Air filter ko outside se nahi inside se air marni chaiye rehti hai.
I love these bikes. So incredibly easy to maintain however I do my own maintenance and this video is exactly why. Oil spilled in the skid plate, and not a single torque wrench was used.
And pliers to close oil cap! My god, poor bike! And the chain needs more lose!
i do my own servicing too on my 2021 Himalayan..my warranty is now gone, but for what i paid new , it is half the price of a second hand big brand name 👍
They are so well built and so easy to do the valve clearance, why pay a dealer £140 for a service when you can do it yourself for under £30.
I had neve ever done a valve clearance check in 32yrs of riding bikes , i just went to my dealer and got robbed..all i can say is watch a youtube vid and take the chance and do it yourself, it is very easy to do , my valves were so tight it was unreal, did they actually get checked on the first service? (intake 0.08mm - 0.10mm, exhaust is 0.23mm - 0.25mm)
now i know they are right, it runs a lot smoother and starts first time without stalling 😁
Ye'h I noticed that! However, I never used such items at home for routine servicing, but you would think they would at the dealer, and that bash plate should have been removed.
I don't get to crazy torqueing M5s but everything else yes and the oil spillage is avoidable. I am assuming they pressure wash it when done? Also, I know some mechanics are good but I was never good enough to check valves by ear. LOL Did I mention I was a factory trained Kawasaki and Yamaha mechanic in the 80s? :-)
After long time saw the Engineer taking close interest in detail servicing. Thanks to the Engineer who has taken time in servicing your Himalayan. Nice video and informative. Keep it up Cheers.
thanks a lot bro!
Maybe this guy was taking video so out of pressure he was showing intrest😆, anyway good shot brother and keep it up 👍
Appreciate to that guy doing servicing, politely he is telling everything.
yes. he is quite an experienced person. few days back he'd restored an '86 bullet.
Thanks for the such a detail servicing video of Himalayan...it could be more informative if we hear all the voice of the engineer what he speak during the servicing..by the way it's a very helpful video for upcoming Himalayan riders like me... it's my dream bike ❤️❤️..and a request to you that please continue this series with the next services of Himalayan...thank you so much for this video ❤️❤️
YOU SHOULD ERASE THE MUSIC!! GOOD VIDEO, THANKS..JOHN IN COLORADO- USA
Hi John!
Only in hindsight I could realise I need a microphone. The original audio is way too noisy, no noise reduction could help it.
Won't be the case in upcoming videos.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your interest!
Healthy criticism is always appreciated.
Singer of background music ? Name of music ?
@@jks60 HI!
Its there in the description at the end.
Thanks!
John, Too true, who needs to listen to annoying music.
3 AM Video approved! It was so good to watch, also god bless that serviceman.
Nicely covered all the details regarding service. Technician also has done a good job explaining everything. Good video 👍
thanks bruv!

Most of my 'serious' riding was in the 1950s when bikes were still 'basic' Maintenance and servicing was pretty much similat to what is bdone on this bike. You can do everything at the side of the road if need be, just like the old days. Really this bike is fairly unchanged from those day apart from disc brakes, fuel injection which is a major improvement from the old Amal carburettors and of course tyres and suspension are much improved. I like the monoshock at the rear, that can be upgraded fairly easily. It is worth upgrading the steerinf head bearinf=gs with tapers instead of ball bearingsas they wear fairly quickly
Great video. Thank you for sharing and putting forth the effort. I will be referring to it when I service my bike. Good job guys.👍
GREAT VIDEO ...so clear ..
well registered and with good details 👏🏼👌🏻
Have booked mine ...thanks for the video it was very informative
Congrats on the booking mate! Hope you get it soon.
Thank you so much for this informative video aditya, As i'm RE himalayan fan guy I love it.
Great service, great mechanics... bravo.
thanks bruv!
Looks like I can do the servicing on my own. Made it look easy. Good one buddy!
Right. You don't need to check the "tappet" clearance just listen to it!
Respect for mechanic 👏👏👏
bro god bless up and your number of subscribers should sky rocket
Thank you very much bruv! May god bless you too. Best Wishes!!
Very good. Direct and simple. Congratulations.
Baut sahi video bhai …it ll help me after i take my first service to check whether all is good or not..that service is correctly done r not..thanks bro👍🏻 keep going.
thanks a lot bruv! means a lot.
Very good video bro, nicely made 👍
Also congratulations for 75k🥳
Long journey ahead❤❤❤💯🔥💪
No bro it's 76k
thanks a lot bruv!
80k strong rn🙌
Excellent! I'd have missed that oil cooler drain bolt!
I'm not going to point out the problems with this video. Instead, I'll remark upon how it illustrates WHAT is being done as opposed to HOW it's being done. It illustrates, quite well, what needs to be done in order to maintain the motorcycle. Beyond that, it illustrates how incredibly old school, zombie apocalypse, this motorbike is. It reminds me of when I first started riding, when motorcycles were machines and not computers. This appears to be a fully user serviceable motorbike.
I hear you.
Those are the best kind :p
That was very informative! Thank you!
thanks bruv!

