You know the old saying: "The last 10% of any project take 90% of the time." 😁🤟
Sewing the leather on the steering wheel was great work.
I remember Aaron did another segment like this is a video way back, could have been working on his personal van, might have been the custom dash design. It was great and I am pleased to see him return in front of the camera.
Love the Bronco and the fact that you’re keeping it all Ford. So many swap in an LS and call it a day! Great job!
Pro Tip: You can freshen up the look of the faded red 4WD hub selectors by using a small propane torch, and lightly licking it with the flame. They will go from pink to red. Just take your time, and maybe try it on something less important to get the technique down.
Have a great day, Sir! o7
A properly aligned TTB drives just fine down the road. You don't need a solid axle. All these steering upgrades are awesome, for sure!
Suspension is such an important part of an upgrade, but is usually overlooked until after everything else is done.
brakes too
On my 1995 Flairside I installed the Borgenson steering shaft and Redhead steering gearbox, took all the slop out of my steering wheel, really stiffened it up. Wish I could put Coyote 5.0 in mine. One day. Y'alls build is so sweet
Next to the F3kitty , this is my next favorite build on this channel, love the series thus far.
Thanks man, plenty or hours between the two!
Watching your video during the super bowl halftime show was so much more entertaining!😊
💯did the same thing! Also - Go Chiefs!
Red Head steering is about a half an hour from where I live in Auburn, Washington USA. I have a red head rebuild on my '56 Buick. Those guys are awesome.
Man, Rich, I'm always so torn on the Juice Box videos. Can't ever decide if my favorite part of them is the completely bitchin theme song, or the Juice Box itself! Really enjoy everything you post, but this build has been one of my favorite for YEARS! Seriously, thank you for all the time and effort you put into filming and editing these gems for us.
Bronco be looking good.
Awesome job on the steering wheel Aaron!
Accept he tripped over a $ 1000.00 bill to change a tilt column , that only needed a rebuild of the stock one !!!
man, Aaron did a great job redoing the steering wheel leather
Aaron is great at the finicky stuff
Your ability to modify these vehicles is definitely an art! 👍👍👍
Nice to see the Bronco getting some more love again. That is going to be one sweet rig when your done with it.
Thanks Rich you make it look so easy ,that being said im off to my shed its 38 celcius here in Adelaide today so ill see how long i can last ,i do envy your snow ,its easier to rug up than cool down 😅😅😅😅
Cheers kym
Adelaide
damn it Rick
Juice box is missing a third pedal.
I only say that because as a kid my neighbor had a bronco, I wanted so badly.
It was nothing more than a stripped down 1983 Ford bronco, straight 6 with a 3-speed manual.
So in my mind any "bull nose' bronco has to be a stick. lol
I love watching the build, it makes me want to do something with my 78 bronco that is sitting next to the barn.
P.S. my neighbor passed away but one of his son still has that bronco. Long life "Omega 1". which was the broncos nickname and its license plate. 💪
Sigh, Juice Box just hits Gen X in the feels. I’m only here for the music.
Gotta be my favorite intro! Great job on the steering wheel! Great rig.
You have to say this that you definitely built one Hell of a Truck what an Awesome Truck it is one of your best builds for sure. If anyone has any thing bad to say or comment about this Truck. One they have NO ideal what they are talking about and two they are flat out Julius and wish they had a Amazing Truck like that. Once again what an awesome amazing Truck you built l can understand why it's your favorite Truck NOT to mention that it's a Awesome FORD Truck with a Kick Ass FORD MOTOR!!!
Thank you!
@@DEBOSSGARAGE Man Brother You definitely deserve a lot of Praise on this Truck and all your Build what Talent you have. What You do takes LOTS of patience and LOTS of skill and LOTS of time keep up the Amazing Awesome work 👍. Thank You for your videos.
The Red Head steering box is a great product. I put one on my 02 super duty about 6 or 7 years ago and it is probably the best one improvement I have made. Great choice!!
Thank you for keeping this going, the Bronco is my favorite!
Been that long I forgot you painted it and done vinyl, good effort on steering and suspension, is a real must get that good and will make it more multi user enjoyable .
Is a real classic looker .
Ok. Not digging on the project but I been thru this with broncos, minus the coyote install(😅). And here's some things I suggest. You might rethink that crossmemeber clearance for the front driveline , it needs more than a notch if you hit many bumps. I noticed a previous ep that you didn't do rear cv drivshaft or 3RD member flip for better angle. See how that goes cause I've seen it be good and bad. I am curious about the no xover in the exhaust, but it's not complete yet . You've done an awsome job in this series 👏. I'm wanting a coyote now, thanks
That steering wheel turned out awesome man I love it
I totally agree with You about the LOUD exhaust noise it's getting absolutely stupid Loud these days and really they sound horrible. I like that Old School Flow Master rumble sound when it takes off NOT the sound of a Jet taken off the sound has NO soul to it plus it hurts my ears.
