When you park in a rest area try to get a curb on your left side. Most tractors today have an APU (auxilary power unit) on the right side of the truck. It's a generator they run to keep the main engine off. The biggest thing to avoid is a tractor pulling a reefer unit. The darn reefer will keep you awake all night and they usually start with a bang, which will scare the crap out of you. Drove one for years and hated it! Stay safe and God Bless! Warmer weather awaits in Quartzsite! Also, when parking in a rest area, don't pull all the way to the front of the spot. Stay back about 10-15 feet. It gives the truck driver a better shot getting out and not having his tail swing hit your vehicle if the guy on his right is too close to him.
I’m impressed with how well you know your dogs, what they like and what they dislike. You all make a good family and thank you for taking us along on your journey.
Oh... deep sigh. Loved the wind and sky and wide-open space and free-roaming good dogs. Great image of another planet ;-) Thanks GO! Enjoy all that wild-ness.
Hi Go Wonderful to see again and Cute dogs they love 💕 U and U loved them to Sure it’s like Ur on different planet 😮😊 absolutely 👍🏽 ❤❤❤I got it thanks for taking me on the journey wow 😮 it’s so different away from Civilization happy Dogs 🐕 dogs 🐩
I live outside of a small town of 5K in NE AZ. I never lock my truck doors when I go to town. My GSD occupies the passenger seat while I get groceries.
I can relate to that, Ben. I’ve got a system down pretty good so I usually only have to resupply every two weeks and if I am lucky sometimes I can go almost 3 weeks without having to resupply. 🌵🌲
Have you ever camped in Texas ? I saw gas was $3.49 in Idaho, it’s $2.49 here in West Texas, summers are brutal but the winter are usually pretty mild.Glad to see your dogs out running, they love those hikes!
Hey Jeff thanks for watching! Gas is getting cheaper as we had south. I’ve been getting it as low as $2.60. I have definitely hung out in Texas before, but not camped there. The thing is there really isn’t much public land in Texas. And I pretty much camp on public lands most of the time. 🌲🌵
Chinese diesel heater. So much more efficient and quieter than the propane furnace. You can buy a kit for that gas can that comes with a vent, so no more glug glug.
When I get to sleeping, I sleep like a rock. Hard to wake me up. The truck stop I stay at currently, trucks pull in and out and I rarely get woke up by them. I’m going to try and head out possibly day after thanksgiving. I am making a trip to Buckees in Kentucky on the way to Arizona. Always wanted to check them out. Food wise ha.
Some of the trucks, though man, they are insanely loud. I learned a new trick, though to not pull all the way to the front of the space. It keeps my trailer a little bit further from the engines of the big rigs.
@ for sure. To give you a little insight on how hard I sleep, here’s a story. I retired from the navy in 2005 after 20 years. Not sure if you ever heard the alarm for general quarters or not, but I slept thru it I was so tired. Best way to put it is, imagine tornado warning sirens, but in an enclosed metal space. Look it up on UA-cam for that. Turn it all the way up and it’s like 10 times louder in real life. Not sure of the decibel level, but you can hear it go off at the end of the pier with the ship being at the very end. Yeah. I’m one of those guys that you have to physically shake me to wake me lol
You totally dote on your dogs. Don't lie. 😆🤣 Okay, I turned off my ad blocker just for you (but didn't see any ads...?) That's your one free guilt card from me. 😜 Have you ever considered making some kind of skid-plate to bolt around the sewer pipe so if it does bottom out it will hit the steel instead of the pipe? Just a thought. Re; mail...so, am I understanding correctly that if you're going to order something you look ahead to where you're going to be and find a place that will accept packages and then have it sent there? What about mail you don't know is coming? Like, if the IRS wanted to send you something? What address would they send it to and how would you get it since that type of mail usually doesn't get forwarded? I chuckled watching this because I lived most of my life out of town on farm acreage so when I moved into town 15 years ago it was hard for me to adjust to having neighbors 10 feet away (I still keep my blinds closed most of the time, lol). But now I've gotten so used to having people around all the time that the thought of being the only human for miles feels unnerving.
Yes, I have actually done that in the past. His hearing is not as sensitive anymore so if he’s inside the trailer, he tends not to hear the trucks. And I’m grateful for that but he does know what they look like when we’re outside if they let out their air brakes, he can still hear that and he hates it. 🌲🌵🐕🦺🐕
That place does look very lonely. Glad you have the pups to keep you company. I realize it's free to camp there, but not sure I would want to spend much time there.
Yeah, actually I think you are right. Most people would not like to camp in this area. It’s really pretty desolate. But for me and my dogs it’s a nice break after a couple nights at rest areas. And it’s super super quiet out here.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll try that next time I’m at a rest area! 🌲🌵

