This is definitely the hardest 1v7 BGH, as terran D is OP and toss allows mind control. But it's of course much, much harder when they ling rush. Or even if they don't, having 2 regular toss (not the cannon bugged ones), 2 zergs, and 3 terrans far away is the hardest. For then you have to deal with zealots, which would just roll this D, and you'd have to have queens to defend against the masses of tanks for the entire game. You can't afford to get guards until you've taken out like 2-3 AI with drops first.
Interesting perspective. I think this player went for guardians maybe due to not having enough control with APM to micro queens broodlings? Having a knee-jerk reaction with range seemed to be the go-to in response to Terran siege-ing the entrance. This player was absolutely flying off the handlebars keeping up those defensive structures at the entrance, though. Lol They certainly held off the attacks well enough to win by the end (obviously). But to do this as zerg… that’s not easy.
Raccoon City, Lord of the Rings maps, madness maps, RPGs that took forever to transfer/DL to one another, Dawn of the Dead maps, Zombie Hotel, horror maps, Resident evil maps, and the list goes on and on and on...
Free for all is just mayhem, though. Melee literally sets all AI allied to each other and focuses SQUARELY on the player. It’s WAY harder this way. What this player did AS ZERG was impressive - his APM was huge to keep up with everything.
He didn't have to worry about it in this game because of the 2 bugged toss; this allowed him sufficient D to tech to guards. Without that, you have to mass 12-16 queens to take out the tanks.
Try to suggest some useful tips for his improvement then. I mean, after so many years, Starcraft I does not have a large player base anymore, and usually people who truely love this game should welcome any new/old players to join and share, whether they are good or bad in term of skills. Leaving comment like this will only push more people away, instead of making them improve.
This isn’t relevant to the discussion. You’re expressing what you would prefer to what was displayed as if that is effective criticism. If this is still about SC, then Melee is the ultimate test of skill between oneself versus 7 AI. In a free for all, there isn’t as much demand on the player to keep up.

Zerg guardians was one of my favorite zerg units. Long range and high attack, it's like a siege tank but flying lol.

I forgot how badass the Zerg race sounds. More horrendous than sc2 Zerg.
This is what I often do as well. One advice is that you try to morph the hatchery into lair and hive. Way more effective for enterance barriercade.

This dudes APM was so high that he was able to micromanage around that. But i agree it would have helped.
Actually i'd expect them to get air attack upgrades with as much as they were used. In fact two dens pumping upgrades constantly.

In broodwar, there wasn’t a way to set AI difficulty without the game being a UMS. AI difficulty was randomly assigned.

The AI did use tanks. The player countered with muta’s and guardians whenever it happened.
