For a simple lid that will fit in the pouch, double fold a piece of aluminium foil and shape it to fit the top of the container.
You might also be able to use the same material to create a deflector to shield the handles from any flames. Hope this helps.

Had one of these sets for a few years. Use the canteen in winter which I think holds an American quart. Changed the cup for a French surplus aluminium one, longer handles and it seems to boil water a little quicker. Still packs up into the stand. I have 2 bits of thick aluminium foil, I put one over the holes on the pot stand to stop the handle on the cup heating up so much and the other bit of foil goes over the other holes in windy weather which helps boil time in those conditions. It's a versatile little pot stand and I'll get another one if this one gives out.

Nice, I’ve seen they have started doing them with lids now (Lixada) but the foil is a really good tip. Thanks for commenting bud

I enjoyed your video. The Australian Army issued those stoves after I left and I got one a few years aback. I like it but the issue ones don't have the lip to sit the cup on! You can jam it in or set it on an angle but it isn't the most stable thing. I use mine with a hexie stove (folding esbit type) but I believe hexie tabs are now verboten in Englandistan? Subbed and liked.

Turn yer cup 90°, not quite as stable but way quicker boil time & yes acohol stove means leather gloves.
    Cheers 🇨🇦