No service centers here in Myanmar, so ill have to maintain it myself. Thanks soo much for this video bro!!
Man and the machine ! ❤
Nice vid, but the way the oil ran into the bash / belly plate kinda shocked me. A lot of cleaning up to do, especially if you dont want the oil residue to catch fire if you dont clean it up. Maybe they should re-design that part of the casing?
You can simply put a sheet of plastic or even cardboard underneath the hole and above the frame / plate. Obviously they didn't 😶
The mechanic is very good his work is very well and he done this job so perfect
Due to live on camera so he is cleaning disc pad otherwise they dont bother to check disc and discpad.

Informative video, thanks bhai 👍
Thanks a lot Shiva!
Please like, comment, and do subscribe.
they did all that without washing ? dirt and grime can get inside threads or crank case
Anyone noticed that the mechanic is a left hander i like they way he did that workz✌️✌️
xd!
Hello Bro!
It's a nice video! Informative with regard to servicing!
Thanks for that!
For how long have you been using the bike? What's your opinion about the bike? Good and bad.
Is it a good bike for daily city use? How's the heating issue in your experience?
Thanks..... I am planning for it 🙂
sure thing!
congrats mate..
Hi, Nice video and miticulous service.
Thanks and best regards from Algeria

Nice work! I've got a hammer just like yours. :)
Air filter cannot be blown. Because impurities enter the filter element. The correct thing is to knock it lightly for the dirt to come out or to replace it. Here in Brazil 🇧🇷 Honda does not recommend blowing the air filter.
Ask him to use a cardboard so that the oil doesn't fall in the bash plate, all re service centers do that
yes! only in hindsight I could realise that
Kenneth oneil, I was going to say that, seen it on vids on here.
U should immediately erase or delete the music it's a kind of irritating 2viewers,.
Very usefull♥️

1032 for first free service... Damn that's really high. I wonder what would be the cost after free services. Cus that's when the real stuff will kick in. It would also include required part upgrades like breakpads, cables, oil filters and few more. And as far as I know just the accelerator cable would cost around ₹600-700.
I guess if those servicing costs seem higher then, maybe one should be considering hero splender or best hero e-cycles...?
Bhai first service me battery bhi change hoti h kya kyuki mere friend ko bola h first service pr battery change krane ko
Have u felt engine heating when u drive in short in traffic. And wt abt the cost of 1st service
in air filters, air should only be blown from inside to outside direction to avoid clogging of dust particles inside the filter.
oh is it!
thanks a lot for your interest brother.
Or even better:
Just replace the air filter with a new one. Pointing compressed air at an air filter could cause the filter material be punctured by the high compression of the air pointed at it.
Looked to me like the air scoop on the cover directed the air flow to the inside of the filter, so all the debris would be caught on the inside of the filter. So from what I saw, blowing air from the outside to dislodge the dust was the proper procedure.
Good mechanic cooperation
Which oil hv thy used?
Re recommend s
elf15w50 semi Synthetic.
(Road Star)
But here thy are using servo??
Interesting video❤️
INFORMATIVE VIDEO
Thank you Shubham!
Thanks for video. Did your himalayan had heat issue?? I bought new 2021 himalayan it heats a lot with short rides also (5-6 km) not sure abr issue.
yes, it heats up with low speed. this bikes not made for city use. I mean, if you'll run a 411cc engine at 20-40 kmph, radiator won't work and heat won't dessipatate hence, the warmth
It's the engine oil very poor quality. Use other
Use motul 7100. Your heating issue will be gone.
Currently riding the BS6 I in Australia, temps around 40C. As long as you are not in stop start traffic the heat from tbe air/oil cooled engine is not an issue. Mogul 5100 15w50 works fine out here.
Facing same in 2022 model for 3km drive....too bad 😭
Thx for video !!!how capacity in oil bag???when you change?you can tell me?Tnx
Old Oil not remove properly and use electrical pliers to remove oil cap .. check karo cap ke uper scratches aye honge 😀.. and oil filter lagane ke pahile use oil me dala jata he..
The filter didn't need changing and I don't think there's any harm in cleaning it but it would be better to use a vacuum and in the case of the oil change, use something, reusable to direct the oil and make the process cleaner and cheaper, negating excess cleanup and keeping the mechanics health uppermost.
Fabulous
thanks a lot bruv! ❤️
Will buy soon
Nice vedio ..full of details

Nice torque settings.!
thanks!
Do hit the like button and please subscribe.
Equaliser, we're not in the USA ,everything doesn't need to be torqued, having said that i do believe he tightened everything too tight, sump plug and oil filter particularly.
Previous Himalayans were known to face problems like water gets inside the airfilter during decent water crossings..have you ever faced anything similar?thanks in advance, ride safe..
No daba sacar el cubrecarter antes de vaciar el aceite?
Wow
Thanks for the video :)
thanks bro!
Hi,please can you tell me the conditions required by Royal Enfield for a Franchise.
Thanks
Pls don't mix the background score . It's not a travel narration. U r doing a JOB man..

