Hello Friends! Today’s video is my basement laundry area makeover. I’m so excited to finally be sharing this area of my vintage home with you. When we first moved in the basement area as a whole was so gross and dingy. I wanted to makeover the laundry area but didn’t have a lot of money to spend. The whole makeover cost around $200.00 or less and I did this by thrifting and using things I already had.

That is so cute! My grandmother always made her ironing board covers out of old sheets. She used an old blanket inside for the padding.

That was a lot of work on both of your parts. I'm very impressed. It turned out darling. It's so 60s very very nice! My husband is the same as yours always willing to get involved with an idea and go along for the ride. It's so much more fun when the husbands help. I must say, the job you did on the stairs looks very professional. It is always amazing to see what a person can do on a budget when needed. It is a wonderful job!

Ok for the pipes and the electrical box I would make a drape from one of your matching sheets and hang it from top the the bottom of the floor so it looks more natural no need to try to cover it with board.
Great idea! I did actual tried doing that, but sadly because of how many pipes and ducts there was no way to hang it without having to hang it really low and thus not actually covering the area fully. Thanks for watching and the suggestion 😊

All you have to do is get a container of either a matte or gloss finish of sealer for acrylic paint can get at Michaels or Home Depot any hardware store might have it. I would paint your washer too don't be afraid of paint. I buy alot of my furniture from Goodwill and paint it all the time.
Definitely not afraid of paint 😂 I’ve painted our entire house, decks and tons of furniture. Like I mentioned in the video I didn’t bother with a seal because the dryer doesn’t work that well so we will be getting a new one and I didn’t want to waste money on sealing it.
It all turned out amazing!!:)
