Hey Brewzle should of got J.Henry when in wisconsin it's made outside of Madison with a rich local story. The farm the grain is grown on used to be a cattle farm that was failing they decided to make Boos and use a special type of corn and special local grains definitely check it out if you can find it.
I noticed you tried a Dry Fly special release bourbon out of Washington state, have you tried Woodinville out of Washington yet? If not, is there a way I can send yall some?
Riley’s Wines employee right here. Thanks for stopping by, there’s already been two people that mentioned your video walking in and one of them just checked out with $1,600 worth of whiskey. Next time you’re in town we’ll give you a proper tasting !
I live here and am quite interested in the fact that you have Springbank 12CS and 18 which I haven't seen anywhere before. Might have to stop in occasionally and see if you have any.😮
Saying hi from Wisconsin! Madison is an absolute party during football games. The whole city is campus on Saturday game days. Jump Around is played in Camp Randall and can be heard and felt around the city.
Hey Brewzle let’s develop a bourbon app that keeps track of your collection. So when you are out hunting you know what you already have in your collection and it tracks pricing and will show local Liquor stores to get what you are hunting.
That's a really good idea. If I was hunting for something and had a lot at home, I'd want to know what's worth buying because I don't have versus taking a guess and buying the same thing again. 👍👍👍
As a wisconsinite, Woodman’s is amazing. Not too many of them, far as I know. But I see them as a Toys-r-us for booze. Great variety, great prices. I go iut of my way to travel to get my alcohol there.
I'll start by saying that, although I don't personally know this man, he and his family are quite indicative of the majority of people you will meet over here in the US, especially in the South, with Brewzle being an Alabama boy(Tennessee here, BTW). Despite what Hollywood and the sensationalist media would have everyone believe, we're not a population full of dangerous thugs intent upon nefarious mayhem on unsuspecting strangers, quite the opposite actually. The fact is, headlines that read "Millions Survive Night In U.S." wouldn't sell too many papers, and so all anyone ever hears about are the crazies. Good people are good people, the world over, and our wants and needs are strikingly similar, regardless of nationality. We ALL want the very best that we can manage for our families, friends, and selves. That's universal, is it not? So, if you get the chance to visit us, by all means, do so. Sit down with an individual such as Brewzle or myself and bond over a well blended mash bill, and I can almost guarantee that you will rise from that empty glass with a new friend. THAT, my friend is the REAL "proof".
Come to Cincinnati. Lots of German descendents. We have lots of beers and the beginning of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail begins right across the Ohio River in Northern Kentucky.
Brewzle I'm a resident of Wisconsin. On my recent trip to Door County I stopped at the Door Peninsula Winery and Distillery. I picked up a bottle of their test run, maple barrel Bourbon. Only 2000 bottles were made. Fantastic stuff. If you make it back to Wisconsin, head to Door County you won't be disappointed in the area.
As a bourbon enthusiast that lives in the Milwaukee area….dead zone. We get the scraps from Chicago and Madison, and then it’s usually marked up or put into a raffle (buy a bottle get a ticket). God speed @Brewzle. Would love to have our area stores look like some of the ones you show, oh well, knob creek and wild T it is then.
Try Consumer Beverage in Hales Corners. Great prices and they have allocated bottles. Not Weller or Buffalo Trace or Eagle Rare but they have a GREAT variety and crazy low prices. Store picks also
Woodmans is a Wisconsin based retailer with like 15 stores in WI and IL. They have a very large liquor selection for a grocery store chain. They get some rare stuff in.
If you do come down for a week or a month to Madison WI tell everyone, everywhere, you will have all the locals helping you and you will party and you will see the liveliness of Madison. Madison always welcomes you and so does Wisconsin in general. I'd also love to learn from you lmao
As a Madison WI local born and raised. Yes! absolutely come up to Madison again sometime with more time during football have some fun. J Henry is local, and pretty good same with Dancing Goat which you totally should have picked up.
the wolcott rickhouse reserve is distilled by the same people who make 1792, the rickhouse reserve is a close 2nd to wild turkey rare breed for me, one of my favorites that i have tried, and i love the high proof stuff
Woodmans store is a Wisconsin-based place owned by the employees, so you supposedly get better service and the prices are supposed to be pretty competitive kind of a Warehouse place, Costco-ish if that helps. Love your channel.
The Dirty Helen you passed up is good, out of Great Lakes Distillery in Milwaukee. The Dirty Helen Rye is fantastic. You had some good stops in Madison; Woodmans is a great place for price and overall selection.
