Dowel systems are great for adjustability. Take down and reassemble, cannot say I’ve seen that for a staircase. Congratulations you now have a dowel house, LOL good video and nice driveway. Need a wave pool next. Yeahhhhh Going surfing next weekend east coast FL. Will be thinking of u. 🤙
my suggestion as well. Did the same slide out drawer/step as the first step getting up into the bed in our promaster (older folks can't just hop up with ease)
Looks awesome you guys....So fun to watch all the great progress....We would love to come stay for a couple of days once you have things up and running! :)
Nate, even if you make that first step on wheels and a pull out, you could hinge the top and use for storage too. You may have thought of that but if not, hmmm? Great job and you make it look easy. The drive way and connecting road look great too! Making it look like a real homestead!!
Nate the tiny house is looking like a house inside, great imagination. I can’t wait to start building mine, I think I got a good deal on 7 used dual pane windows and a 6 foot slider $400. My tiny house won’t be on wheels and will be 720sq ft...lol now I need the land. Great you are Grading your driveway and adding rock, that will make a big difference. You’ve been Busy!!
Your so special, I'm sure it will be beautiful and very functional. When the two of you put your heads together magic happens. I need you for my remodel
I bet your vehicles need a good wash after that driveway went in. You've gotten so much done & it's looks great. I'm really enjoying these. Take care guys.✌
Good morning Nate and Shannon What's going on the stairs look great way to go super proud can't wait to see the next video I do have a suggestion You might try to get a railing installed that slides out of the way when you go to use the stairs
Stairs came out nice, Nate! One recommendation would be to add a railing going up the stairs (at least on the wall side. Gives ya something to hold on to and shouldn't be in the way...
I agree. Those stairs' support structure doesn't look nearly heavy duty or braced enough. I would think they should have internal cleats for the tops and maybe 3/4 ply for some of the vertical supports. Wood glue as well, maybe he added that, couldn't tell.
Wow, I have some binging to do. This is the first notification I've received since you were delivering and riding your m/c. That's been forever. So good to see ya and love the tiny house. I looked around here for just 1/2 acre to put my storage bldg and a little garden and some chickens on but there's nothing. 😢 Tc and I'll be going back and watching. 🙏🙏✝️
I know you said about adding drawers on the last 2 sitars steps cut a half moon on the uprear one as so you do not need a Handel on the top of the Bottum step
I love the stairs and all the content. Have you thought about the air flow around the refridgerator and its clearence ?? (Generally, all Samsung refrigerator models requires a minimum distance of 50mm for the sides and rear of the fridge and 100mm from the top of the fridge.)
Tiny house is looking Good.... It'll be a McTiny compared to the Van.... It looks worth it to have the Driveway done by Professional's.... It looks Great & it's All Done....
The stairs are not IRC code standard. This is a house, not a van. You can see the flex using 1/2 material and should be a minimum of 5/8. The treads are thicker than the frame.
Since you experienced it all. Would you get a big van or a small van or a truck camper? Or would u just scrap all of that and stick with your tiny home?
Hello Nate, love all your videos have been a subscriber for a couple years now I think your videos are very informational what I love the most is you're not afraid to try and tackle something on your own if you make a mistake so be it you start over and do it again I think that's a great attitude to have in life. I do have a question and you may have said this in past videos and I may have not caught it but do you actually have a job besides your job on UA-cam just a question you can answer this if you want to and if you don't so be it have a great day and keep up the great work.
Careful not to put uneven loads on one side. It will tip over while driving. It can also tip over while still depending on how much weight is on one side
The stairs looking so cool can't wait to see more on the next one, great job guys.👏👏👏👍👍
Big like 👍. The stairs are coming along. Do cool you are putting in a driveway. See you on the next video 📹.
You're a big help..... I am making a small room and the stairs going to attic is my problem. Thanks for sharing. From the Philippines.
Absolutely Brilliant 🥳🥳🥳

