Jessica Pettway just passed away at 36 because she was misdiagnosed with fibroids when in fact it was cervical cancer. Please everyone get 2nd and 3rd opinions before taking their word for it. Blessings and love sisters!
Good afternoon Resa! Talk about fibroids!! I had fibroids the size of a 4 month pregnancy! I took Lupron for three months which stopped my periods and shrank the fibroids. After that I opted for a hysterectomy with hormone therapy. I was up and down emotionally until the right dosage was figured out. It was a journey and in 2011 I was found to have hormone related breast cancer and I had a double mastectomy to safeguard any other spreading. God has blessed me through it all.🙏🏽🙏🏽 We just don’t know what our bodies will go through. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
I know the feeling Resa. I' m going through it at the moment and I have all the symptoms. Papitations are no joke, palpitations comes and goes, and waking me up out of my sleep and heart racing fast. I had to get my heart checked to make sure that I was good, heart was monitored for 3 days. I'll be 54 next month. Perimenopausl is miserable and exhausting! I also deal with a sluggish thyroid so I'm really screwed!!!!!....smh.....My poor husband too, he's trying to understand. Thank you Resa!
Very relevant topic. I have learned a lot the past few months. I only wish I had a lot of this knowledge back in my mid-to-late thirties. Thanks, Resa for using your platform to increase awareness and to educate others.
I had uterine fibroids surgery two years ago to shrink my fibroids. The doctor suggested I do this instead of having a hysterectomy. My doctor told me my heavy cycles came from having iron deficiency anemia due to fibroids so he prescribed me iron tablets. I’m also on a Mediterranean diet to regulate my hormones and high blood pressure.
Im going to say the blood pressure and diabetics happened after hysterectomy i had it done at 31 now 55 and its been a struggle sex drive was completely gone around 35 ...now i listen to my body and i let the doctors know what and how im feeling not what they want to tell me what im feeling ..my health issues are valid since hysterectomy....dont give up and dont stop speaking up loudly for yourselves ..blessings to everyone
To God be the glory .sister Resa I went through a lot of the same things. What helped me was self help books that joined diet and mental health . What you are saying is so true. I will be 70 in July. A good book is the wisdom of menopause.
Good morning watching from California, I'm going through it I haven't had a period since 46yrs.old , wow everything you've said I'm going through its, I will be 65 yrs old in two months if the Lord says the same 🙏💜
Hi Resa - Yes indeed this was a good conversation! I've been through that and now past menopause but i had a full hysterectomy. Yes,God gave us doctors and medication to help us -wisdom. Lord, I'm 4 months late but I just ran across this particular video. It was so informative and relatable. I just wanted to ask at time during this period did you contract Covid? I ask because during my Menopausal stage I did😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭which contributed to they're calling Long Covid Syndrome or Post Covid Syndrome😭😭😭😭 Lissen!!!! The penny taste, hyper or nonexistent olfactory issues, fatigue, muscle spasms joint pains outta nowhere: Post Covid Syndrome.. PCS exaggerates whatever ailment that's already present in the body; especially brain fog or memory issues! Chile,I thought it was early DEMENTIA..I just wanted to share my experiences with you and others as a possible avenue to explore with your physician especially when they don't know what's going on. May TMH continue to Bless you and your family ❤🎉
Thank you for sharing. I have been going through this for over 14 years. The worst has been on the past year and a half. I hope everything is getting better for you.

Hey Resa, Happy Thursday. I can relate to everything you’re talking about, I have gone through all or most of the symptoms you mentioned and still going through. No money in cures
So glad you and Sister Gina shared your testimonies, I’m going through as well I just completed iron infusion myself, been dealing with cycle troubles past few years I’m currently in medication that has helped I’m being monitored to hold out on the hysterectomy right now we as women definitely need to talk about this it’s very important because everybody situation is different, I pray for all going through and get the clarity and answers you need 🙏 thank you Beautiful Sis ♥️♥️
I also had heavy irregular cycles due to fibroids. Unknown to me at first I had no clue. I went for a vaginal ultrasound n it was the worst pain, only to find out yes I had fibroids. Long story short I had a hysterectomy and the surgery was the best thing to happen to me. 3 week recovery and the doctor did mines through the vagina. I also was drained feeling like I was hemorrhaging during my cycles. I’m glad that’s over
Hey 👋 I was listening to you and wanted to share my experience with fibroids. I recently had a procedure called Uterine Ablation which removed the fibroids from my uterus . I did not have a hysterectomy so my uterus tubes and ovaries are still in my body. I am 54 yrs old now and was having complications from heavy cycles for years before I had the procedure in June 2023. Hope this helps anyone considering treatment options.
Resa you are so awesome! You’re not alone! I’m your same age and have been in perimenopause for couple years now. The sleepless nights and joint pain and weight gain can go now!!
Hi resa, I had ten fist size fibroid and had to have surgery to remove them and I have never felt so much better , I had a hard time dealing with the pain as well.
I had hysterectomy in 1989 and now I am 71. Kept my ovaries. The best thing happen to me. Sex drive is great. I had high blood pressure when I had surgery.
Hi Resa I had fibroids and I had them removed and this menopause ain’t no joke my hot are not as bad as they use to be cause I was flashing I believe every hour but in tha winter I don’t as much but we shall see how this summer is going to be and tha weight gain is terrible I have started exercising and trying to eat better cause I look at food and I gain 10lbs 😂
I had two big fibroids and would bleed like crazy, one which was a size of a grapefruit. I decided to have surgery uterus was removed.Thank God I still have my ovaries and tubes. I just don't miss the monthly time.❤
Gm, I went through that at age 34. If you go to your OB-GYN Doctor they have cream and a shot that you can take to build up your labito. But you have to tell them that you know this The shot is Once a month. I am 66 years old.
I know all so well what you're going through. As far as the weight gain try taking probiotics which is really good for you as well as magnesium at night. God's blessings to you, hope you really get all the help and correct information you need that's for you to get through this period in your life. 🙏🏽🩷