Oooooh! You fool, I'm in tears. You walked away from Springbank! This is the most sought after Single Malt out there. It's almost impossible to get even here in Europe because of such small volume of production. Every thing they produce is sold out instantly! You can easily tripple the price of those bottles on the second hand marked.
I noticed the JD Single Barrel Rye in one store for $52 and $40 in another! It's crazy how prices vary greatly from store to store. Something to know thanks to Brewzle. Keep em comin'! Bourbon hunting is similar to the stock market. It's all about when you get in at the lows or if you get screwed over at the highs. The fluctuations on bourbon is insane!
Perfect timing.......I just bought the Wolcott Rickhouse Reserve $42 yesterday! Gal at Total Wine said its Friday and let me try 6 different bourbons, pulled them from under the makeshift bar and served them up. She sold me on the Clyde Mays single barrel as well on sale for $40.
If you ever do come back to Madison, try O’Connell’s Liquor in Fitchburg. Great family-run place filled with knowledgeable people and a great selection of whiskey (and an even better one if you’re nice to the right people)
Im a college student who only lets himself get 1 30-60 dollar bottle every couple of months and I really appreciate being able to live my bourbon dreams through you!
Finally! So glad that you picked up that Wollersheim bottled in bond. I haven’t had too much Wollersheim, but the bit I did have was really good. Wisconsin is lovely state in the summer!
The Michters Toasted Barrel Finish Straight Rye is unreal. We went on the Michter's tour in Louisville last weekend and that was easily the best pour we had.
Hatch Distillery is a good local distillery from Door County Wisconsin, and they have good stuff. The actual distillery has awesome cocktails as well, if you ever end up in the peninsula
I haven’t drank in 10 years. But after finding your UA-cam channel and TikTok I started drinking some bourbon today. Definitely new to me. But it’s something I’m enjoying.
Total wine has a lot of house brands or spirits specifically made for Total Wine. Wolcott is part of the « Total Wine Spirits Direct » meaning it’s a product you will only find at Total wine. What I understood talking to TW employees is that they are incentivized to push « spirits direct » products. I am really interested to know what you think of the Wolcott.
The Wolcott is the only Total Wine bourbon I've had that wasn't horrible. Not amazing, but certainly not bad. I'd put it in the "daily drinker" category.
Just found your channel yesterday and started binging. Love the hunts and all the info for someone who is a neophyte to bourbon like me. Thanks again for the content!
Great to see you roll through Madison! Next time if you have a bit in town (perhaps the Bama Wisconsin game next season) you need to check out Cask and Ale, a bar on State Street! It's a bar that has pretty much every bottle and allocated at fair prices for pours! Also Steve's Wine and Liquor sometimes has some good things
Tumbling Dice Straight Rye Single Barrel 7-year beat out Van Winkle Reserve Rye 12 yr in a blind for me. Definitely add that to your lineup if you have not already!
Thanks for coming to my hometown Brewzle! Let me know if you're ever around Madison or Minneapolis and I'll give you a couple of my favorite bottles :)
In Total Wine you should have picked up the McFarlane’s Reserve Select Cask Strength. However you did pick the other bottle I would have recommended. I just had that Wolcott Rickhouse Reserve last night. It was pretty good.
I stopped in the Total Wine in Madison in your video. Bought myself the same wollcot bottle as in the video. They had some in store to taste. Was very good in my opinion. Keep up the good work.
I know you said you haven't gotten into the japanese whiskies but the hibiki harmony suntory you passed on at the grocery/liquor store is my favorite! Looked like they had it at a good price too
Love this trip TJ needs a new Suburban. Roof Thule for luggage and can fit a pallet of whiskey in back That Irish Powers Rye is inexpensive and really really good
So I got 3 different Bondstones. The Distiller's Select, barrel proof and the Double oaked. They had a sale if you bought 2 or more so I got them all for about 40 a peice and honestly they weren't bad at all. Maybe a little young but a decent value. However the DO helped with the younger profile and was pretty decent.
Love the hunting videos! You should buy a bourbon hunting van! Like a Solis or something like that. Save the money on not having to rent hotel rooms plus plenty of room for bourbon storage under the bed / back area! Just a thought! Keep it up! :)
I do not drink bourbon but somehow these videos are the perfect type of relaxing/therapeutic videos I love having on while I am working. Your voice is as smooth as a Jack Daniels 12 (right? Am i learning the lingo??) 😂
That Adictivo you saw at 4:54 makes some EXEPTIONALLY good Tequila. For a very nice experience, you'd be looking for a black label that says Extra Anejo Cristalino. Native to Tulum Mexico, its very rare to find in the US.

