I personally like the long-form format. Here's why - substance. There's only so much you can learn from headlines and 10 minute videos. Your comparisons and long runs do several things for us viewers: 1) proves to us you put the shoes through the paces & 2) gives us a sense of what the experience might be like.
Unfortunately, our world has become too obsessed with the short-form headline but it misses so much substance.
Or to put it in the words of the late Steve Jobs - you can look at a picture of banana, paint it from different angles, and analyze it all you want. But it won't be as rich as knowing the banana by touching it, smelling it, eating it, etc. You're getting as close to allowing us to do that vicariously through you. So keep at it bro!

Great video as always. I’ve come to really enjoy your longer length videos. Often times, I watch while I get ready for my morning run, then listen driving to work where I finished it. It’s a refreshing take in a crowded market. I especially enjoy it when you take the GoPro on the run and chat and add your own personality. You are allowing us to know Yowana the person, not just Yowana the ShoeTuber/UA-camr. Keep being you and remember to Up Your Best.

I like Bill Simmons… and hey.. I like the format, I have said before I treat your videos like podcast, I let it play as I fold clothes, or load the dishwasher.
And hey, if you go the Ben Parkes route, and purchase your own shoes.., that’s cool.., if you accept complimentary shoes.., that’s cool too.., you have built up the trust with you audience.
    keep up the great work

  • @brandall101

You’re getting a ton of traction around the net. All you need is another year and you’ll probably blow up to 100k subs and get all the early releases
As a suggestion, it wouldn’t hurt to keep both the long format then post edited portions that focus more on the shoes themselves, maybe portions of the review.. That would help capture both markets. Lots of big podcasts post ‘clips’ like this that are around 7 minutes in length. The people who run as much as you likely don’t have the time to additionally spend an hour daily. Additionally, you could pick titles that can engender better engagement (hate to say clickbait, but aspects that draw attention or that folks would search for).

I’m enjoying the long video format. Nobody is obliged to finish it in one go and I often pause it and listen again whenever I’m free. Despite watching your vids almost daily, I now can muster self control and not buy shoes on a weekly basis. 😂
I made a rule to keep a rotation and use them for at least 300-350 kms before ever considering another pair.
Any “daily training” type shoes IMO are good walking shoes. Tempo and race day shoes I think are meant to be used on faster days. I wobble when I walk in Tyr Valkyrie speedworks but it gets stable the moment I start running even at my easy run pace.
