i love the part where she said even if she wasn’t weightlifting she would just get in there. that is honestly the best way!! get used to the environment first, keep showing up! love you mari!
Wow can’t believe she has BPD… it’s amazing she is talking about it without any shame… there is so much judgment and cruelty around mental health. Super proud
I have BPD. I’ve only just started being open about it recently. I mean why not, it’s not my fault x
Right?!? 👏👏👏
I have BPD as well. It’s difficult, I have had drs tell me ‘it’s not a real diagnosis’ and ‘all women have it.’ It has been a nightmare and so hard to hold friendships and relationships. I also have Hoshimoto’s which messes with my thyroid and all that controls! I also feel so lost and wish I could find something I love and commit to. You’re an inspiration! Thank you all for this interview 💕 Please know that it has at least helped one person. ✨
Let him meditate how he wants to meditate. You can’t force somebody to do something how it works for YOU. He is not YOU. Men wake up with higher levels of cortisol than women do. What he is describing makes PERFECT sense.
😂 we are on the same page
Meditation is unique to everyone.. just because you Meditate how you Meditate... doesn't mean it's gonna work for someone. It bothers me that people don't meditate because someone projects how it should be. Just let him do it however he wants or not at all
Good god i just commented something similar to this
First time listener. Loved the podcast and the guest but my goodness, the host is so rough on her husband. She shoots him down every time he speaks. 😢
I think they've been together since they were children
Yeah I know this feeling too well. I have this one coworker who will start talking to me and few seconds later shift the conversation to someone else and even if I replied they will keep talking with each other
I have goosebumps. Was diagnosed recently with BPD. Had weight issues for years. Now on the way to mental and physical health. Thank you for this podcast ❤❤❤
I have BPD. Antiphsycotics have as a side effect gain weight. I have difficulty to lose weight.
Same still strugling to lose 10kg I gained because of antiphsycotics
Love this video !! I have a pretty similar story to her and it’s good to hear someone else go through similar situations like me ! I am 5’11 and lost 60 pounds and motivated myself to do a body building show , now focus on healthy lifestyle
Lauren, you ask all the right questions, you’re an awesome interviewer, thank you! 💗🙏🏼☀️
just discovered Mari and am in awe of her and I'm a little sad that I missed the giveaway and I'm absolutely in love with this host and her dude - loved all of this, new listener here and love how it was all ran through and talked about and how this interviewer goddess just asked everything we (I) wanted to know!
I loved this …been following Mari for months now and love her! 🤘🏼❤️
I have never related to someone so much the way I have now! Wow. I’ve always loved her and followed her entire journey and now listening to her… I definitely feel connected
I found this channel today and I LOVE this video. Subscribed!
First time listener ❤ What an educational episode. Thank you for this!
My mother is a huge trigger and a biggest main cause in my traumas. I removed her from my life fully. Best thing I’ve done for myself. Alongside removing her - I removed all of her side of the family due to them being all the same triggers. There’s so much to this obviously, but this is what I can say briefly enough
OMG I love the comments about how BPD is attributed to trauma. Because it so is! When Mari said linked to lack of affirmation and love when you're younger... BAM! It's more like presence and validation. Ain't nothing wrong with taking the path of least resistance and seeking medical help to recover. Love!
Just want to make a correction as someone with Bipolar 2 disorder- borderline is actually not a mood disorder the way Bipolar is. It’s a personality disorder, which is just as difficult and valid to manage. But that’s an important distinction!
It's quite the same but bpd cycles faster
I was diagnosed with both borderline personality disorder and I'm on the bipolar spectrum
I love Mary ❤ she is the real deal . I see all the skinny people that are 20 telling me what to do to loose weight. And I am like what ....
The comments about focus with weightlifting. That's also why I love rock climbing. Your mind can't wander, you completely focus on the task at hand.
This came to me at a really interesting time. Great pod
The interaction between you girls is just soo cute. Two awesome ladies 🎉
I've heard that trauma 'study' referenced before - "Would you take it back, knowing what you know now". As a survivor of childhood abuse, which I'm sure contributed to my brother's suicide and my other brother's meth addiction, and years of my own pain and struggles, would I take it back? Ahhhh - yes? Yes, 1million times, yes.
LOVE LAURYN SO MUCH!
Let the Man meditate after exercising!!! 🙈 I felt so uncomfortable when Mari inadvertently started a fight between them. I can’t imagine how she felt
Loved this 😊
I wish she would more specific about what was SO traumatic, because I feel like a lot of times people act super irrationally and then just say
“oh I have trauma “ but they don’t explain what that trauma is. So then I tend to think they’re either blowing it out of proportion or , they’re just completely making it up.
Whereas I feel like people who actually have trauma like myself are totally cool with just laying it all on the table. Like I’m not just gonna say I have PTSD from childhood trauma because that sounds like I’m lying. I’m gonna say, oh yeah big loud men trigger me because my Dad was an abusive alcoholic and he used to hurt me. Idk maybe I’m out of line but I feel like people over use the term trauma and just use it to describe times in their life that were more difficult than normal and that isn’t the actual definition.