Sure thing, Debbie! It’s a side effect of me and the dogs literally being together 24/7! I have basically become a dog myself at this point! 🌵🌲🐕🐕🦺
I've said it before and I'll say it again: You three boys are meant for each other. ❤
Very cool! Thanks, AndiCat! 🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕

Glad you enjoyed it 🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕
Peace and quiet. Always a good thing.

I always say happy dogs make happy logs…

Lol, Millennium Falcon... that would make you Hans Solo and Dodger, Chewbacca.. Echo would be?
She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts! Eko is my Princess Leia! 🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕

I was thinking before you mentioned it. Except for the power lines it looked like you were on another planet. I’d live there. You are living the life.
There’s
Not
Much out here now. But I dig it as well. It’s quite peaceful 🌵🌲
You seem so happy to get out of the city and back to camping! Me, too. I am getting more and more frustrated with resupply runs.
I can relate to that, Ben. I’ve got a system down pretty good so I usually only have to resupply every two weeks and if I am lucky sometimes I can go almost 3 weeks without having to resupply. 🌵🌲

Any port in a storm. Safe travels. May the good Lord watch over you and your family and friends. Peace and Love 😊.
Thanks, spaceprepper!
I live in Boise for 35 years before I have enough of it, now living at Imperial Dam :)

I’ve thought about it but my furnace works great and I really don’t have to use it to frequently. My dogs keep
Me warm. 🌵🌲
Great.
Stuff!🫡
Thanks! 🌲🌵
I see rest area's in Oregon that say NO BIG RIGS ,and you pull in and it's full if semi trucks.😊
Yeah, it’s true, the truckers do tend to just park wherever the heck they want at rest areas.
@GotOut Stay safe and thank you for sharing. The dogs are awesome.
Your dogs are so sweet!
🐕🦺🐕
Your spaceship on earth, I love the description. New subscriber, I love your channel.
Welcome! I appreciate you checking out the channel! 🌲🌵
If your dog chases a wolf, he could die. The wolf may run, but lead him to the rest of the pack, then it's game over for Mr. Echo.
Hey buddy just thought I would mention that gas is down to $2.69 a gallon at our local Walmart here in Southwest Virginia.
When I get to sleeping, I sleep like a rock. Hard to wake me up. The truck stop I stay at currently, trucks pull in and out and I rarely get woke up by them. More to come! 🌲🌵🐕🦺🐕

Yeah mail is complicated and it usually takes me a while before I can pick
It up. . I turned off all ads just for you 🌲🌵
Have you considered playing white noise so Dodger can't hear trucks?
Yes, I have actually done that in the past. His hearing is not as sensitive anymore so if he’s inside the trailer, he tends not to hear the trucks. And I’m grateful for that but he does know what they look like when we’re outside if they let out their air brakes, he can still hear that and he hates it. 🌲🌵🐕🦺🐕

Thanks, will do! 🌲🌵

5 bucks is 5 bucks.
Your just like a fur trapper who can to come into town to sell his furs and get supplies !!

I appreciate your input. It’s a balance to try to create intriguing thumbnails and titles. The videos should speak for themselves. 🌲🌵