Take care. We can wait. You do what you need and keep healthy, mentally and physically. 👋🚐🌏
Well done...great progress.
The first step: how about a heavy duty drawer slide? they come in different weight bearing types. I'm enjoying the build.
my suggestion as well. Did the same slide out drawer/step as the first step getting up into the bed in our promaster (older folks can't just hop up with ease)
I was thinking the same thing: locking drawer slides. A step that rolls or slides freely doesn’t sound entirely safe….
Wow! It’s coming along nicely. Hope it all continues to work out. Peace
A great job of incorporating storage into the step. Good luck with the rest of the build.
Its looking really great. You both are doing a great job. Can’t wait to see the finished tiny house. Great videos always. Stay safe.
You seem so sweet! The stairs look great, nice work :)
Take your time, you have made progress. Looking forward to next video.
Lots to do Nate but it is certainly coming along!
Thanks for what you do!! Look forward to every single one of your videos
Great job Nate! 👍One day at a time. 😊

Looking good guys! I really like how the road turned out. Thanks for sharing be safe...
Awesome job on the stairs. Great seeing the shower in the tiny house. The driveway is going to be real nice. Enjoyed and thanks.
Your so special, I'm sure it will be beautiful and very functional. When the two of you put your heads together magic happens. I need you for my remodel
Entertaining video, well paced, keep up the good work.
Stairs look great. Loved seeing the road being made too.
Thank you

You two have so much talent! Love watching your channel!
Are you not worried about the wood cracking? Never seen stairs so skinny. Good job though!
I agree. Those stairs' support structure doesn't look nearly heavy duty or braced enough. I would think they should have internal cleats for the tops and maybe 3/4 ply for some of the vertical supports. Wood glue as well, maybe he added that, couldn't tell.
@@aerosailor1979 yeah I was thinking the same. When the wood bowed as he was walking, I was like ut oh!
Then you haven't watched many tiny house builds! Weight watch for everything is so important
@@lesleyhughes3174 watched hundreds, weight watch doesn't mean a thing when stuff breaks..
@@lesleyhughes3174 I've actually watched many... keeping the weight down is one thing. Building unstable or potentially unsafe stairs is another.
Great job. You will be in your new house in no time. peace my fellow UA-camr.
Pretty massive accomplishment I'd say! It's looking good Nate, nice work. 👌
Doing a wonderful job. 🥂
Keep up the great work brother don't worry about friday's video - none of us want you to burn out. Take the breaks as you need them!
Doing a great job, as usual!

5:25 lol "A step in the right direction."
I know you said about adding drawers on the last 2 sitars steps cut a half moon on the uprear one as so you do not need a Handel on the top of the Bottum step
You did a lot of work and made it look easy and it's not. Hope the stairs is solid and that the tiny homes holds up over time.

Looks great! Great job!>Sue
Stairs now make sense at the top and bottom. You will sure be happy to have that gravel when the monsoons hit
Great job guys!
Nate, have you considered using Kreg pocket-holed jigs ?
Duude I'm building a small house, not really a tiny house but I always loved the tiny house stairs... I'm gonna try to build such stairs in my house
Tiny house is looking Good....
It'll be a McTiny compared to the Van....

I’ve seen your doppelgänger!!! On Trent and Ally he’s got reddish hair
Wow, the similarity in mannerisms is wild!
Personality of each entirely different though. Thankfully, for Nate!
Since you experienced it all. Would you get a big van or a small van or a truck camper? Or would u just scrap all of that and stick with your tiny home?
I'm building a tiny house right now and about to start planning the stairs. I want storage under, too. Is this all 3/4 plywood? No stringers?
It's all 1/2" plywood. Cross dowel construction
is this the same one you had in florida?
Nice driveway, looks like the contractor knows what they're doing. It will last a long time...............

I don't understand how you did the top step? So it's strong enough to hold weight
what are you doing for outlets? I havent seen you pull any wire.
We'll be running wiring through conduit. It will all be exposed but most will be hidden behind cabinets/ furniture.
@@ElementLife Just remember the fridge needs to be ran on its own circuit. 12/2 20amp breaker.

just taking it one step at a time (;
NO WHEELS on a step!!!!!!! 😡 Felt would be better. 😍
Be careful on uneven steps, and especially on the last step up, your brain will go on auto mode you're at risk of tripping
This channel is boring lately
Lots to do Nate but it is certainly coming along!
