Hello LEGENDS! After I made the GREASY LISHI video (link in the description) I remembered about a decade ago, amidst the media lock bumping fear-mongering, a product was invented to prevent BUMPING. And it worked. A bit of fun. A LIKE would be nice - if you like it, of course. Be lucky people, and best wishes.
Cheers Roy, I thought this would be a 3 minute video that would take about 30 minutes to make. I won't bore you with the details, but I slept for about 4 hours last night, and not just because my Mrs came over.
Cheers, MCDPoor. One day I'll write a book about what happened when lock picking met the internet. There was one Chinese business where you had to order using pictures, lol. They were very Chinesely named, 'New Sparkling'.
This has it all! Comedy, Romance, left speechless… filling a lock full of grease😳. That has to be awesome storing that key in your purse or pocket. Got to imagine that grwased key getting on stuff🤷🏼😝‼️
Hello mate. Oh, I have had a few gypsy keys in my time, but nothing 'hinged, that sounds like fun. They were like a key cut in half along the thinner axis of a key. There's a further development of the gypsy key called a Tricerakey, you can find them here: lockpickingforensics.com/articles/keystothefarm.pdf Nice idea, and I like messing around with such things, but a decent set of rakes is always going to be preferable for me.
@@LockPickingLegend Cool yeah they were like that but the thinner axis had a lip and little spring and you flicked it like an early pick gun springy fingy!
The media really boosted the interest in lock picking with their whole moral panic. Which was lucky because I didn't have any money for marketing then. I didn't even have enough money for clean underwear. Wait...what? Have a good weekend.
Yo! Spazmatron. There were certainly mixed messages in that marketing video, which is sometimes very effective is you can leave the viewer feeling scared, but the odd jokes kind of softened the impact. I doubt they sold much Pickbuster - but I could be wrong, of course, I have been before, loads of times, lol.
They tried so hard to hide how bumping works, so just used a trench coat and the actual key. Martin forgot to meantion after using bump buster, that now the guy will snao that cylinder instead.
The sliver haired coffin dodger got his phone out recording it to post it up on social media moaning and telling people to watch out for crime 😂😂😂 This video is super hilarious 😂
@@LockPickingLegend The Latter. The gubbermit is afeared that Tim the Welder will clean his metal with the stuff, leave a honkin' puddle on it, and light it up the metel with his hot metal glue gun. In theory you can make phosgene gas by heating old school brake cleaner. But not exactly, ya need to do it in an O2 free environment preferably in a ceramic tube. But that’s gubbermit fer ya.

They don't make adverts like the used to - thankfully. Thanks for the blast from the past.
A pleasure, Quakes.
Hilarious and that's an understatement.

Yes, did you see the Lishi vid where they're using grease as a security feature? Oh, hang on, I think I mentioned it in this video. As you were.
Before bumpkeys came the gypsy or traveller key (sort of hinged blank flipper fingy) caused the same consternation in the 50's churrs LEGEND!

Still was a nice bit of advertising for you 😂 I bet more people looked you up because of it 🤣

If they’re worried so much about legality then they should have thrown a strop when “Arnie” pointed his 12 gauge right at Martin’s face in their ad. 😂

Brake cleaner is now Acetone no longer can you get chloroflourocarbons in the USA
Wow - interesting. No doubt some drug precursor, or are they just looking after adults who can take care of themselves?

@@Raul28153 it's over my head, that's the truth, but thanks for leaving the comment, I am sure some people will get it.
Try LSD and then make a picking video!! I would love to se that one.
Maybe 30 years ago, when I pretty much lived on the stuff, but at my age, too many bad life choices to put under the acid magnifying glass.
I thought you were a blonde?
I ws listening to you yesterday on interview with a lock picker. Good stuff.
@LockPickingLegend oh thank you sir!!
Awesome, lol
