjust incoming phone ringer volume. Haven't found anything yet. Thanks myan and the car is beautiful. I went with hypersonic gray
Normally as the phone is ringing (must be ringing, so have someone call you and be in the car) try adjusting the radio volume down and see if that helps. While in a call you can also adjust the voice levels with the radio knob. Let me know if that works.

You know I'm not sure if that's an option. I know coordinates are included.
I'm not exactly sure what you've driven, but there are four positions on a car with key start, you can look it up.
Put the key in at OFF position, turn fully clockwise to the START position. Once you release the key, the key automatically rotates back one detent to the ON or RUN position. If you turn it clockwise, and stop and the detent for ON or RUN and don't rotate clockwise into START. ONLY this is the maintenance mode. This allows every feature to test, tests all dash indications, allows air conditioning to run, etc.
This is the most important part. ACC mode ONLY allows operstion of the radio, no a/c, no dash lights, and this is why people used to forget they put their car in acc position. Accessory (ACC) position is either one detent back, counterclockwise from OFF, or one detent clockwise from OFF, between OFF and ON/RUN positions. ACC never turned on the dsshlights or a/c or operated power windows on cars manufactured during the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2,000s. I have a manual 2013. Without the clutch depressed, one push button is ACC, two consecutive presses of the button is ON/RUN and then a long press of the button while depressing the clutch will stsrt the car.
I am only referring to non-exotics. Porsches were this way, Corvettes, Lotus Esprits, just to include expensive but no exotic.
Look up ANY ignition lock cylinder, not push button, tell me how it's always been the way you desribe. And I've NEVER heard it referred by mechanics as MAINTENENCE MODE. Every dash indication is illuminated, so how do you know what's wrong. You need ty to hook up an OBDII Scanner to get true maintenance data. It only makes sense it needs to be in ON position to get this data.
I keep all my cars interior lights turned up to Max. Dont care to drive around and not see the dash.

You don’t show what button to push to dim lights
It is on the know to adjust brightness/dimness. turn it all the way to off mode. its on the left side of the driver by the HUD buttons
