I don't have a truck camper setup, but I have my life back. I have lost roughly 61 pounds. Walking and eating healthy. Mav has inspired me to live life and get the most out of it, no matter what I am doing. True inspiration to us all. Keep on Trucking Mav!
Good for you brother! That's absolutely incredible
It's a chain reaction self improvement, as in reading your post raised my spirit to do better.
💪💪
That’s great man keep it up. 👍👍👍💪💪💪😁😁😁
Proud of you man💜
“A solid 8.2” ….. I’ll take that for sure; glad you liked my goulash recipe. And you are correct, it’s traditionally a Hungarian dish and I am a German who lives in Canada … keep on trucking
Care to post the recipe? Would love to try it.
As a hungarian, I would eat the shit out of this goulash
@@stormkinghiker
Goulash with Bratwurst (4 servings)
5-8 sausages
1 medium onion
1medium red and green peppers
1 clove of garlic (Mav used minced garlic our of a jar ..... works too)
2 bay leaves
3-4 medium skinned white potatoes
2 cups of beef broth
1/4 cup of flower (for a thicker consistency
1 tbsp of paprika
1 tsp of marjoram
salt and pepper to taste
chopped parsley when serving
Fry sausages first and set aside; use same pan and add chopped peppers, onion and garlic. Fry/sautee for a while until translucent; add flour and spice mix ..... stir and fry briefly. Now add the beef broth and bring to a boil; add potatoes and let simmer for about 25 min (or until potatoes are done to your liking) .... when done, add the sausages and serve with parsley on top.
Guten Appetit.
@@mrapsch1 Thank you for posting this.
@@mrapsch1 ur a legend
Mav, I'm a huge Fan from Germany and I have to tell you, I'm 31, I was lost till a few days ago, on the best way to become a severe alcoholic... Then I found your videos and I was literally like "fuck this shit, I have to go out there and do what I want" and I stopped wasting my Life since then. And I'll be forever thankful for that ❤️
Wait what? 😅
How are you doing now man everything alright?
As a Canadian, hearing how Mav says "Sault Ste. Marie" gives me a good chuckle
As someone from the Sault it’s even funnier
A Toque is a chef's hat to keep hair out of food but let head be cool. How did knit winter hats get named this also?
First thing I noticed as well! I was like wait don’t you mean “Soo” Ste Marie?
its the soo
I thought the same thing and I’m from michigan lol
Hey Mav, so I’m in the hospital, have been for the last 12 days. Some pretty serious stuff going on. It’s easy to lose sight of the simple positive things in here and I must say I’ve watched your entire catalog while I’ve been in here. Something about the way you go about your life is therapeutic to me. Appreciate the constant positivity. Keep on trucking my guy.
Sorry to hear man, I know this comment is late but I hope all is well with you or going in a better direction. Life can be tough and yes it’s easy to lose sight but as long as you’re doing your best that’s all that matters. Much love ❤️
Hope you get better man
hope ur better homie x
🙏
I hope your doing better now 💯
You and Steve Wallis just dropped rainy day camping videos at the same time! Two legends. Thanks Mav!
Yay! I’ll be looking for Steve’s video. These guys are my faves!!
Secret Steve and Mav collab soon?
@@frostybytes6835 He is in canada so I wouldn't be surprised
HAHA! I just watched steve's video before watching this. FUNNY! WOOT!
I just watched Steve’s video. Hopefully he does a video with Steve or foresty forest. Lol
You remind me of an exchange student from Germany I hosted. Before returning home he told me he was going to backpack around the world - and he did. His parents, grand parents and I helped him in his journey but he did the vast majority of it on his own. I got him a GoPro which he used and stored all of his photos on my cloud. You and he have the same attitude towards life and pretty much the same appearence. Good for you. You only live once and you need to take advantage of it. Thanks for sharing your adventures and I am sure it has a very positive attitude on the people who view your channel.
I love how Mav is like "I gotta get a regular towel, a laundry bag" after also owning a Jackery solar setup that costs over $6k.
Well the good news is subscribers and viewers like you. Paid for it all
Jackery sent him all that stuff free. Dahhh
@@legendkillla21 Totally happy giving him part of the youtube pie while I relax late night.
Priorities 🤷♀️😂😂😂 Good on him, like you I’m happy to give him a penny or two for the entertainment he gives me.

Hey Mav, you should plan on truck camping like in a haunted forest or haunted town, and just narrate everything while your cooking and like what you hear when your about to sleep… that would be hella cool.