Awesome to see.

I'm German, from Munich and I love your videos. They make me so curious about travelling the US. 🙂

So much to do and see…..
You will understand why we don’t travel as much as Europeans!
Can you recommend any German whiskey? Something I can pick up if I travel to Deutschland
@@runningaway2388 For example Elsburn, St. Kilian and Slyrs are pretty good German Whisky Companies.
Brewzle is a BEAST im enjoying your voyage. TJ gotta funny straightforward personality

Rent a trailer for the luggage. More room for whiskey.
Rent a trailer for whiskey*
Just leave the luggage behind and fill the trailer with bourbon
Gents if going to do that, rent another van. The whiskey needs to be kept safe on the way back after all.
You definitely need to try Driftless Glen, their bourbon and rye are phenomenal
I don’t drink anymore cause my stomach sucks, and I never drank whiskey/bourbon, but I’m digging watching these videos for some reason.

Good call grabbing that Wolcott Rickhouse and leaving the First Call at the store. That Wolcott is a great buy at $43
Woodmans is a Wisconsin based retailer with like 15 stores in WI and IL. They have a very large liquor selection for a grocery store chain. They get some rare stuff in.
I lived in madison for a year and it’s cool to see you go to a few of the spots I would regularly stop into. Awesome stuff.
Waukesha County Wisconsin here! Love your videos!

Woodmans store is a Wisconsin-based place owned by the employees, so you supposedly get better service and the prices are supposed to be pretty competitive kind of a Warehouse place, Costco-ish if that helps. Love your channel.
They also have stores in Illinois.
The Wolcott is Total Wine's brand. They collaborate with distilleries to create them.
The Dirty Helen you passed up is good, out of Great Lakes Distillery in Milwaukee. The Dirty Helen Rye is fantastic. You had some good stops in Madison; Woodmans is a great place for price and overall selection.

madison is awesome.. especially during the fall and winter when it's snowing and football games are happening! the atmosphere is just insane
The Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof is my favorite JD product.
If you ever do come back to Madison, try O’Connell’s Liquor in Fitchburg. Great family-run place filled with knowledgeable people and a great selection of whiskey (and an even better one if you’re nice to the right people)
You’re not going to regret getting that Wolcott. It’s absolutely delicious imo. Wish I would’ve got another bottle of it for a backup
Wollersheim and Driftless Glenn are great WI finds!
Im a college student who only lets himself get 1 30-60 dollar bottle every couple of months and I really appreciate being able to live my bourbon dreams through you!
That blue label J. Henry is Bellafontaine Reserve... That is some excellent whiskey!
Finally! So glad that you picked up that Wollersheim bottled in bond. I haven’t had too much Wollersheim, but the bit I did have was really good. Wisconsin is lovely state in the summer!