I agree, for a well restored, more refined rig like the Bronco an automatic is fine. If the Bronco were more of a rugged off road build then a manual would fit the vibe.
I've driven twin I beam for 40 years. Jump out of them, jump into Chevy and Dodge double A arm, and you musf be getting some bad , wore out rigs. Twin I beam run great down the road.
Beautiful truck that just keeps getting better.
How is this channel not upto 2 million plus subscribers. Rich does it all more than pretty much any motoring channel on UA-cam
Thanks for noticing giggity giggity
I've done the steering wheel cover as well its affordable, even cheap to do but, takes 2 hours to install. My 05 sierra has 260,000 miles so you can imagine the difference. So nice.
Awsome video,thx for sharing🎉
I’m an old GMC and Chevy aficionado and that is the coolest GMC I have ever seen
SUPER AWESOME !!
I remember kids stories about the local Ford dealer unloading this generation of pickup from the trailer. The frame rails had large holes in the C channel to reduce weight and you could see the box fold towards the cab.
That hood seems to be quite holey.
28:48. I also say CAD drawing is “cardboard aided design”. 😂
That borgeson shaft is made really well! My non borgeson stock replacment shaft needed the rag joint tightened with washers, and a feeler gauge stuck in the slip joint there was so much slop.
nice episode 💪
For the record, I have an active exhaust system on my Mustang. I can have a conversation or be a child looking for attention whenever I would like. 🤣
That is going to be a fun ride I love the broncos I have a 79 big block one that I'm restoring
Redhead makes great steering boxes... much tighter than factory.
Thank you, I needed this content 😂😅
The best steering upgrade for a 2nd gen Broncp is the crusher at the recycler's.
I'd love to see the same thing done with an old seventies k5 and a Plymouth Trailduster! Both with their respective new age drivetrains! Then you'd have the trifecta of classic SUVs!!
DeBoss doesn’t like loud exhaust… got it ✍🏼 😂
Hahahahaha! Im bald to Bro. Good content. Keep going.
I guess I’ll go out to the shop
Question❓. Running Stock F-150 manifolds will it affect the Horsepower and if so how much? Sorry if I seem stupid l just don't know and was wondering.
If it's manual transmission, the hydraulic clutch pedal will crack the firewall. . Add extra bracing there. I liked these rigs; been all over Nevada in a couple of them. Straight six plenty power, low end torque great.
Aaron doesn't say much. But when he does, you should listen.
That thread looks just like fast flite bow string and it is waxed too.
Where that cutout is on the crossmember is a cause for concern as there is still a bit of metal missing from where the cuts were made. I'd be welding at least those cuts up next time it comes out as a preventative for future cracking.
With your solid front axle are the spring shackles in front or rear? I noticed that all 18 wheelers have the shackles in the rear but my Jeep CJ has them in the front. I have heard that changing them to the rear makes the steering more stable.
Sir you need to go visit Woody's new shop at the Skid Factory.
Looks like good old Masey grey color paint .
Why not use the mustang shorty headers. Those come out low and narrow. Beautiful pieces from the factory.
hey Rich, I know this video is a few weeks old but I would like to ask for your opinion.
I know you are converting your bronco to auto, but i plan on doing the opposite in my own 94 bronco (coyote swap with manual). my question is - given that the wheel base of a bronco is tiny and the transfer case must be married in order to fit, which manual transmission would you put behind the coyote? thanks in advance
Question about the exhaust. Why not include a H or X pipe merge?
I have a 16 F150 with the Coyote. It has electronic assisted power steering. Not sure what year they started that.
Love this build. I drive a 89 full size bronco and putting it back together as I drive it.
2011 for electric power steering on half ton trucks.
You need a hydro boost and get rid of that power booster and will give you a lot of room under hood .
You don’t use glows anymore. Way?
Not hating on the build, but I don’t understand the 5.0 with the axle ratio’s he chose. It certainly has the wide power band for it, but aren’t cruising rpm’s gonna be way high?
.69 sixth gear in a 6r80. Should be around 2000 rpm at 70mph with 4.11 and 33s. Nothing wrong with that
👍👍
It's ore gun.....!
