I’ve been on birth control for 8.5 years and for the last 3 years or so I’ve been struggling with reoccurring UTI’s. I’ve been hospitalized 3 times because those UTI’s lead to sepsis twice and a severe kidney infections once. One of those times I was in the ICU, been followed by both Urology and Uro-Gynecology and nobody has answers why this is happening but I’ve always wondered if my birth control was contributing to it. Had so many tests (ultrasounds, CT scans, cystoscopy, labs, EVERYTHING). Never been on any other medications and have been relatively healthy.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm so sorry to hear about your health struggles. I was right there with you. I've been so frustrated by the traditional medical system and western doctors...that's ultimately what led me to search for a holistic doctor and it was life-changing. She had me take a gut microbiome and vaginal microbiome test and it revealed a lot about my health that wasn't showing up on traditional tests. She was able to help me find natural solutions to heal me from the inside-out. I hope this helps! Reach out to me on IG if you want more info 🫶🏽

Glad you posted about this. I never really had any interest in BC until I was in a relationship. I tried out Nexplanon-I was bleeding nonstop for 2-3 months and I had NO sex drive. I got UTIs. More recently I was interested in getting the IUD but I think I’ll stick to tracking my cycles. I forget what it’s called and there’s a book as well.

Thank you so much for sharing! It is such a personal decision and there's no right or wrong answer, but what I shared in the video is information I wish I had before I started. Would love to know the name of the book if you end up remembering the name! 🫶🏽
