Finally some people that agree with me. Been a fan for years and if i was Russ i would do whatever it takes to bring Steve back!!!! I would probably cry if that became true!!!!!
It’s amazing how in a live performance they are able to perform as good or better than when they are in the studio. They have room for that extra flair and energy but with the same level of accuracy and control of a studio recording. Despite the fact that they are all very much soloists in their own record lanes, they blend together without needing to attenuate their individual virtuosity. They are a highly confident ensemble that I believe is hard to come by nowadays. Furthermore, younger jazz fusion groups of today are close but don’t quite fire off the enthusiasm in the way the Rippingtons do on stage.
Totally agree: this band is just not the same without the Bongo Boy, the master of the percussive toolbox, Steve Reid. Bring him back in the band....Steve was part of the greatest era of this band.
Such great music, sad that there's only a minority of people that appreciate good music.

The recorded version on Black Diamond with Arturo Sandoval is one of my top 5 Favorite Rippingtons songs.

As humans get dumber by the second it’s gonna be hard for them to comprehend music. We’re moving backwards.
Too much talent for such a small gathering- where is everybody?!?
