You can mask. You just mask the base mesh inside zbrush before you launch the plug in. There is a video about it on the product page. It would also be helpful if you linked to that page in the video description.
an extra quick tip for people struggling with eyes: if you polygroup by uv and uv the eye bag of your basemesh separately, you can easily alter or delete it!
This is Awesome. I bought the base mesh and trying it out now.. I could benefit from more advanced training in this.. Do you anticipate offering a full course? I'm very interested. Thank you!
I have both Zwrap and regular Wrap 3. I highly recommend getting both. Wrap 3 is super quick for scan clean up and texture projection plus tons of other useful features. But Zwrap seems to wrap much quicker for me. Also its free for students
Great video! But, just to add some information, there is support for masking, you need only to mask in the base mesh before clicking to open the ZWrap plugin. Tnx for the video! :D
i have a questio.we most paint the model in hight poly to after transfer all maps to low poly?or ew most painting the model in low ploy and just extract the maps displacment and normal from hight poly?
At one point I noticed that (in ZWrap) there was an ability to lattice wrap for multi-components. But when I use the plugin (I recently just got it at work) I don't see it? Is this based on version or was it removed and is exclusively in Wrap3d?
This is an amazing tool especially for things like topology replacement on existing characters. Now will this tool take into account mouth bags? Nevermind. I can just delete the mouth bag and sew it back in afterwards
Newbie question, how did you add both the vm_head_basemesh and the sculpt together in the subtools? The only thing that I could find on subtools was to append but I cannot load geometry from a file in append. Thanks for the help!
first load your sculpt, its icon will appear in the tools palette, now load the basemesh, it will replace the original sculpt in the subtool palette, if you now append, you will notice that your original sculpt icon is now available to select and when clicked, it will be added to the subtool palette below the basemesh. Try loading a few objects and then check the append menu that pops up, you will see that as you load tools they get put into that append list. Best of luck to ya, hope this helps.
do u guys know any solution when you zoom to a mesh and pan a bit fast, u get screen tearing which is annoying.. the only thing i found is it's related to document size u have to make it small to make it fast but the problem is i don't my working area to be that small!
Hi Guys, never knew that could work. i was hoping you guys could explain how smoothing mesh on zbrush vs maya smoothing because ever so often i find there is a differences between them.
absolutely killing software. it's scarry to look at this only if you'r not using it for own needs . For the first time when i saw it i like "god help me, smth new in market again" but after several uses it's like: "Hm instead of countless amount of hours of masrutbation in maya or retopo w/e". I can finally just sculpt and jump into houdini and texturing directly. It's so relaxing.
I love this tool so much, it just allows you to crack on with making art rather then chasing edge loops

Yes, good point. Watch russian3dscanner's tutorial part 4 on ZWrap
www.russian3dscanner.com/zwrap/
why do you need to mask inside of eyes ? or mask the basemesh?
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHWSOOOME!!!! JUST BLEW MY MIND! Thanks for the video and the link.

Thank you. Does Zwrap only work with faces? What about the body? Arms, Fingers, Legs, toes?
can we blend shave this base mesh and use again and again in other project????????

Nice, so when you put this back with the body is there a way to weld the head to the body without totally screwing up the UVs?
Does anyone know why when I apply my zwrap it gives me this mesh with tons of artifacts?
I am having error of my mesh being corrupted what to do ?
I really wish that you guys would quickly explain what the plug-in does in the beginning, I've never heard of wrap3 or whatever it's called.

Can I use this for animation?
where to find high quality facial/body scans so I can try this out immediately?
3dscanstore is great!

Nevermind. I can just delete the mouth bag and sew it back in afterwards
I would love if there was a Wrap plugin for Blender !
that's really cool now i will use it instad of retopology my HR models
What would be your recommended workflow to get a symmetrical mesh while keeping the uvs intact? Or am I better off with wrap standalone for that?
please can we use this like texture map skin

load the tools separately and then you can append the highpoly as a subtool into the basemesh
Thanks for showing this

Oh you just wait for 2020! Gonna love it!
Amazing thanks dear
Projecting and matching manually in Zbrush is harder than it sounds. Tons of exploding polies , and mouth area gives lots of issues
Anyone know where I can get a demo head for a female character with good topology
