Oh my gosh !!! Thank you sooo much for this viedio ! Many Thanks to the Captain and crew for saving this beautiful boat !! My granddaddy bought that boat brand new . His name was Hugh James Finn ( Hootie Finn ) he named it after my grandma Dora Faye . This is so amazing! I would love to know where the boat is and perhaps take a photo with it sometime. This just warms my heart to know that the boat never changed name and that it is still around . So sorry that it was taking on water . Sure hope it gets fixed . I always wondered what happened to it . I am thrilled watching this knowing that my grandparents had it when it was in its full glory days brand new .Thankful to all the Captains that have kept it running all these years .
Great video Andy. Well done to all involved in the lift. Glad to see Capt chihuahua making sure everyone is safe. Thanks Andy for your excellent report.
Thanks for filming this incident. I'm sure the guys that work there think it's mundane or oh so boring because they do it every day, but it's not every day that we see a classic shrimper (Looks like a DESCO boat to me) pulled out of the water. Change all the clothes and the cars, and this could be a 1955-1970+/- time frame.
@@MinorcanMullet I'm sorry, I was really wanting to know the name of the boat yard. I have seen some of the old ones out on Sapelo and I know of the one right there by the mane pleasure boat landing but I didn't recognize that one. I don't need a marine railway but I do do love the history behind them.

The Dora F is working out of Brunswick Ga, off on Bay St. I'm sure Captain Johnny would enjoy meeting you!
Hi Andy. This is very interesting.
Glad you think so! It’s a bit different, but I try to stay close to a “water” theme with the channel. This seems to fit.

Yep Desco built in 1955
Nice work Andy
Thanks 👍
This stuff is always rush rush but careful decisions as well
Reminds me of my yesterdays. Good stuff right there.
That was interesting to see how they do that.
This is an example of trying to explain the operation vs. showing the operation with video. Much less confusing when you’re able to see it.
“I don’t know if this is OSHA or another sort of deal” 😂
Enjoyed this video. Can you tell me where this marine railway is located?
Brunswick, Georgia

Audio is fine
Thanks. I really depend on your feedback to hopefully get it right.
No it's not. The volume on my Macbook pro is on full and I still can't hear it.
Wow, this t wasn’t going to be long before she found bottom.. sheesh
Scary situation
That’s awful but at least they are prepared
Any update on the Dora F ?
It's a good thing another boat wasn't using the lift. What would they do if it was in use? Are there any other lifts nearby?
About an hour away
Can you yell into the mic any more?....I really enjoyed that part of the video!!😂
Still learning the new setup. I’m getting better…… I hope.
