This is one of my favorite bands ...to bad more people haven't heard them....they rock my world!!!!!
One of my favorite bands of all time. So underrated.
YES!! Great choice! They started out in the late 80's but this 91 album is what catapulted them worldwide on MTV. I saw them live earlier this year--they're still rockin away. This whole album was awesome. I love "Chain Reaction". Glad you guys liked it!
"Everybody's talkin"
@@jeffsummers1894 - Heck yeah! Another great choice from that album
I cannot believe y’all are listening to Drivin n Cryin! They’re quite possibly the best bar/college rock band in America. I’ve seen them at least 20 times in my life and they were absolutely fantastic each and every single time! Wow! I’m very impressed y’all are listening to them. I love them! You should definitely listen to their song “Straight to Hell.” They usually perform that song last in their shows and everyone knows the words to that song. THANK YOU!!!
Drivin' N' Cryin' are some of my fellow Georgia boys. Check out Honeysuckle Blue
My dad played this song all the time in his work truck. We rocked out daily.
"Honeysuckle Blue" is another D&C banger worth reacting
I saw them in concert in 91 for this album, it was awesome. I miss those days lol.
I love it! I would have never thought you would be digging on drivin’ n cryin’. This Atlanta band was played heavily on college radio in the mid to late eighties but hit it big in the early nineties. I love their music
“Build a Fire” is also a Banger by them ..
Great song. So us Rush Hour.
@@davidmhewett44.. Yes another Banger off of that Album ..
I still have that vinyl and play it a lot.
@@davidmhewett44 ..Outstanding !!! I didn’t have vinyl but had the CD when it was released … That album had a lot of Bangers on it …
@@xtrmfc the whole cd is amazing. I was at UGA right before they made it and got to see them live in bars many time. They're truly talented musicians and great guys.
An extremely underrated southern rock band.
Drivin n Cryin representing the ATL
I grew up in the Atl 80's, 90's shirtless shoeless weekends in the summer, outdoor parties with bands everywhere.
They cross so many styles... GREAT band
My favorite band since I discovered them in 1991, they always deliver music from the heart and not the wallet.
This song was all over the place back in the day.
5months late on this one but gotta throw in "honey suckle blue" and THE classic "straight to hell" .. drivin n cryin is a hidden gem for many. GA band so I've been lucky enough to see them a good bit.
Wow great song!! I haven't heard this in years!!
As a 20 something from GA in the early 90's, I saw them many times live, I was never disapointed.
Build a Fire & Fly Me I used to cover both songs in a band. Both songs always packed the dance floor. 🤟
The band I worked for did both of these also, Nine Daze Wonder in Memphis, TN. Wild huh?
A totally under rated band
Yes, just pure rock with no manufactured additions. Nice
You have to do Honeysuckle Blues. Please. Great guitar in it as well.
GREAT catalog, Atlanta band. Check out more! (I recommend Honeysuckle Blue and Straight to Hell).
This whole album is great. The Innocent, Rush Hour, and my favorite Honeysuckle Blue.
From my great state, good ol’ Georgia boys. Love them.
Love these guys, "Build Fire" so fire!
Never heard this band....I LOVE IT. WOW🥰🤟
Good tune from a fairly underrated / unknown / forgotten band. Usually if someone knows any of their music, its this song, but I wouldn't really peg them as a "one hit wonder" - they were a great band that has been around the Southeast at least for years
I just watch your reaction to driving and crying Fly Me Courageous. Asia made the comment about how it sounded she wasn't sure if that was in the equipment that they recorded with or what. I got to hear them live when they were promoting the album here in Charleston South Carolina. It's not in the equalizer in the studio that's how they really sounded live. Thank you for the trip down memory Lane, those were some good old days.
Was that at the Music Farm back in the day or the Windjammer?
Myskin's Tavern downtown Charleston it used to be at number 5 Faber Street
So great to see someone doing DNC reactions. Great band that has been making music for 40 years. Kevn is an awesome, humble dude. I used to work for record labels in the early 2000's and I did a show at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY that Kevn was performing at. After the show Me and him went to a small bar and had some drinks together. While we were there he serenaded the other bar patrons by playing some tunes on his acoustic guitar right there on the barstool at the bar.
They are a southern band. Them and Hootie and the Blowfish used to play in SC all the time. I saw them a bunch bc my bfs band used to open up for them. Nicest guys ever.
Love it! And you all too❤😂. My band used to play this in the '90's , I'm a drummer, one of my favorite cover songs to play. I love the hair bands and your reactions.
Saw them 3 times in Atlanta. Incredible live show.
Keep it up diving in to the late 80's metal scene... I'm loving it
This whole album is so good! What an under the radar banger!! They're from the Atlanta area too. Another 90's banger-I'm not sure if you've covered them is Everclear-Santa Monica! It hasThe Boss sounding lyrics and is just a great song about breaking free of something! One of my all time favorite 90s songs!
Honeysuckle Blue is another banger 🖖🏻🤘🏻
Yesssss, kick ass song!
Fun fact- Kevn Kinney lifted the main riff from Ray Charles' What'd I Say. Love this band, never understood why they aren't a household name. Easily my favorite Southern Rock band.