OMG ! Springbank's sighted 'in the wild' !!
Madison and Milwaukee are great in the summer fall for an extended trip/residency
The Michters Toasted Barrel Finish Straight Rye is unreal. We went on the Michter's tour in Louisville last weekend and that was easily the best pour we had.
I just got your Willett purple top pick and I am fired up. Dark, thick stuff I can’t wait to crack it open.
New Richmond is a local Wisconsin distiller. They are doing some good things and I saw you passed it on the shelf at Woodman's.
Used to work there - highly recommend the Red Fife Whiskey!
Dancing Goat is fantastic! Their Barrel Strength Rye is phenomenal!!
From Montana and that 45th Parallel has some really good stuff, had 8 different types from then and have been very happy with them
Used to live in Madison and can confirm it's a very good time on game days. It's a beautiful city with great people
9:03 Should have grabbed one of those Dancing Goat bottles. Great distillery.
You hit the nail on the head - Madison in the fall is hard to beat. You’d love it!
Badger here, football game days are the best. Riley's was my go-to during college so glad to see you made it there.
Just got a Horse Soldier Barrel Strength and am not disappointed! Don't sleep on that one much longer.
Yooo I just found this channel a couple days ago and can’t get enough! Love the content! Cheers 🥃
You went to Woodman's!!! I'm so excited to see this.
Get an overhead luggage rack, all the room you need for liquor in the back !
Next time you're in Wisconsin, check out Farm Boy bourbon! You can find it at Ray's Wine and Spirits

All Total Wine private label Bourbon is trash
The Wolcott is the only Total Wine bourbon I've had that wasn't horrible. Not amazing, but certainly not bad. I'd put it in the "daily drinker" category.
Just Clark Griswold the luggage on the roof of the car 😂
Wife and I just moved to Madison a few months back. Haven't been to Riley's yet, but now I definitely have to go there!
When you come back go to festival foods! They also have a pretty good selection and great prices
Old overholt rye is my number 1 right now

Wolcott is one favorites so good for the price
Woodman's has about 20 stores in WI and IL. Not a huge selection but great prices.
First Call Double Oak is worth a try
Great to see you roll through Madison! Next time if you have a bit in town (perhaps the Bama Wisconsin game next season) you need to check out Cask and Ale, a bar on State Street! The Walcott BIB is also 1792 and is good, but you made the right call with the Walcott Rickhouse Select.
With endless options, Spirits Direct would have to be the single only option before I bite.
Heh, I got a bottle of Dirty Helen. It's from Great Lakes distillery from Milwaukee Wisconsin so for local it's quite good.
Single barrel Jack and even gentlemen Jack really aren’t bad for the price and the availability
The New Richmond border bourbon is really good
Belle Meade is great!! I went to the plantation in Nashville. Get that Makers Reserve that’s a score!
ANY JDSBBP is awesome! If it's not on your shelf, get one!
Get you a cargo tray for your hitch and put your luggage in large totes that you strap down to it! It gives you extra space for whiskey!
I know you said you haven't gotten into the japanese whiskies but the hibiki harmony suntory you passed on at the grocery/liquor store is my favorite! Looked like they had it at a good price too
" 'Nothin in the rye really caught my eye' a little poem for ya" lol
Love this trip
TJ needs a new Suburban. Roof Thule for luggage and can fit a pallet of whiskey in back
That Irish Powers Rye is inexpensive and really really good
Omg, Springbank 12 Year Cask Strength for $130 lol. 15 for $162 is a steal as well as the 18 for $264. Phenomenal whisky at phenomenal prices.
Hey man I'm from wisco and im glad you like it! If you ever think about coming up lmk we have some extra room in our house!
Very olde st nick 9 year is incredible, very much worth it! Got a bottle of curria at KBF this year

Try the Springbank !
That Wolcott BIB is one of my favorites! The Rickhouse is good, but you should have gone with the BIB
That Adictivo you saw at 4:54 makes some EXEPTIONALLY good Tequila. For a very nice experience, you'd be looking for a black label that says Extra Anejo Cristalino. Native to Tulum Mexico, its very rare to find in the US.
Always love these vids!

I can't believe you came to Madison! I just went bourbon hunting the day before you arrived and I wish I was able to see you! Also Total Wine and spirits is one of the best liquor stores in Madison but I truly love Harley's liquor and bait it's small cheap and has great options
You missed out on that Dirty Helen from Great Lakes Distillery in Milwaukee. They also have a BiB in their Still & Oak expression.
Nice Virtue Spirits hat! Looking forward to getting my hands on one of their bottles
