Yea they can take a little more for sure
Power is so cheap it only takes a decent coil size and motor size to get fairly loud. Who knows how it actually sounds or how long the suspension will last but budget subs are meant to be upgraded
would you recommend these over the skar vxf?
These are very good for the money and sound great. But the vxf hit the lows better and have more excursion. But both are great just depends what you like and your budget.
Most of fhe time when u run high power like the smart 3k any set of decent atleast double stack motor subs will do a 145 in the right bix size
I got 148.8 with 2 12 skar evl on 1 smart 3k clamped 4k on a burp at 37 htz

These was almost right on par with the 2 15 skar zvx i think did 145 db on smart 3 bass right ?
When I tested each single on the smart 3 the zvx did 2db more.
@@HiFiVector yeah so they was close db on same amount of power but we know those Brutus was being pushed super hard and the zvx still had a lot more power it can handle . Side note did pat send any of the recoil stuff ur way again yet he said a couple times he was but he's been super busy in the recoil warehouse organizing everything

Have you seen this cat claiming a 148 with 2 8in Sundowns at 17hz and he is floating a t-shirt he also does it with a pair of 6.5 u series
I haven’t seen that but I’m skeptical about floating a t shirt and those numbers on 2 8’s.

How do they sound on a hifonix amp
Xlnt these are xlnt sounding subs and sound great on the bg4000 and brx2400 I tried with them.
I have the bg 4000 and the sub sounds great so far, still not broke in

My taramps smart 3k dynos at 3658 rms at 2 ohm and 3105 at 1 ohm strange a smart amp prefers 2 ohm
Smart tech is used to fight box and impedance rise. how much power it does over rated for both 1 and 2 ohm is never going to be similar. its just going to do 3k+ for both 1 and 2 ohm.
Before I watch I'ma guess 148.5 I'll watch and see how close I was.
I was off about 3 db not too bad I thought I'd be atleast 147