Hey, thank you for the video! I'm from Germany and whenever I watch a motorcycle video from India, I'm wondering what this protection on the left side of the back wheel is good for? Would be great if you could tell me :D thx
Hope you are asking about Saree guard ?Since most of the Indian women wear saree, due to which they sit sideways (especially the pillion rider). This guard will avoid the saree to struck with wheels.
@@nikhiln5986 Thank you so much! That makes a lot of sense actually :D
I didn‘t know how this thing is called so it was impossible for me to google the answer :D
Looks like it would help keep your saddlebags off the wheel also.
Cone set inspect & cleaning not done which is must in 1st service and same is mentioned in user manual too
I think he overtightened everything, also cleaned the chain but never lubed it. rear wheel adjusters should be tightened before the spindle.
Why he didn't change the oil filter gasket? There's one that he left on the engine, the new oil filter comes with a new one
Super bro
good video 👍 exclude the music it is too loud and disturbing. instead talk to the technician in between and zoom in when he is working and keep telling what he is doing.
All RE mechanics leaves the chain too tight WIth less than 10mm of sag. I had to make them increase the chain sag every time. They also try to skip battery checking or top up. General inspection if all bolts are tight or not, brake and clutch cables, etc., are also skipped. I had brake failure because they forgot the brake reservoir diaphragm gaskets and lost the brake pedal pins.
👌👌👌
Vean el vídeo del primer mantenimiento de una Himalayan pero de Colombia, realmente el trabajo es más pulcro es más detallado, este video me quito confianza ya cuando no supo q número de aceite le pone 😐😐😐
Just for addition information champer the brake pads at outer edges to avoid noise special dust noise
Goodluck
30°-45° angle will be better
thanks a lot for the interest bruv! means a lot.

Quick question 3-4 years old Enfield has a vibration above 80-90 kms speed
I hope its not with your bike
Thank you in Advance
@@user-sr7zc8ki9k No, not in Himalayan, let alone in mine. I've gone as fast as 120kmph and felt vibrations only after that.
Bhai bde smjhdaar h tu music itna aacha lg gya Puri video m music daal dia kis liye bnai hai video ye ??? Kya information mili logo ko
Planning to buy this same... But bit confused between him and metor.. any suggestions
congrats bro!
meteor is more of a tourer and a more suited commuter than the Himalayan. But Himalayan in better on roads to, a compared to meteor. we don't need to talk about off-road capabilities.
choose wisely!
Hello brother.
Didn't they wash the bike?
Muy bueno
You luck guy who can see while service and making video also
thanks bruv!
Ya viene la scram linda moto
will mileage increase after first service in himalayan????
I thought the valves were supposed to get checked in the first service? And not torquing to the factory spec isn't good practice.
Hi Tony!
The servicing is done at an official Royal Enfield showroom. This is how they do it during the first servicing.
@@LivingitupwithAditya It may be how they do it - but their doing it wrong, and your bike will suffer.
Any increase in milage after first service.?
No, not any significant in my case.
music interferes when the mechanic is sharing impo details on tappet sounding and how/when to check etc, and the music plays. ,
Hi!
Thanks for the interest bro. Actually, this is my first vlog and I didn't quite know the importance of a microphone. The result, I had a good video with a lot of noise. That's why I had to put the music and keep the original audio only wherever required.
@@LivingitupwithAditya I am sorry, I am correcting my wording, sorry again I did not mean to hurt you anyways. congrats for your first vlog, very information though, both you and the service engineer are calmly covering the useful info that many users are in need of, just that the music was cutting short some valuable information. congrats again bro, enjoy your ride and drive safe!!! tc
so if the valve train is rattling no adjustment needed dont think I buy that one to each his own
Do it you are self @home see the spaners sizes take new one use motul engine oil 20w50 grade full synthetic oil, go and give the 50rup to local mechanic they will adjust chain and clutch easily, you safe lot off re bill🤷♂️
Generally whether we do service for bike or car, they change the oil and filter.chain tight.if there is some defect, they try to avoid to resolve it .because general technician have lack of whole knowledge of bike .because ,they are daily wages technician having general knowledge of all bike and not whole knowledge of perticular bike.they are just mini version of Agniveer
bro what's the minimum maintenance of bike? and this bike good for middle class people? im fully confused for buying this bike... any one please explain 😇
Is there any kind of jerking or vibrations from the headlight or visor part at certain RPM's?
hi!
no there's nothing like that for me yet.
Dankeschön
das Willkommen
I have sensed a significant change in performance when using Motul oil instead of putting synthetic oil. Can someone point out why?
oh it's it!
I surely wanna give it a try not.
Is it worth to buy Himlyaan because next month I will buy
it's best value for money bike you'll get in India, period.
Bhai Himalayan Lelu kya value for money hai kya ?
The mechanic took interest only because the cam was on😂
Good video but why the music all info missed out
thanks for the interest!
will keep that in check now onwards.
How much oil was put in?
Maintenance cost kitna aata hain mahine me??
