I'm sure these HBCUs also rejected some applicants.
Getting into any college is a competition.😂😂. If you don't win any competition, it does not mean anybody hates you. It just means you should work harder. Of course you can go to a lower league to compete there if you are unwilling to work hard. Good luck.

How many scholarships have HBCU's given to white students? I'd bet none and the handful of white students enrolled at hbcu are most likely paying full tuition. White people are definitely not welcome and treated like family in black spaces as you call it. If that was true then interracial violent crime statistics wouldn't show that the overwhelming majority of homicide in interracial cases are black killing white people and the same holds true for every other type of violent crime. If white people were treated like family then black people wouldn't fight against gentrification of majority black cities and oddly enough at the same time fight for desegregation of communities and schools to get into white spaces. America is more segregated now than ever because black people are the opposite of what you claim to white people. If we were treated like family then white flight wouldn't be occurring again like in the past when historical white cities like Detroit, Chicago, NYC, Compton and many others went through it when blacks migrated from the south. No race wants into black communities or spaces and any amount of research proves that.

College and professional sports were around and successful long before black athletes were allowed to integrate into white leagues and would continue to be successful without you. Professional sports revenue is generated overwhelming by white fans and their purchases of tickets, merchandise and streaming services to view games along with white team owners. Same with the music industry, how many hip hop artists have openly said their crowds are always predominantly white people. Americans want to watch sports and if none of the players are black so be it, people are just looking to be entertained. Only black athletes would be hurt by playing sports at an hbcu and the lack of competition and facilities not to mention no funding or national attention. Who is gonna support your all black College football conference? The white, Asian, Indian and Latin population of America won't because of lack of interest in sports or their love of other sports. So the black community which is 12 percent of Americas population is going to be fully responsible and of that 12 percent you gotta factor in the elderly, children, incarcerated, poverty stricken and people that just aren't into sports. So now 5 percent gotta buy tickets to every game both College and pro and buy billions a year in team merchandise and pay for 4 different streaming services to view games at home. Never gonna happen

The Federal Government needs to make sure that these schools are receiving the CORRECT funding from the state. They need to create a program in which HBCU's are reporting back to the Feds about the amount of money they are actually receiving from the states they are in. If it's not what they should be getting. Penalize the state they are in financially.

That last part is unconstitutional. Each state in the union pays into the tax pool. You cannot deny my state funding based on how we allocate tax revenue. In states like Georgia, where over 80 percent of our public university budget comes from private fundraisers, the state has less leverage in telling the board how where to put money. It’s based on enrollment. If you want more money, attract more students. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Hispanics have their own colleges and universities, that get special grants set aside for them, for being at least 25% or more Hispanic. It's called the 'Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities' or HSI's (Hispanic Serving Institutions) The "Brown" don't talk about a "Black & Brown" coalition as much as 'Black' people do. LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens), is the oldest civil rights organization for 'Hispanics'. There are several groups, non profits, for Hispanics only. Black people always try to advocate for others, more than themselves, but other groups put their own race first, while blacks constantly complain about being 'forgotten' about. Even though they always include other races in their struggles, other minorities in America, do not want to be aligned with blacks. In fact, LULAC is on record, as far back as the 50's, saying that they did not want to be included in the black civil rights struggle, and it's leader at the time, even stated that, "He doesn't know why black leaders keep including Latinos in their fight for civil rights, because we are not like them". (Paraphrase, but Google it, it is verifiable).

You nailed it! It drives me crazy when I hear blacks including Latinos in our struggles and goals because they definitely don't mention blacks with their issues. Guess what, I don't have an issue with them being mainly focused on their own people because that's what the hell we should be doing as well. We need to get on code and stay on code like everyone else period. It's bad enough that black politicians feed into that nonsense, but it should not be the norm in the black community. Dr. Clarke said," we don't have any friends." A testament to this is that scandal with the LA city council a while ago when a recording of Latino council members was leaked and they were heard conspiring against the black community. The chairperson was forces to step down do to the scandal. That was a harsh reality check to blacks about what they think of us and a reminder that there is no black and brown coalition so lets get that bs out of our head. These groups never had a problem with benefiting from our sacrifices for decades. Latinos and other minority groups want Foundational Black Americans to remain the face of civil rights so they can continue navigating in comfortable and safe spaces and continue getting as close as possible to being the Model American with the hope of getting little to no pushback from the majority. I'm literally paraphrasing remarks from a Asian community advocate that I saw on a C-SPAN segment years ago about how Asians are covered in the media. They did the same segment on the black community as well, but I was surprised to hear this Asian spokesperson call out his community for benefiting from blacks fighting for civil rights and their reluctance to get involved in anything pertaining to speaking on civil rights due to the same reasons I previously mention in this statement.

Easier said than done. Those schools are *loaded* with everything the black athletes want - money, national and international visibility, elite facilities and the best of equipment and sports medicine staffing, and plenty of opportunities for “romance”.
Hey, it is what it is. The only way to compete with that is to instill a sense of taking “less” for the greater good - and that ain’t an easy sell at *all* .
“Hey bruh, ignore that GT3 RS and come check out this new Kia Rio”
“You don’t need room-level climate control, a private bath and kitchen in your penth, I mean dorm room. Come sweat it out for the ‘cause’ and make your people proud”
      In the mid 2020s……….?!?!?! 😬😬😬

    • @EyeOfTheWatcher
      @EyeOfTheWatcher 21 день тому

The problem it going to take lawsuits to do that and depending on the funding source HBCUs can not file the cases themselves. Also, with pass lawsuits state would drag out the cases to long enough to drain the resources from people filing the lawsuits. When the Maryland HBCUs filed lawsuit, it took around many years to go through the court system and then they ended up settling for pennies on the dollar.

My wife's family, both sides, never ran over to our side after the government forced colleges to let her people in. That is NOT a welcome, at all. HBCUs are better for blacks, PWIs just mistreat them and only want the athletes and NOT the black academic students....those academic seats are held for whites in the South and whites & Asians in the rest of this country. My wife is 4th gen Tuskegee and FAMU on her paternal side, NCAT & Claflin mostly on her maternal side, and they have been generationally upper middle class even during segregation. Best kept secret, blacks graduating from top-tiered HBCUs perform BETTER than blacks that graduate from PWIs. White profs are supporting at HBCUs, they ignore them at PWIs. Truth.

HBCU’s graduates represent the best of black America and has nurtured most of of doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, including a Vice President and soon to be President of the United States. I hope more pressure is put on those states that have robbed HBCUs of the billions of dollars that they were to have been allocated. What they meant for bad has resulted in a good thing for HBCUs. Greetings Brothers and Sisters, what a journey it’s been for the Black Community and their contrast to their counterpart White America.
As everyone is aware of true knowledge comes from a Desire then that Desire turns to Action.
My thoughts are , one does not need Harvard, Yale , Princeton, Emory or whatever high class education to be successful. Am sure we are all aware of this at this point in our existence.
To further emphasize my point the valedictorian in high school or college isn’t always the most financially responsible or of High Earning …. These are words to ponder 💭 on. (Food for thought)Much blessings fellow people and Good luck!!!

Affirmative Action was an anti-discrimination law, but too many people fail to actual read the law and look into the history of the law. Even in Harvard Supreme Court case it showed that they wanted to discriminate against Asian students, but was prevent from doing so because of AA. No with it gone, Asian enrollment will drop just like in California.
