FYI: Puppets can not only break down doors now but they can also jump through windows. The only safe place is on the roof of buildings and you will need a bow and lots of arrows. You haven’t see a horde yet. They can be quite large, 10-20 puppets. Puppets also respawn in just a couple of minute. You kill one and 2min latter a new one pops up! Note: If you put a lock on a door the puppets can’t get through it. Windows can be boarded up to keep them out.

FYI 2: the body of water you were walking around is a River. You could have swum across it (no shark), and you could have drunk it too (your water was quite low).

you really need to increase lot chance in settings and puppet spawn settings
Roofs are NOT safe, I've seen quite a few spawn out of nowhere on roofs
The update can get pretty hairy, as a player with 1500 hours in the game I died twice in my first 48 hours to zombies. It would be cool to see you back on the server sir, come check out what the community’s doing.
I agree. As a player with around 3300 hours I died twice in around an hour. The first time 15 or so puppets spawned on my head. The second time I was filling a gas container at the gas station in Z2. Another player heard the horde noise. I didn't get to hear it. Before I knew it I had a horde on me.
if unseen by puppets or mechs, you can remain undetected when you are in a bush. also, i have only encountered hordes in towns, cities, and bases. The countryside is very sparse if anything. Just need to watch out for wolves and bears too

What server settings are you running?
I’d have to look. I’m on single player and have changed the file a few times over the years but don’t remember which configuration I’m playing on.
I have a few suggestions if you're open to em brother. I had a couple different SCUM streamers take a que from my settings

I died at that gas station twice already because of hordes.
Why play single player when you have a chance to play on the server? I can see using the single player as a place to build or test things out. Just seems as a waste to not play on your community server.
