On big moves with lots of gear and heavy stuff I usually load the drop-pod with all the heavy stuff. Ride to destination, and throw down a recall beacon. They are not that expensive to make, or buy from workshop, and super for big heavy hauls... also nice for shipping red exotic back to base for processing...
Maybe with upcoming pet update I'll use the Buffalo cart more.
I was thinking of drop shipping the gear to the new base, but I needed more inventory slots that the dropship had for all my benches 😆
Can’t wait to start Prometheus styx almost done, like 80% done with styx and this is probably my favorite survival game.

The Miner's Module is very fine for missions : you can set up your starting "mini-base" inside a cave without getting pneumonia, thus avoiding wood-based building and associated repairs before you're able to go "stone age" for a more durable base. I usually run around with 5 modules in my inventory/equipped with the 4-module envirosuit including the pheromone one. By the way I think 1xpheromone module + seeds food buff for the moa makes it even more "staminated" than 2xpheromone
Good point! I think I will be doing some missions outside open world once we leave Prometheus, so that’s a good one to keep in mind for sure.

you might want to invest in a electric dehumidifier when cleansing red exotics. whenever there is a ash storm, ashen smog or any variant of an ash storm, all crafting benches slow down and the only way to resume normal speeds is to have a dehumidifier. i covered it in my weather guide and red exotics guide. its was really annoying for me when i was about to finish my cleansing and then an ash storm hits and had to wait more.
Another good point, I think I want to get another 2 cleansers out there and I’ll have to go with a dehumidifier.

Did you know that feeding your animal with the seed animal feed gives it extra stamina and stamina recovery?

You should check old caves for purple exotics. From update they re-spawned.
I definitely want to check those caves again, we need more purples!

Hey, I have a question, if you don't mind. Comment first: I have finally dropped onto Prometheus. I've been trying to progress in a similar fashion to your progression. I find my progression getting sidetracked and confused at times. Question: Do you write out and organize your progress timeline and tasks ahead of time? I feel like I'm drifting of course a bit. Thank you, in advance, for any advice you might have. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you! Glad to hear there’s a new prospector in Prometheus. I do not write it down but I do force myself to complete a goal once I set it. It is easy to get sidetracked in a game with so much to do! As long as you are leveling up and working your way to new tech you can go at it in whatever order you are comfortable with.
Grasslands and Glacial biomes are freshwater, swamp and lava are saltwater. Icaruswiki has spawn maps for those who are unaware.
That's nice to know the traps register for this mission. Unfortunately not for bestiary 😭
And they auto registered you didn't have to manually be at the trap, manually fishing would be nightmare.
Yes the traps make those fishing missions sooo much easier. Unfortunate about the bestiary though
In the second lava pool, you could have built around the side. Might be easier.
It turns out that you don’t need support over that lava pool so I was able to make a straight bridge right across it!
I think three red exotics trees spawned for you from looking at the scans. There are always three exotic nodes that spawn in open world with at least one being red on prometheus
I'm hearing there can be up to three, I've already had my meteor shower so next time I search for reds I'll try to find all three!
you can use Aluminum, scoria, and scoria brick inside lava. all other types of building materials will burn and get destroyed even concrete.. i would recommend aluminum cuz its easy, light to carry and u can farm so much aluminum ore with miasma pickaxe. also easy to craft too aluminum ore, wood and steel screws
Ahh I should have thought of scoria. That’s good to know about aluminum too. Though interestingly, building over the top of that lava also requires no support apparently!
@@dannyrothko yea that cave has some wierd bug with support idk what but if you are attached to something you are 100% stable all around
The hunting missions are easier if you take a scanner with you. Set it up on a tall rock (keep you safe) in an area known for your target animal, get scanning. It'll attract your victims to you.

I'm wondering why you went back to the space station ? You should be able to purchase/request anything you can afford from the workshop with the Orbital Exchange Interface ?
Also the workshop version of the Dropship recall beacon is VERY cheap...
Aside from that : Note to self = "Ze, stop bringing a campfire when you're also carrying an air conditionner !"
Thank you for watching! I had to return to the space station in order to equip my new suit with the 2 module slots in it. You can deliver anything to the planet other than new suits. I do want to get the workshop recall too, just saving until I need it for those non open-world missions.
@@dannyrothko Ah ok I didn't notice that. About suits, I love the Haulier one with 4 module slots. It's lack of a Water slot is only a small pain compared to what you can get from 4 modules equipped
There is up to 3 exotics at any given time and the meteor shower count starts 3 hours after the first is emptied
Oh man that is news to me. Always ever only found 1 at a time. Next time I’ll see if I can’t get all 3 haha
You need to use Scoria Bricks in Lava. BTW, there are 2 different types of Scoria. One in Tier 2 and the better one, Scoria Bricks, in Tier 3. Great tip on Fiber from Leather.
The fiber to leather needs a talent AND a blueprint - just like wood to sticks.
Ah I see! I haven’t found a scoria vein yet so it will be some hand farming. Another comment said aluminum may also work inside lava.
If you have a textiles bench you do not need the talent! Just craft the ropes from leather there.

@@dannyrothko You can craft a Miasma Sledgehammer. Also you can get a lot of Tree Sap from the small plants in Lava zone. Or you can get 500 Tree sap from your base along with Advanced Masonry Bench (tier3), which only
requires water and no electricity. Overall Scoria is the best material for Lava zone, strongest and heat resistant.
what mode is he playing open world? or missions? im looking at buying this game but not sure what mode is best
This is in open world mode, most missions are available in open world! I would definitely recommend open world for that reason.