This was great a episode
LMAOOOOO no way is the bloom product on the desk next to Lauren the ENTIRE TIME! 😂😂😂
I'm definitely going to try the Fish oil. I suffer from depression and anxiety, it may be a game changer for me!
i loved this episode!!
Great podcast
Love Mari! She posts the best recipes 🤤
ugh if i could go back in time to change my current life i would. i'd love to go back to the ethers and come back totally different with different parents, etc. i know i'd be a happier, better person.
What a great story.
Not only did she interrupt her husband throughout this, but it seemed like his eyes were glued to his wife every time they showed him! Is he afraid to look at Mari for too long??🤣
I am a mom too so I think it is important to talk to your mother about how you feel and what you’re going through. It is difficult to change if she don’t get a clear picture about your side of the story.
A lot of times healing must happen outside of the relationship of the person who hurt you. It’s her decision if she wants to tell the mom, it could cause trauma if the mom doesnt respond appropriately
Mari's mother should know what she's done to make her daughter feel this way. It's called motherly love. Her mother should ask her what's wrong seeing that she's caused all her daughter's pain and distress.....that's the bottom line
Genetically thin is a rare thing...........those people tend to have a hard time gaining weight. Most people who are a normal good weight exercise some control over their intake of food and most often move throughout the day. Most everyone can get fat if they eat shit and don't move. The reason I say that is I, as a fit female now 58 but have been fit all my life ( I am a physical therapist and my career has mostly been in sports medicine) but all my life people have said I am lucky I can probably eat whatever I want (because I am tall and thin with an athletic build) but Hell No!!! I watch what I eat, I rarely eat out and I work my ass off.
😥🤗
Exactly!! Most skinny people just don't like to eat much or they are just skinny fat. All my "natural" skinny friends eat maybe once day and that's it. They just aren't addicted to food like other people.
My daughter's dad is naturally thin. We were together for almost 10 years and in that time i saw him put so much food in his body trying to gain weight. He would drink weight gainer shakes left and right and at most he would gain 5 pounds. His metabolism is just insanely fast. Even at work he didnt move too much, he wasnt doing extra movement anywhere. But his body was always burning extra calories.
This triggered my eating disorder bad because I didn't want to be fat standing next to him.
@@AshleySmith-rm2bl sad thing is he probably wanted to gain weight so bad and eating that much food is tough!!! Especially if you don't like that feeling of being full. I bet it would be tough living with someone like that if you struggle with an ED.
I clicked on this because I liked Mary, her story and her businesses. But I noticed there was not one thing this guy said that this his wife/girlfriend(?) wouldn't roll her eyes at or cut him off with a rude remark. So annoying.
He way she says, "fucking psycho" I believe her! 😅
Inspiring😍
The biggest coincidence….I got like a half hour and randomly decided to drink some bloom greens. Then Mari, whom I’ve never seen or heard of, starts talking about the bloom products she created😂. I was shocked lol. Also I went to Temple in Philly around the same time. The food trucks were bomb.
The gym is so intimidating to me.
From Wales and was NOT expecting her to pronounce her last name like that!
Stop I’m just watching this just to watch it and read finally that she’s the maker of bloom!! As I’m drinking my bloom greens 😅 that was weird haha 😂
Synchronicity?!??🎉🎉
If he ever did have blue balls it’s because she has them in a vice. What kind of person shames their husband, repeatedly, on a public platform.
Lauren is so rude to her husband. Like let the man talk WOW
Yesss !!! She cuts him multiple times in EVERY single episode. It’s painful to watch 😰. Why????
Agree; obnoxious
It’s horrible! I thought the same thing. Poor guy, she has no respect for him
Agreed! I was cringing listening to her talk down to him. I was rooting for the poor guy to tell her to shut it
I LOVE her she is adorable and real.
Really need to change the camera angles. They are at bad angles that disconnect the vidwer
12:10 not only does food affect your mood but artificial colors and processed food does affect your mood. Studies have soon how cream creamer like coffee mate causes people to be depressed
I can't find her on Instagram
So relatable ❤🙏🏼 My dogs name is even Lou Lou 🐶
Dude it was funny their banter. Y’all made it sound like it was unusually mean 😂
How many people train hard enough to see weight gain who are in an actual deficit, 1%?
The Blue Balls was a weird comparison coming from a woman. Loved it when Michael said "coming from the only person that actually has balls..." 😂
Holy shit, besides the toxic childhood, I can totally relate
can someone write the run down of what they mentioned? I was engaged but so busy I cannot watch 52 mins right now :(
Symptoms of BPD typically reduce in intensity as people age.
I discovered this channel a few days ago, the interviews are great but the way this woman interrupts her husband all the time it’s so annoying! He never finishes a sentence cause she doesn’t let him….it’s insane!
I feel like Michael feels like using the chaotic mind as an engine firt thing and burn it off before breathing.
That's me...
The dynamic between the host does not feel good. But an entertaining podcast, listened ‘till the end
Bpd is curable..