YES
that sounds really cringy and clickbait-like
Could just put quotes around Haunted forest, that'd at least make it a lil better
@@DrZmesky what would be click bait about that? If he actually does it I don’t see how that’s click bait lol
Dude in that note go to 10:14 you can hear two laughs kind of. One male one female. Shits creepy.
It's a rear frickin day when Mav& Steve Wallis uploads rainy day camping videos 😅
I want them to do a collab so bad...
You have to be hunkered down to watch their videos
A rear day? A day full of butts?
@@cjwolfenden yea man me too 👍
Yo I just came from the bus video haha.
If you're in Canada, you and Steve Wallis should meet up and do a camp together. Most of us follow both of your channels, would be a bonus for us all. Thank you.
Great suggestion, Linda. I do think that is right, that most of us follow both. And I have heard both of them mention the other one.
Steve is West Coast. Mav is heading east.
Never been into truck camping but binge watching these videos non stop has me wanting to buy a topper and start building out the back of my truck. The thought of it is so awesome.
You should write & publish a camper’s recipe book with all your favorite recipes you’ve acquired over the years
Steve Wallis, Joe Robinet and Mav within the same hour. Today is a good day!
Wow the skills Mav has with fixing stuff and etc. He's very good with that. Amazing guy.
Love the videos Mav!! You should look into the heat shrink/solder butt connectors. You dont need to crimp the wires, you just use your torch/heat gun/lighter to shrink the heat shrink and melt the solder and it will create a water/weatherproof connection in one easy step! Im loving your new setup!
I like that feeling when you wake up while camping and it's damp and cloudy outside.
It’s suuuuu Ste. Marie Mav!! Ha ha And goulash sounds so good! Haven’t heard anyone mention that in years!! I’m from MI and live in AZ now. No goulash in AZ! Ha ha You should have a pasty!!! They are so good in the UP!
UP pastys are amazing!!
@@sherrylosjoos yes!!!
I never comment but I wanted to say that you and so many other UA-camrs that live from their car are truly an inspiration! I converted my Chevy Malibu into a little camper, and me and my partner are traveling the northern part of the United States from our car. We are still new to this but I love it. ❤️💖
Mav you might want to look into stuff called "better than bouillon". It's basically a paste, you can get beef flavor, chicken, garlic, even shrimp, they take up way less room and they are delicious, just need some warm water and you can adjust the strength of the broth to your liking. Tastes MUCH better than those dried cubes, I'd say just as good as the liquid containers, and like I said takes up way less room and can sit out at room temperature for longer also.
That stuff is bomb.
I agree they cook up very well
I agree but I keep mine in the fridge. It says “refrigerate after opening”. Please don’t leave it out.
1.91 million subscribers - heading towards 2 million! Why do we love this boy so much? Don't know, but we do. You are so loved Mav 😊 Big thumbs up 👍👍
I love what an amazing all around DIY handyman he is! Electrical problem with the fridge? No problem. Diesel heater not working right? No problem. Truck setup needs tweaked? No problem. House needs remodeled? No problem. Homeless community needs 70 Thanksgiving dinners? No problem! That's our Mav!
because he live a dream life for someppl and a simple life!!! and this young man actualy changed my way of life!!! that we own so much useless stuff and can live a happy life with so less!!!4
No one watch him because his a handyman, be serious! He's gorgeous, have a luster blond full head of hair, piercing blue eyes, and killer looks that any modeling agent would kill to book him for any major label. Just be honest he is adorable to look at.
@@QuicoKoala maybe for you, but I'm probably older than his mon sooooo 🤷
UNIQUE ~ MAV . . . YOU ~ ROCK ! !
what a great truck set up. Seems more relaxing to cook in the cold this way. Not outside in the elements anymore while cooking!
Been watching your vids for a while now bro! Keep it up! It’s very immersive and innovative the way you do this whole truck camping stuff! Great content!
Oh buddy I lived in my truck for a while , your bringing back some really good memories for me, looking back on it the rainy days were some of the best for just enjoying the solitude and the raindrops on the rig. Safe travels and good for you sir. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
You are always so kind to people. And your meals always look delicious. Be safe 💕
Future possible fix for having to do maintainence in the rain? Rubber backed door mat for your knees, find a carwash to park under. As a 51 y/o disabled mamaw of 5 we love your channel!!
So happy that you liked Goulash to an 8.2, but it would be so cool to see you get the real 5 hour campfire Hungarian Goulash experience with the real ingredients (Hungarian garlic, no corn starch, no beefstock but bacon fat and paprika sausage). We used to do it every 2 weeks, and its also an experience I really miss. Your adventures and cooking help me with eating and relaxing, but I also just realize that I miss cooking Goulash in a pot for hours, sitting around the fire with my dad. Thank you for making these videos and for being the way you are! If you ever around Hungary, wed be happy to host you for a Goulash weekend with some local wines and even a trip to the movie studio next town where they shot die hard 5, world war z and many others.
