- With me featuring the FDG lately, I figured I'd give a taste of what's waiting after it, the big GK. This game shows what a massive bully you can be in this ship as I push into B and practically absorb whatever the enemy has to throw at me while forcing them all back. Still running the tank build I recommended back in January, but you can find it at the end.

Look at BBs on enemy side. Their GK pushed without support and came last. I suspect that's why lots of BBs don't push at all as they can't accurately predict when a push makes sense v will get them wrecked.
You had yourself and a tier 8 and 9 BB in the top 6, they had a single tier 9.
Age old problem of a bunch of randoms not being able to coordinate, and that's before considering how people seemingly can't play to the objectives as per your comments on the Izumo.
Great example of what you can do in a BB.
I imagine the change to the repairs being a fixed cost hasn't sunk into the minds of many players who would seem to prefer to finish the game with a lot of health but a loss rather than risking their ship for a win. Can't see that changing any time soon.
i use 420 guns because it's increased "Oomph" that they have.

I started running your tank build back in January after the first video. I still use it, but it's surprising how much hate this build can get from people who insist that you must run a secondary build on German BBs.

Flamu, enjoyed your videos and especially this one. I have a very pertinent question. About Concealment. Yes, you mentioned about detection range to 13+ KM. As I observed, the enemy was already within the range from the beginning (start of fight) to almost end match. And when you fire off - you are already detected and I saw you always fired off moment your guns are reloaded. So for a brawler personality such as yourself - I conclude that concealment on GK is not useful. And if you agree for most of the GK battles played with such personalities, where would you allocate the 4-points to ?

Got 3mil potential damage in my Roon once because a Bismarck squad of 2 kept firing HE at me at max range. Was a good game.

Hi Flamu, for a player who likes to go on sea now and then, is it possible to apply the Bismarck 2ndary build for Grosser Kurfurst same way as you did for the Frederick before you gain enough free exp to respec the captain? Or does it better just use some lower tier ship to create lets say 10point captain and put him on Kurfurst?

I'm confused about how the fire mechanic works on BB's specifically. When you run fire prevention does that make the entire center of your ship one single fire zone as opposed to the usual 2? Not sure how that works as far as normal vs fire prevention.

Nice video Flamu, i know its kind of old but you haved a little problem with the audio timing on the video, see at 9:04 when u kill the minotaur, its a bit annoying, screw the surprise. I love the GKUR match btw.

flamu you need to try the ifhe secondary build apparently the dps against bow on bbs is legend when your brawling

can you use this for bismarck and FdG aswell since i dont wont to respec for T10
actually the difference between the 406mm and the 420mm is:
420mm: more Alpha, less DpM, slightly less Pen under 11km, slightly more Pen over 11km
406mm: less Alpha, more DpM, slightly more Pen under 11km, slightly less Pen over 11km
Personally I prefer the 406s for the shorter reload since the accuracy is very meh so I do see the 420s as an option and an upgrade as such
From my personal experience I think that the Bismarck works better with a secondary build, but since the FdG is also a big ship the tank build works good. Also, the FdG (as well as the Kurfürst of course) tends to get more into the high tier games, where people don't brawl that often...

Flamu, what do you think of the work in progress AP bombs for US carriers?
I remember supporting my Destroyers in my Iowa while they capped and my div mate kept flaming me, on my why i do this almost every game. I eventually had to stop divisioning with them because they were being far to annoying and distracting.
Flamu do you get good accuracy every game? I've missed perfectly aimed salvos so many times - shells drop into the water too much.
Risheen Mukherjee Use the accuracy module if it bothers you. I use that myself and have no problems with the accuracy, even if it is subpar.
his replays are probably cherrypicked to show mostly matches where he has good RNG so no, I doubt he does. Its pretty normal for a GK to have bad dispersion as well as most other German BBs.
I guess you've never seen any of his streams. I find he's usually fairly accurate.
Give Me Your Milk well, not really, I havent watched his streams. and I know he's really accurate with his shots. I meant that the kurfurst has 255m lateral dispersion at 20km without the mod. I've always found the Montana to have the best dispersion of any of the BBs in the game, but here, while the dispersion looks pretty bad, he tends to get double citadels with just his front guns. thats... a little ridiculous, for a kurfurst. with a montana or a yamato, sure, but I have a hard time believing the results he acheived with just a 7% decrease in dispersion. well done, nonetheless. of course, like the others said, I'm sure Flamu chooses the best of his replays for youtube.
Got Citadelhits on Kurfürst with my Montana twice on one day. So it is possible on long Distance but not in close Combat.

1250 Victory Camos...and all those event flags...damn... I didn't really like Bismarck, haven't bought into FDG yet...not really sure I want to bother with 8 guns and wonky dispersion for another tier and it's a long grind through Tier IX. Still cool to see the "end."

