"Gotta make a pit stop back to the base for some coffee" Yup, that's pretty relatable. Also I think that glare on the screen during the second scanner in the snow was not from the snow, I think it was that harshly bright LED light bouncing off the shiny receiver, the main "body" of the shotgun. I took a break from this series, but I wanted to catch up to it and then start on your vintage story one, I initially wrote it off as "just another minecraft clone" but then I actually looked into it and noticed how complex it is.
Thanks so much for watching! That could definitely be the case, but yes the glare was definitely getting to me haha. I hope you enjoy watching Vintage Story too!
your game runs so smoothly (knock on wood lol). i was wondering if you could show your graphic settings and your pc specs somewhere in the next video. my game is so choppy, and my builds are not merely as big as your bases. great video as always 👍
I think that is mainly an issue of being later into the game / building a lot on the map. My Prometheus world is pretty choppy now as well in comparison to this. I pretty much use standard High settings.
Don't forget to craft those trophies for more bestiary xp. Teenage cave worms are bit rarer so, IMO, worth spending a few searching through all that loot to get the trophies. I saw that editing magic where you jumped from 130 ammo to 150. My Moa hasn't run off the platform at 20% water so I think you're good. I actually really like the mount changes, makes it more realistic (minus Moa in the desert). And I really like the new reinforced glass, looks much better. Just so expensive! So many epic battles in this one. That one artic wolf did a wild bullet dodge! Absolutely love the series, thanks!!
Ah good point! I have a bunch of trophies to craft. The talent "How Many Shots did you count?" adds ammo back into the gun when it procs, super nice one to get. And yes, that new glass... super cool but way too expensive. Maybe they will re balance it like the stone bricks. Thank you for watching and commenting!
In case someone wanted to know, 150L of water should weight 150Kg. IRL (thats 330lbs. for you not metric people) plus the weigh of the tank. So carrying 150Kg on your back like that, would be extremely impressive.
i think it does weigh 150kg water's density is 1kg/L, and yes its impressive, but im hoping the envirosuit has some kind of exoskeleton ability that helps you carry heavy things otherwise how can we carry the huge thumper on our backs
@@Infinity.Gaming2023 LOL true. there should be some sort of exoskeleton ability, they didn't mention. that would make sense if you're getting mauled by Polar Bears on a regular basis without even as much as falling over.
Thanks for watching! More Vintage Story is coming as well. I don't think they plan to release Vintage Story on steam until it is out of early access, according to their FAQ page.
You can fill the big water container (150L) manually using the smaller one (50L). Obviously you need to fill the smaller one 3 times and empty it into the larger one. I don't remember if it retains the purified water buff.
Yes though you do need to out there for seeds. You can also actually get dirt in the desert biome, some of the ground texture that looks like dirt can be shoveled.
I think the animal nerfs are more to balance things out after all the changes they've made recently. You can offset some of the downsides with the skill points.
I think the new heavier water containers are probably recommended. If I was doing open world and wanting to do regular visits to null sektor i would draw a water network halways into the zone perhaps. Though its going to take q lot of work and time to setup it could be worth it.
I use pretty much standard "high" settings with some things turned down like shadows. The main reason for frame drops in my experience is having built a lot of stuff. This world is pretty smooth because it's newer, but my prometheus world is laggier.

i just like the video without even watching it because i know it will be a banger video anyways!
still watched it tho :D
Thanks as always for watching!
Great vid, the shortcuts make a huge difference for sure, Enjoyed it!😊
So glad to have them open! Going to make the next missions much nicer to complete.
Wow, you put a lot of effort into these videos. It definitely doesn't go unnoticed. Loving them. I'm glad I found this channel
Thank you so much! These missions are REALLY long hahah so a lot of editing required for these.
Really liked the workd tour 😊 Can understand how much work it takes to give us an hour of content like this but know that it is appreciated!
The missions are long, and tons of running around haha. But it's fun!
Man the shortcuts are very nice to have unlocked before going into open world.
Yes! Super happy to have them all open now.
Love the long videos bro!
Thanks as always for watching!

This is such a great series. Really like your approach.
Thank you! This one was a ton of footage to work through, these missions are so long haha.
@@dannyrothko Well all that wildlife isn't just going to shoot itself y'know. You got a lot of work to do.
best series ever
Thank you!

@@dannyrothko Ahh yes I think it counts as crafting and can proc the craft extra ammo but not sure. That skill is super useful either way!
Its great to watch and listen to while at work. Havd you tried out the new corner or L stairs?
Thanks for watching! I haven't tried those new stairs out yet but will check them out for sure.

was anticipating to see another icarus video. hoping to see another vintage story also, are they going to put it on steam?

@@dannyrothko OK Thanks

Oh nice to know! I"ll need to try that out.
Do you use your Stealth Damage bonus when you fire arrows and shotguns. Sure saves some ammo
I'm not using the stealth damage one but I'm pretty much maxed on available mods/perks that give bonus damage & crit damage
U can use your shovel on dirt frame for Dirt ( you don't have to go far to collect dirt )
Yes though you do need to out there for seeds. You can also actually get dirt in the desert biome, some of the ground texture that looks like dirt can be shoveled.

Yeah there are workarounds, but I miss my lightspeed moa with no hassle 😆
How do you layer the floors to do that effect with the plants? Is there a link to a tutorial vid or anything? Thanks
If you mean the plants indoors, I use the "dirt mound" which is a tier 1 craft in your inventory, you can place it on any surface including indoors
The Prometheus volcanic null zone has 500% water consumption debuff for arid environment, with no water in area.
Freezer doesn't create ice, might be able to collect some rain in upper tier storms.
@@hndsmdn Maybe a long ass water line lol.

Oh wow, that sounds intense. Might need to pull a water line out there eventually
What are your settings and are you experiencing any frame rate drops?
I use pretty much standard "high" settings with some things turned down like shadows. The main reason for frame drops in my experience is having built a lot of stuff. This world is pretty smooth because it's newer, but my prometheus world is laggier.
It's almost like your being encouraged to use something OTHER than the MOA
Haha, I just can't get past how quick the moa is. The new update fixed the overheating issue so the desert moa is resistant to the desert heat now.
Dribbos are like hippos but drop bacon so a mixture of pigs and hippos?
Haha could be. There are so many of them you can have a lifetime supply of bacon in no time
Do you think he likes the Brutalist style of his build? LOL
😆