Love that he thinks he's in "French Canada". Wait until he gets to Quebec.
You always know how to brighten my day! Thanks mav
Still can't believe you went up through the U.P. man! I'm from Michigan, played hockey for the Sault Greyhounds up there for a bit, currently stationed in Germany right now. Your videos get me through the grind🤟.
Thats awesome man im from the u.p. lived in the sault most of my life
I miss the videos with you and Hannah. It was really fun to see two good friends camping and going on different adventures. Ever think of doing some more videos with the two of you?
I just love this guy.Such a classy young man ,Keep those videos coming Maverick.
I love watching Mav right before bed… and in the mornings… also daytime is fine too…
Love your vlogs so much! Thank you for taking us along. Can't wait to see more of Canada.
Goulash for my family is a meat usually beef, elbow noodles some type of tomato sauce with chunky tomato pieces and onions and a little bit of peppers. To stretch we shredded carrots and sometimes added corn. Simple poor man's fare to warm the bones and fill the tummy.
Love these cooking videos in the truck out in the cold!Freakin awesome!
The amount of “eh?” jokes we gonna hear this trip is gonna be CRAZY lol
EH !!!!!!!
Always love the rainy day vibes 🌧
I'd love to see you do a video going into how the rest of your truck is setup, like the back seats, roof rack etc. Also would love to hear more about what the lifestyle is like. How do you eat on a daily not just on adventures, more what it's like on the day to day non adventure days and just other thoughts and opinions on what your doing.
Love the sound of rain, must be so cosy to fall asleep to it
Sitting on my bed eating peanut butter and jam sandwiches whilst watching mav is a perfect end to a night.

Every night for me. Very relaxing. He’s just so chill
That sounds so good right now! I might just have to do the same 💜
That’s cool everybody likes a good p&j

I love a nice chill relax camping vid.
Now that everyone has corrected your pronunciation of the Soo , I live here and was thrilled to see you driving around town, Burger Don Canadian tire and the grocery store, wish I could have actually met you, and the George Leach Gym is great, keep up the great vids and maybe swing back this way sometime
I was thinking the same thing. Nothing like this ever happens here😂
Absolutely love your videos ! Keep crushing it mav.
I am totally impressed Mav on how well equipped you are and how your truck has been organized! All the best from a regular guy on Calgary,Alberta.
Another good video. I'm loving these vids. I hope to travel more myself some day. I hope to some day go to Canada myself. Keep up the good content Mav. Great gear and set up as well.
Love you Mav keep up the grind ❤️
Hey, Mav. Really enjoyed that you included some of the ingredients of your food in this video. Keep it up, bud!
Many Canadians pronounce it (Soo) Sault Saint Marie...not ( salt) Sault😊😊
Mav is in Canada! Wooo! Very exciting. Have a good trip and I hope you feel at home wherever you go : )
I love when he cooks in his truck 🔥
Hey maverick glad you made it to Canada that dinner looked amazing looking forward to all your adventures in Canada be safe and have fun ♥️✌️👍☮️🌍😊
Canada says shut up lanette
In case anyone is wondering, Mav's slippers are The North Face ThermoBall Traction Mule Slippers and they're amazing. I have 3 pairs. Can't recommend them enough.
no they aren’t :p
@@mav whaaa? My bad. They look exactly like mine!
Looking again I see they don't have the north face logo on em'. Same exact design though.
@@mav what kind of knife 🔪 is that you used to chop the potatoes 🥔 that thing is sharp as hell, I want it!!!
Love the knives you have in your vids now man. Living here in Japan for a few years I've found myself spending an excessive amount on unique locally made knives and I love them.
Hey Mav. Welcome to the “Soo” !! It was cool to see you in our town! Been a subscriber for quite a while now and always enjoy your videos. Keep on truckin’! 👍 🛻 Beau travail mon ami 😃
Keep on truckinnnnnnnnnn, as an over the road truck driver I know the lifestyle 😎✌🏼
Keep up the good work mav! Love your videos!
nice video again Mav love seeing the adventures your having , cant wait for my van to be ready to hit the road 👍
My grandma from South Korea taught me this dish. I’m sure she learned to make it when she came to the US but definitely a world renowned dish for sure
Hahah love that you hit up both Tim Hortons and Canadian tire within the first five minutes 😂😂❤🤍❤
Your vids are always so inspiring!