Guitar was the late Buren Fowler who had been guitar tech for REM
If you went to college in the Southeast in the 90's, i can almost guarantee you saw DnC in concert. I saw Kevn Kinney in Athens earlier this year - still puts on a great show.
Love this band... Kevin is a great songwriter...up there with Townes and Bob for me...Please play HONEYSUCKLE BLUES...and Straight to Hell
I have to say....never heard this song....I like it
An absolute classic BANGER. Saw them live a few times, always a rocking show. There's a lot of great heartland alternative rock like this. You should hit up The Jayhawks, probably start with Waiting For The Sun.
I just watched this again just because i love the song. I just noticed that tshirt. Thats an awesome shirt BJ!! DONT QUIT/DO IT.
The Singer is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Kevn Kinney) He moved to Atlanta in 1985 and started the band.
You should try this song....
"Honeysuckle Blue"
Feel the southern breezes
And the southern wind
Blowin' down around this
Dying land
D'Agostino's late last night I saw
A boy fifteen on the road
Nothing in the pocket
His hand to the sky
Nowhere else to go
Can you see it
Or believe it
What's beyond east orange
And farther yet
Come with me
I'll show you where the
Dogwood's bloom it's true
Lost n' found n' lost again
To the
Honeysuckle Blue
Runnin' through these
Caverns of gold
Runs a river of death indeed
An old hotel serves as a
Shelter for children
Of the street
Abandoned by the promised land
Set sail on your own
How much longer
Will the well
Be dry for those
Who roam
I got a ticket
In my pocket
To send the corner man
He's never been
Have you ever seen the
Blue ridge mountains boy
Or the chatahoochee
To the Honeysuckle Blue
ON MY TOP 10 BEST EVER SONGS
Kevn opened for the Indigo Girls last year. I’ve been following DNC since 1989. So glad you like their music.
Great song and great band. Hope you check out more of their songs.
Probably the best live mosh pit tune ever!
USA pilots played this going into Iraq.....btw, I'm from Scotland and went to college in Brevard, NC, saw these guys a few times, amazing...think I was the first guy to go to one of their concerts in a kilt!!
I wanna go to Scotland to see the William Wallace statue
"The Innocent" is another great song from them.
Smoke by Drivin And Cryin rocks
TURN IT UP OR TURN IT OFF!!!!
From that short time span between hair metal & grunge
Build a fire should definitely be next
Haha “run the yellow light” fallin down Asia🤣
Damn I heard that song in so long I done forgot about it - whoever requested for y’all mad props 🤘
Honeysuckle Blue is awesome!!!
Used to be music like this on the radio was just another day.
Banger
Just awesome 🎉
Check out Angel City - Marseilles / Krokus-heatstrokes ... These guyz r power rock ....
Awesome song even better reaction, I always thought the lead singer sounded like Tom Petty!!!!!!!!!
He up seeing them playing in the local bars here in Savannah
"The Innocent" is a great tune from this album. Though the whole album is great
You can still go see Drivin n cryin with Kevn Kinney lead vocals
You can thank Hendrix for all of the jamming in the world today, he invented it
another perfect driving down the highway song!
Someone recommended this one? Good for them....yeah, a guilty pleasure back in the day.....bought the whole CD because of this song. Was hoping they'd become the next big thing but it died right here....too bad. It was a cool song.
Georgia Boys 🎸🥁
Great reaction 🎉
I bought this album because of this song, and devoured the album. It was a great album, I thought they would make a bigger mark...great choice guys, I like hearing more obscure artists
peace love M
This song was actually big with the coalition when the Gulf War kicked off. Crazy to think, especially with the line “mother America is brandishing her weapons, she keeps me safe and warm with threats and misconceptions”. Guess nobody dances to lyrics for real 💀awesome band, I’ve seen them a bunch and they’ve got a good 10-12 songs that are all time classics. At least down here 🤷♂️
Now y'all have to do Brother Cain - Got No Shame
One kick ass song Ty
Forgot all about that sound. Good one hit wonder. Try "In the Meantime" by Spacehog. another really good, but quirky, one hit wonder song from the 90's. I think you'll like it.
These guys are out of Atlanta GA. Southern Rock at it's best!
I'm an old man I started about 1990 on their second album though I heard so much buzz about the first one when I say their second one I mean once they had some notoriety I know they had two albums before they got notoriety, at any rate an album you can buy as a CD off of Amazon though I have Amazon unlimited and it's not on there is down out law by Kevin Kenny, I know his name is misspelled and I really don't care but the album is probably as good as fly me courageous in many ways but will break your heart buy the CD
I see your wearing a Atl Falcons hat. This is Atlanta Ga. Band.
checkin in...
You wore the right hat, they’re from ATL
Omg never thought y'all would know this band . Oh I used to jam this ...had the old days cassette you remember those ? Lol jk
The song by them build a fire is good too
Saw this band many times with rem lotta good bands were in georgia
Great song with hard driving Marshall amps!!
👍
Build a Fire is just as good
Can you do Honeysuckle blue by drivin n cryin?
*aint heard
Love this album