After taking torpedoes on the nose, is Yamato damage in the nose also reduced?
Yep, damage saturation works for every ship, however its always best to torpedobeat them even with a saturated bow ; )

Don't rage about those close kills Flamu. I got a game last few days and I shot an enemy ship down to 1 HP.
Also I love the people killing a ship at 1k HP that you have set on fire with your CV and he WILL burn down. But obviously 1k hp is worth a BB salvo.
Thats just how it is.
How do you get so many India Delta and India Yankee flags?? I didn't think it was possible to buy those flags?

decently but not as well. at all.
Don't forget about 60mm of bow armor, which can't be overmatched by Yamato shells.

One little question here....all of the GK's AA DPS is at max range. Montana has 157 at 6+km, whereas GK has 479 at 6+km. The numbers, and my personal (questionable, obviously) experience has demonstrated that the GK has the best AA of all tier 10 BB's, simply because it will actually shoot down some TB's before they drop, while the other 2 won't. Question is obviously, why do you say the GK AA is shit?
look up tier10 bb aa comparisons. there are the pure damage values multiplied by the range, which is a better representation of the aa potential
He says it's shit although he has no skill nor any modules dedicated to AA, lol.
If you have to heavily invest into an AA build to make your AA work, then it is obviously shit by default.
...these values are with a full secondary build. No dedicated AA-only skills/mods on GK.
I think the problem is Flamu is running a tank build instead of a secondary/flak build. He always mentioned that everyone on EU and their grandmothers start focusing fire on him the moment he's spotted. He would never be able to close into brawling range.

agree with you flamu, even with german bbs, just make her primary guns as primary, and her secondary guns as secondary, don't make her guns accuracy even worse with secondary upgrade
enemy kurfurst showed a typical game for this ship, dead by min 3 into the game, burned, torped and shot from every angle, meanwhile he did half a turn and 15k dmg, he was grining 10 months to get here on premium acc and now that's how 70% of his games look like
thx for pro advice bro.. i know my positioning well but in random games i don't intend to waste my time chasing a lemming runaway team in a slow bathtub, german bbs are great up to bismarck, but in t9/10 i prefer dd play style and radar cruisers
I played one game on my m8's account with his kurfürst and got a 64k volley with only 2 cits, rest of the game was crap coz i'm aggro and the team wasn't :( ,yes I overextended
Everytime Flamu says 'Hello Hello" I turn gay for a brief moment.
These days I don't know even ir is a good idea take out the GK, more cos' i'm agressive but with ap bombs, british HE.. and the really big deal... random players... kinda frustrating use any bb now.

I did a fun build on my Kurfurst - IFHE + Manual secondaries. Well, did I say 'fun'? not much fun from that build - I did my record 280k dmg while running Flamu's build and did 0 dmg from secondaries, anyhow... I noticed that in those rare moments when a BB is trying to ram you my secondaries were absolutely wrecking them! Wrecking? MELTING! Shame that it's so situational and overall inferior to the tank build.

One time in mijn lv 5 bb (japan) i got hit for 75% of mijn hp on the start and i falt back and som one sad caping noob and i had still a hijer scoor then him becas i stil dit 50k damage XD

Webdigo Because he considers it super broken - if you look at the ships he enjoys, they are the high skill floor ships, the yamato however doesn't have a high skill floor. I think he said one time (dont quote me though) that the yam has no clear weakness making it too OP. It makes sense though, he is very good at the game so an OP ship is more on the boring side to him. However I hope he will correct me if I'm wrong!!

This! This is makes BBs good enough capture contestants, and definitely makes enemies run from whatever you go. I really want WG reduce range of BBs (never happen, 'cause of balance issues and stuff, I fully realise it) to teach people about what makes BBs stronk. Without it they still thinking it is better version of WoT arty.
And whorst part of it, if you try AD alone, you just get primed to ground. So three BBs gonna give game to opponent, 'cause no one wanna be first. Only yesterday get 260k damage win, by wreking bunch of enemy BBs, which queued up like ducklings.

also .. 13.6km detection radius.. what the heck is montana suposed to do in this state.. yeyy u can have 0.1km better concealment than yamato and 0.2 better than GK hurayy .. dont get me wront i love my montana but it is really weak when u compare it with any other T10 BB sadly :/
not anymore. after the buff my friend went from a 80 k average to a 150k average. and when i use the yamato i despise shooting the montana now, i get better damage on all other t10 bbs
i though it got just the lowered citadel buff .. it wasnt really big deal imo .. didnt try it out much though

Kurfürst is terrible actually. I remember how easily I passed 200k damage in battle while commadning Grose, but on Kursfurst I struggle to pass 100k. Very low damage, terrible accuracy, and it's eating tons and tons of damage from every ship, so you die instantly.
Yamato is like two times more effective then this huge pile of german sh*t.
How to deal 100k dmg on Izumo ? Ram Currywürst.