Soo-Saint-Mah-Ree lol. My parents took me up there a lot to go watch the boats on the locks. My Mom still gets my Dad to take her up there and camp on the locks if they can to watch the boats go through. Love the vids keep them up!!
Been binging this guy’s channel and everytime he uploads its like I’m going to the future! That’s the special things about channels like these
great video as always mav! just a heads up, it's pronounced "Soo" or "Sue" not salt. keep up the great work!

I was actually going to comment the same thing lol
Stab to this Michigander’s heart.
@@pamelam1500 Yeah that it is, lol 😆
With the amount of salt on the roads during the winter, I’d say it suits
Love in Canada 14 years and loved it. They eat sausage brox in about all of Canada . French and German . If you can find a German restaurant or a Greek restaurant oh my goodness is so good. Enjoy your time in Canada . The people are so nice . Especially in the west .

THIS GUY’S UA-cam CHANNEL IS SO AWESOME 👏🏽👍🏽😀 MAV, I JUST LOVES IT EACH TIME YOU ARE ON, YOU AT TIMES DO COOKING OR TRIES YOUR FOLLOWERS RECIPES THAT ARE SEND TO YOU. THANKS PAL!👍🏽👏🏽😀
Djk34💘💝🥰😘💖 are you single how old you are
I believe that this is one of Mav’s most great vlogs!
Perfect setup now in the van…Rainy Sunday you would have got totally soaked cooking with your old setup, though it was fun watching you cook on your boot door in a blizzard…those were the days aye.. I like the recipe, I’m gonna try a version of that. Many Thanks Mav.
Mav is the perfect UA-camr to watch while eating!
Having goulash for dinner tonight myself, shout-out to you Maverick
That preworkout burger and poutine looked next level
Post* pre would be before. It really did look good!
i love the new setup in your truck storage and cook top
Getting them GAINZZZZ 💪🏼
Gulasch is a pretty German dish too. And contains beef chunks with vegetables in thick sauce with tagliatelle.
That's it! I'm making poutine for dinner tonight! There nowhere in my area to get it. I'd have to drive farther up North in Washington to find a place that sells it. But that's not a bad idea either. Thanks for the inspiration Mav!
Hey Mav, i love your videos. They make me feel very cozy.
Always enjoy a mav upload. We need more water bottles!
I am doing the BBBE challenge (beef, bacon, butter eggs) to lower my blood sugar and weight. I've lost 20 pounds, have more energy and no longer have that "cloud" over my mind. Thanks Mav!!! 👍👍👍
Always always love the meals you make! Do you have a catalog of what you’ve cooked and the recipes you’ve used anywhere?
your videos make me happy and calm and relaxed. Your videos help distract me from my depression:)
Yoooo Mav that girl was feeling u my boy!! 😂😂 Great video Brodie 🤞
Hey Mav, long time viewer from just outside Toronto. If you’re in the area you’ve gotta check out the Centennial ridge hike in Algonquin park, it’s a 3-4 hour hike with some amazing views
Algonquin park isn't exactly "just outside toronto"
Totally get your point. Algonquin is a few hours from Toronto.
I guess living out west has really changed the distances I consider a far drive.
People in Northern BC consider a three hour drive "just down the road." I used to drive four hours each way to go to Costco.
I know guys in eastern Alberta that would drive 8 hours to BC every weekend in the winter to go sledding.
You need to make contact with campingSteve up in Canada. He has fun stealth camping. Today’s episode is about his large school bus camper. I hope to see you two together some day
April/May in the Maritime Provinces, the rain will never end !
Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
You hear all the time but Man I just totally enjoy your videos to the max, I believe it’s the personality sometimes even more than the content which you obviously have🤙… only complaint is PLEASE make them longer brooo🙏🤙
Sue Ste Marie 👍👊

Hands down my favorite youtuber! Keep crushing it MAV!
When I was living out of my truck some of my favorite days were the rainy ones. Great vid again mav!
I definitely enjoy watching your videos. As a long haul trucker from Canada, keeps me focused on my goals! You are definitely doing what I'd love to do with my Ford. Enjoy your travels across Canada. If you get a chance Gillis truck stop in New Liskeard Ontario, off hwy 11. Is a great place to catch a good meal!
Keep the chrome side up and rubber side down 🤘
Another great video man! Looking forward to seeing some more Canadian adventures!
I have watched you since day 1 of your adventures. Have been very impressed by your upgrades. I see you in a very nice camper up ahead! 👍🏻👍🏻