Liked the podcast because the information I found due the interview to the guest. I was about to follow the channel but those mean girl vibes of the host is a huge turn off. Specially if you’re seeking wealth in your life, I mean the way she treated her husband in my personal opinion is not healthy. Good luck ✌🏻
Maybe don’t interrupt your husband every time he speaks.
Right?! I love this interview with Meri but Lauren is not the vibes!!
Also first time watching this channel and it seems like the creator is only liking the negative comments. Weird af..
Shes got that Rachel hunter thing going on
How the accent change when they talk about London
Noticed that as well
There is something really cringe about pregnant woman that think they can do whatever they want including being rude to their partner.
Feel like the hosts kinda hate each other lmfao
This pregnant woman is too impolite I can’t really finish this podcast!
The guest can't talk for too long before constantly getting cut off, interrupted, and having to sit there and listen to the interviewers make it about themselves, it's pretty annoying. I'm sure she has helpful information, if they'd let her present it.
the BDE comment 😂😂
I loved this conversation so much! But there is one thing that I have to get off my chest... It bothers me so much that our system has to put labels on people... Don't we all feel 'the emptiness inside'? Aren't we all suffering from 'severe mood-swings' and don't know how to deal with our pain...? Don't we all have huge difficulties with relationships? They are not individual problems!! They are the consequence of our complex world and society!! The way Mari deals with her 'BPD' is the right way! Not taking toxic medications!!!! Why not shake off the label aswell...? Maybe she doesn't know it yet, but she doesn't need it!!
❤️🍀
Yes totally agree, it called just having emotions. Sometimes you are happy, sometimes anxious sometimes sad. It's normal, you don't have to be called something
Omg. That's a HUGE oversimplification. No, BPD isn't 'just having normal emotions' and 'having normal human mood swings'...BPD is far more intense and lasting than a "typical" human emotional experience. BPD have the highest rate of suicides of all disorders. Have you thought about unaliving yourself every day this week? No? Congrats, you probably don't suffer BPD!! Were you abused and neglected as a child? No? Congrats on that too!! Do NOT invalidate the horrors that some people live with on a day to day basis simply because YOU don't understand them. Your mood swings and unhappiness are not equivalent to a horrific disorder borne of trauma and abuse. Sit down and be quiet.
@@SM-cg5uy You are probably right, my apologies x
@@SM-cg5uy When an estamated 6 percent of the population has 'BPD' and over 1 in 4 people have 'a mental disorder' it is not 'a personal problem'... it is a societal problem
BPD is not normal emotions. It stems from childhood emotional neglect and not having a sense of self hence the feelings of emptiness. There is a new concept coming out in the field called CPTSD - complex post traumatic stress and I for see personality disorders such as BPD being put under that umbrella eventually.
It’s Andy 😅😂 not Nigel hahahahah
Girly pop…..LET. THE. MAN. TALK.
This! I couldn't even finish the video lmfao
Every video I've watched so far from this channel has had the same comments about how the host talks to her husband. It's really sad 😢 it's cringy to the point where I can't watch this content
BPD - does that explain why she has some sentences in a British accent and others in American accent? Like she's a prisoner to her brain/mouth as to what comes out...
It may also have to do with the fact that she grew up moving around, she was born in the UK and moved to New York so she has bits of both accents.
I say treadmeal too hahahhhah
Finally, someone explained Blue Balls to me.
Wish she would say WHAT meds she was on. There are many guests & creators that share that...she may but i can't watch all of this now. It is not a violation if she would say her meds.
Oh my gosh can she stop demeaning and publicly humiliating her husband. I don't like her energy, I'm sorry other than that cool.
She’s is rude. Please give him the Mike to speak
All thoughts Are All Lies All the time about anything. There is No BPD its just you, listening to your thoughts.. they make you feel good, to make to feel bad; your in a constant roller-coaster ride of emotions..
Emasculating the man ok
You are so bossy. Relax Lauren chill
I cant tell if she has an accent or not
it's the first time I'm listening to this podcast and I don't like the guy already. He barely talked but when he did he pissed me off...
Same, totally agree.
it’s not veruca salt it’s violet 😂
This would have been such a great podcast had it not been the constant rudeness and dismissiveness to her husband! It got worse as it went along to the point where I felt bad for the guest speaker. Your entitlement is not cute and it’s a shame because you actually were asking good questions otherwise.
Awful commentary about meditation being like a sexual problem !
Otherwise the guest was interesting
Theres no cure for bpd. No meds. You have to work extremely hard to be a nice person. Blaming anyone or circumstance outside of yourself is poor. Many people have been through incredible trauma yet kind to everyone even assholes. Good for her for trying but blaming her mom is not growth
Both knowing where it came from (like her mom in this case) and yet taking responsibility for getting your life to grow in a good direction can exist at the same time.
Lauren always dismisses her husband, and talks over him. I find that so disrespectful. she seems zero polite
Can this host stop screaming in her micro?
She sounds dramatic
I stopped watching one video did t realize these were the same couple. Interesting he is the cussing person later she is. Such an interesting topic ruined by crassness
Blah blah blah
