- I went from an XL/XXL to a S/XS in clothing in a relatively short amount of time after my gastric bypass/RNY. I made a lot of mistakes along the way that cost me a lot of money. In this video I hope you will learn from my mistakes as well as hear some of my advice on the things I did correctly.
Great tips! I’m thrifting now. Didn’t consider it when I was plus sized because I wasn’t aware I could find things that fit. I was wrong about that! Now I check out thrift store 1st when I find I need something. I’m usually cold so I on the hunt now for summer weight casual jackets/ blazers. It’s so fun to find things. I started keeping a list of what I need so I do more focused shopping. Walmart online has some really nice pieces! I found cute dresses! Thanks for explaining “capsule” I had no clue 😮 My bariatric practice has events and we’ve done several clothing swaps. Really great idea to help a bariatric buddy out!

I had RNY on 4/18/24 and have dropped from 16/18 to a 12/14 already. Love your videos. Thrifting is fun. When my daughter was younger she told me we're not mall rats, we're thrift rats. Been giving away clothes lately. Reminding myself to not go nuts as this size won't last long.
i would like to hear more about the travels you are planning. i.e. solo or group travel, planned itinerary, budget etc.BTW I love thrifting and go as often as I can!

i find nothing wrong with thrift shopping and i buy clearance all the time even for food ❤ it saves things from going to a landfill , and if i can buy 20 pairs of clothes for the price most people pay for one outfit i’m so down for that deal 🤑
I bought this lovely sweater for $125. Getting surgery in 2 weeks. Sad I'll never get to wear it again 😢