They told me my 2018 f150 had the electric steering too because it included the turn knob reverse bs that I've never touched. Steering has always felt loose even from factory the dealer said they all feel like that. So I'm unsure if it's a post 18+ if it'll be any different boss
It's "electronic assisted" steering
How could you buy such a hunk of junk😢
@fastinradfordable young and dumb my friend, 46 grand mistake.. live and learn. It still runs.. after it's paid off here in a couple months I'm ripping the engine an Trans out an having them redone. A 70k mile 5.0 shouldn't be ticking or eating oil screw what Ford says.
You might need a brase for your transfer case
when I had mone we used to call that gen front end a "baby louie"
so its rwd only?
Lol bought a new trans Mount for my build brand new part didn't come with a new nut spent time finding one
Hey,Rich. Why don"t you put an H cross over pipe on your exhaut ?Thats five -ten free horsepower for the price of a pipe.Your engine will breathe better.
‘Free’
=For a price + hard skilled work.
Ain’t even close to “free”
Stainless needs to be passivated after welding or it’s not “stainless” anymore.
Be nice with a 205 transfer case and the Ho .
Genuine question but why no x or h pipe in the exhaust? I thought v8s needed a crossover for scavenging
😎👍
“I could work with one hand…I’m not stupid”
…cuts directly to using a massive drill press with a large sharp chunk of metal and hold it with your hand….
Keep it up you might get ur wish😢
-someone whose lost an appendage in the automotive industry
The ultra thin cutting disks and no guard make me cringe every time. I've seen those things blow up a few times and they don't mess around
Are you guys not putting out any content on Sat/Sun anymore. Where's all your videos? More boat. More Fargo. More K-car. More Audi. Let's go!
Just wondering if the frames are the same in the vans? I have a 76 e150 that i want to convert to 4x4. Anyone have a clue?
And get youreself a tailors tape measure they work great
Nothing better than grabbing a hot shifter in the summertime 😫
Surprised you didn't also use resonators on your exhaust
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How about that 2.8L duramax into an 88-98 GM truck?
2.8 is going into a 96 dodge ram for the EV swap
the Mustang didnt have power steering??? i thought ALL Mustangs (certainly after around 2000) had power steering as standard?
And I thought dual exhaust without a coyote was heard.
You know a lot of your UA-camr Buddies I've got those fire 4 post lifts vice grip garage has one Dylan cool has one I don't know if you know morsky he's got one I'm really surprised to boss garage don't have one
Because them 4 post lifts was sponsored
With the Edison swap coming up, things might change a little. If it all works out like I hope, I will outgrow this shop. We are looking at a 32 bay shop to do the conversions in, and it might need some hoists....
All vehicles with the 5.0 V8 have electric power steering. There is no factory power steering pump that bolts to a 5.0 V8
I wanna advise against a solid axle in the front it's just gonna ride rougher, especially if you are not going off road
in my day i was filthy and my names not rich. have a great day rich..
Why don't you get the hair transplant like the misadventure lab guys?
Because it's very freeing not caring what you look like or caring what other people think of you
@@DEBOSSGARAGE screw them, do it for you.
You haven't scraped this thing yet
It was appraised the highest in the fleet, so no, not scrapped yet
Because unnecessary back pressure and heat that a big muffler would solve
every time you say "cardboard accurately drawn" in my head im like "[eyeroll] its cardboard assisted design" but then i remember that i dont gatekeep fabrication or cardboard, and maybe i should shut the fuck up.
im working on it.
Oh come on, Rich. You can be stupidly good looking too.
The last 20% takes 80% of the time
Pretty sure no coyote has a power steering pump
That’s correct. Any coyote has electric power steering
I love ya Rich, but it physically hurts me when you pronounce Oregon that way.
It’s a made up word for the land that was violently stolen from natives.
Imagine how they feel.
In the 1800s alone american govt paid out $100,000,000 for native scalp bounty’s.
And that’s in 1800s dollars😢
Imagine if someone was claiming to be hurt by the pronunciation of the land obtained for a bounty on your family of ancestors.
That’s what hurt means.
@fastinradfordable your inflation is off. 100 million in the 1800s didn't exist. Yes they stole it from the native Americans, yes that was bad. Same thing is happening now. But 100 million in 1800s isn't happening. That was fairy dust then
100 million in 1800s is not happening. Thats when the gold standard was still in effect. There wasn't 100 million in gold then.
@@fastinradfordable Cause they were savages, not the hippie peace lovers they are portrayed to be
you need to get off of breadtube, man.@@fastinradfordable
It’s pronounced ore-gun
Love the 20 year old comment.... Also applies to middle aged men when they get Harleys and do the same BS.
When are you going to do AK5 blazer instead of this Ford junk?
The best steering upgrade for this Ford would be putting a Cummins in it.
